We recently heard the rumour that the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE was under the works. Meanwhile, the buzz about Samsung foldables receiving the “FE” update has been going around for a while too. Apparently, another Samsung device is joining the “FE” gang now — the Galaxy Watch! In this article, we will discuss all that we know of the Samsung Galaxy Watch FE so far.

Initially, the South Korean tech giant was rumoured to be launching a new variant of the Galaxy Watch 4 alongside the Tab S6 Lite (2024). However, we did not see it pan out. Instead, the tablet was out silently and did not receive much noise whatsoever. In the meantime, there were no signs of this Galaxy Watch 4 (2024) either.

Surprise, surprise! There will be no Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 (2024) — instead — we will be getting the Samsung Galaxy Watch FE! This news comes from some clues the Android Headlines team got their hands on. Herein, we can see the market name of the watch, the manufacturer, and three different model numbers of the watch. This hints that the Samsung Galaxy Watch FE will be available in the global (F), the US (U), and the Korean (N) market.

What to expect?

I have already stated that the Samsung Galaxy Watch FE will more or less be a rebrand of the Galaxy Watch 4 that launched back in 2021. As such, it will probably come in round casing. Or they might go square perhaps?

Other than that, the watch will likely receive a software update and boot on the latest Google Wear OS. Meanwhile, it should have the same flagship-like features and functionality.

There is barely any information on this FE model of the Galaxy Watch as of now. However, we can assume that it will cover more budget-friendly space. Maybe, around USD 100 to 150 range?

Not after the long release of the Honor X7b, Honor has officially listed a 5G variant on their website. While the smartphone doesn’t differ a lot from the 4G variant, it does come with an upgraded chipset. Design and Internals

The Xiaomi Air Fryer 6L comes in a slightly conical shape and black colour with a glossy finish. It has a panel on the front with touch control and multi-functional icons. Tecno Pova 6 Neo Overview

One of the headlining features of this new Pova is its MASSIVE battery capacity. Though the vanilla Pova 6 and the pricier Pova 6 Pro feature big 6000 mAh cells, the Neo outshines them by housing an even larger 7000 mAh lithium battery. The company promises 80%+ battery endurance even after 6 years of use or 1600 cycles — ridiculous.

Charging is relatively average with a 33W brick inside the box.

Benco has always targeted the lower-budget phone industry with its smartphones. Their Y and V series featured major features at costs under NPR 15K. Even this time, with the