Last year, Gigabyte revamped its Aero laptop and introduced a new 16” laptop. The Aero 16 is a premium content creation laptop, and it comes with Intel’s Alder Lake CPU and RTX 30-series GPU. Performance and Cooling

As the Aero 16 is a laptop targeted for creative workflow, it packs a lot of power. This laptop can be configured with up to Intel’s Core i9-12900HK and NVIDIA RTX 3080 Ti. That said, the model currently available in Nepal comes with the Intel Core i7-12700H paired with RTX 3070 Ti. In addition to the benefits of the Ampere architecture, the RTX 3070 Ti also comes with NVIDIA’s Studio Drivers to facilitate content creation.

Like the Aorus 5, the Aero 16 also comes with Azure AI, software created in collaboration with Microsoft and Gigabyte. It works by learning the energy requirements of the different apps and adjusting the wattage of the CPU and GPU accordingly. As a result, the CPU/GPU is optimized for the optimal performance of each app.

Moving forward, the WindForce Infinity cooling setup on the Aero 16 consists of 59-blade fans and a total of five heat pipes. It handles thermal design power of up to 125W between CPU and GPU under the Performance mode.

Design and Display

Gigabyte Aero 16 has an aluminum-alloy unibody chassis manufactured using the CNC production process. The chassis is complemented by edges and textures. There’s a glowing AERO logo on the branding. Despite all the power it holds underneath, the Aero 16 can easily blend in the office setting.

The display is equally impressive. Here, you get a 16” 4K AMOLED screen made by Samsung Display. Bezels around the screen are minimal, and the screen covers 100% of the DCI-P3 color coverage. The laptop is individually factory calibrated and has X-Rite and Pantone Validation, so you won’t have to worry about color accuracy. Moreover, the display has a peak brightness of 500 nits, and it is VESA DisplayHDR 500 True Black certified.

Gigabyte has included a tiny protrusion above Aero 16 2022’s top bezels to make room for the IR webcam. It is an HD cam that you can use to login into the laptop using Windows Hello. Months after its global debut, Samsung officially launched the Galaxy A23 5G in India. It’s a mid-range smartphone with Snapdragon 695 mobile silicon and an OIS camera setup. Here, we will get into the Samsung Galaxy A23 5G in more detail, including its specs, features, expected price, and availability in Nepal.

Samsung Galaxy A23 5G Overview:

Back in March 2022, Samsung launched the vanilla Galaxy A23 along with the rest of the 2022 A-lineup. It was powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 680 chipset. The chip has now been replaced with a 5G-enabled SoC in the A23 5G, among other changes.

Design and Display

The 5G version for the Samsung Galaxy A23 sports a similar design to its 4G counterpart. The back has an Ambient Edge design, as we have seen in almost all mid-range phones in the series in 2022. Over on the front, it still has the same-old Infinity-V notch design. Even there is no difference in the color options.

Performance and Memory

In charge of things inside is an octa-core Snapdragon 695 SoC. Like the Snapdragon 680 used on the 4G model, it is based on an energy-efficient 4nm process but features a more powerful CPU and GPU configuration.

The base variant of the Samsung Galaxy A23 5G ships with 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage. You can configure the phone with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Furthermore, Samsung even offers storage expansion of up to 1TB using an external MicroSD card.

Samsung Galaxy A23 5G inherits the quad-camera setup as its 4G sibling. Leading the line is a 50MP primary shooter, which even has Optical Image Stabilization. Accompanying it is a 5MP sensor with an ultrawide lens.

In addition, we get a couple of 2MP sensors for macro and portrait shots. The V-shaped notch on the front encloses an 8MP sensor for selfies and video calls.

The battery specification has also remained almost unchanged. Samsung A23 5G packs a 5,000mAh battery. The charging speed is not confirmed, although it was revealed to be 25W by an FCC listing. Like the rest of Samsung’s 2022 lineup, it boots Android 12 out of the box with OneUI 4.1 on top.

The MSI Optix G241 is yet another great alternative for 1080p gaming. It features an all-out black design except for the red joystick on the back. The build quality is average and the stand only offers tilt adjustment.

The lack of adjustability might be an issue for a few but the default height should be optimum for most.

Next up, we have the Mobiuz EX2510 which is a 144Hz IPS gaming monitor. Like the previous monitor, it features an all-plastic build be it more premium. The brand also provides a back cover to hide wires.

If gaming is your main priority, the Gigabyte G24F is an excellent choice. The 170Hz refresh rate is slightly faster than the 144Hz refresh rate found on most gaming monitors.

In terms of design, this monitor is made entirely of plastic, with no colored accents. The stand has a wide range of height and tilt adjustments, but no swivel.

It has a maximum brightness of 300 nits and a contrast ratio of 1000:1, both of which are adequate for FPS gaming. The 90 percent DCI-P3 and 120 percent sRGB coverage of the IPS panel results in vibrant colors.

The factory color setting, on the other hand, is slightly disappointing with its green tint. As a result, it is advised that you fine-tune it with a good ICC profile.

At CES 2023, MSI refreshed some of its most popular and powerful laptops. One of them is the MSI Titan GT77 HX, which now includes the latest Intel and Nvidia chips. And it is the world’s first gaming laptop to arrive with a 4K 144Hz Mini LED display. The Titan GT77 HX is visually identical to its predecessor. That is an all-black finish with a protrusion behind the display that houses most of the cooling system.
