Nvidia announced the flagship RTX 4090 and RTX 4080 graphics cards back in September 2022 at the GPU Technology Conference (GTC) event. Whereas the company followed it up with the RTX 4070 Ti a couple of months later, which is reportedly three times more powerful than the flagship card in RTX 30 series, the RTX 3090 Ti. A bit of controversy

As aforementioned, NVIDIA kicked off the RTX 40 series with RTX 4090 and RTX 4080. And the 4080 came in two flavors: one with 12GB VRAM and the other with 16GB (among other differences). But after facing backlashes from the community on the 12GB RTX 4080, NVIDIA pulled it back and re-released it as RTX 4070 Ti instead. While also dropping the price by USD 100.

Here, the RTX 4070 Ti is based on the same Ada Lovelace architecture and therefore boasts features like DLSS 3 as well. And the company claims that this card is faster than 3090 Ti at nearly half the power consumption. Whereas the 4070 Ti has a 12x better relative performance upgrade over the GTX 1080 Ti launched back in 2016.

Besides 12GB GDDR6X video memory, it has 285W TGP, 7680 CUDA cores, 3rd-gen RT cores, 4th-gen Tensor cores, and a 192-bit memory bus. Similarly, its base and boost clock speeds are 2.31 GHz and 2.61 GHz, respectively.

Alongside the RTX 4090 graphics card, Nvidia announced the new GeForce RTX 4080. It is among the first card based on Nvidia’s Ada Lovelace architecture. And it is now available in Nepal as well. So let’s get into the specs, features, availability, and official price of the Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080 in Nepal.

Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080 Overview:

Fabricated on TSMC’s 4N (5nm) architecture, Nvidia will sell RTX 4080 in two memory variants: 12GB and 16GB. Despite sharing the RTX 4080 moniker, these two pairs have significant differences.

The RTX 4080 12GB has 7,680 CUDA cores, a base clock speed of 2.31GHz that can be boosted to 2.61GHz, 639 Tensor-TFLOPs, 92 RT-TFLOPs, and 40 Shader-TFLOPs. The 16GB RTX 4080, on the other hand, has 9,728 CUDA Cores, a base clock speed of 2.21GHz, a boost clock speed of 2.51GHz, 780 Tensor-TFLOPs, 113 RT-TFLOPs, and 49 Shader-TFLOPs of power.

Because of the significant difference in their core hardware, Nvidia recommends a different power supply for the 12GB and 16GB models. The former will require a power supply of at least 700W, whereas the latter will require at least 750W.

Furthermore, while Nvidia hasn’t revealed many details about the RTX 4080 in terms of its performance gains, the company claims that it’s two to four times faster than the RTX 3080 Ti. That is already 10% to 15% faster than the RTX 3080. This increase in performance can be attributed to two factors in particular: DLSS 3 and Shader Execution Reordering (SER).

New and improved Ray Tracing, DLSS

The RTX 4080 include fourth-generation Tensor cores and an Ada Optical Flow Accelerator to enable DLSS 3. Deep Learning Super Sampling neural graphics technology in its third generation can generate entire frames for a better gaming experience. It is especially useful when CPU performance is limited because the GPU generates entire frames independently.

Similarly, the new third-generation RT cores combined with SER can significantly improve ray tracing performance. The third generation RT cores, according to Nvidia, provide 2x faster ray-triangle intersection testing and include two significant new hardware units. Whereas the SER improves ray tracing performance by prioritizing ray tracing operations based on available computational power.

After months of anticipation, Nvidia finally announced the RTX 40 series of GPUs at its virtual GTC 2022 event. The company unveiled the new “Ada Lovelace” architecture-based RTX 4090 and RTX 4080 graphics cards. In this article, we will go over the specifications, features, availability, and price of the Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090 graphics card in Nepal.

Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090 Overview:

As aforementioned, the RTX 4090 is based on the new “Ada Lovelace” architecture and is manufactured on TSMC’s “4N” (5nm) fabrication process that NVIDIA says is up to two times more power efficient than the 8nm process it used for its 30 Series cards.

Inside, the GPU features 16,384 CUDA cores, up from 10,496 on the RTX 3090, and has 24GB of GDDR6X memory on a 384-bit bus. With this, Nvidia claims that the RTX 4090 is 2-4 times faster than the RTX 3090 Ti while consuming the same amount of power as the previous generation card.

Likewise, the card can operate at the base and boost clock speeds of 2.23GHz and 2.52GHz, respectively—an improvement over the RTX 3090’s 1.40 GHz base and 1.70 GHz boost clock speeds. Nvidia recommends a power supply of at least 850W for a PC with Ryzen 5900X processor.

Furthermore, the Founder’s Edition of the RTX 40 series graphics card now features improved Dual Axial Flow cooling. It has a 10% increase in fan size and fin volume and includes an upgraded 23-phase power supply.

Next-gen Ray tracing, DLSS

The new Nvidia RTX 4090 graphics card also brings significant improvements in ray-tracing performance. All credit goes to the third-generation RT cores, as well as the inclusion of a new rendering technique called Shader Execution Reordering.

Part of this improvement can also be attributed to the new Deep Learning Super Sampling 3 (DLSS 3). Instead of generating just pixels, the third generation of DLSS can now generate an entire frame independently. It’s similar to the MEMC or frame interpolation technology found in modern smart TVs. But this process is clearly more advanced since Nvidia is improving overall game performance rather than just smoothing out the video.

The DLSS 3 relies on fourth-generation Tensor Cores and “Optical Flow Accelerator,” which predicts movement in a scene by comparing two high-resolution frames and then generates intermediate frames. And the best part here is that it does not use the PC’s main processor, so this method is especially useful for CPU-limited games. In Nvidia’s in-house test, Cyberpunk 2077 was able to yield 62fps in 4K resolution in DLSS 2 but was easily able to exceed 100FPS with DLSS 3 on RTX 4090.

According to Nvidia, approximately 35 apps and games will initially support DLSS 3. This includes Portal RTX, older titles like The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, and releases based on Unreal Engine 4 and 5. Aside from that, all RTX 40-series cards will include new Nvidia ShadowPlay support for recording gameplay at up to 8K resolution at 60fps in HDR.

Nvidia has officially unveiled the much-anticipated GeForce RTX 4070 desktop GPU. It’s the fifth member of the RTX 40-series family and is the successor to RTX 3070. So let’s get into the specs, features, availability, and latest price of the Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 in Nepal.

Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 Overview:

As expected, the Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 is built on the Ada Lovelace architecture, typical of the RTX 40 series. In this article, we have listed the latest price of NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Super and 1650 Super in Nepal. These two cards were launched back in 2019 as a more powerful alternative to GTX 1660 and GTX 1650, respectively.

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Super Overview:

Originally priced at $229, the GTX 1660 Super first hit the market on 22 November 2019.  priced at $229. The cheaper GTX 1650 super accompanied it.

Talking about the GTX 1660 Super, the graphic card uses 1408 CUDA cores. That’s similar to the GTX 1660 model. Furthermore, their 1530MHz base speed and the 1785MHz boost clock speeds are also the same. Nevertheless, there is a difference between them. The major one is the use of a faster 14Gbps GDDR6 memory on the GTX 1660 Super as compared to the GTX 1660, which uses 8Gbps GDDR5. Nvidia also claims the GTX 1660 Super is 20% faster than the GTX 1660.

However, the GTX 1660 Super still lags behind the GTX 1660 Ti. On paper, at least! Now, that might be primarily because it packs more CUDA cores. 1536 to be specific. However, that might not be the case in actuality. That’s because the GTX 1660 Ti is not as faster as the standard GTX 1660. Also, the GTX 1660 Super has a higher-clocked memory. Thus, I do not think we will find the correct answer without putting them to the test.

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Super Price in Nepal

The price of NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Super in Nepal starts at Rs. 32,000 in Nepal. This is almost on par with the starting market price of GTX 1660 Ti too. You can buy both cards from Hukut in Nepal.

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 Super Overview:

Moving on to the GTX 1650 Super, it comes as the extension of the standard GTX 1650. It packs 1280 CUDA cores. More than the 896 cores that the GTX 1650 uses. It also has a higher base clock of 1665MHz and also a higher boost clock of 1485MHz. Furthermore, it comes with 12Gbps GDDR6 memory. However, 4GB is its limitation. Per Nvidia, the upgrades make the GTX 1650 Super 50% faster than the GTX 1650.

Now, these new graphics cards won’t bring you real-time ray tracing. That’s still limited to the RTX and the RTX Super models only. However, the 1660 Super offers two times better performance than the 10- series cards. Furthermore, these new cards come with the latest Nvidia drivers.
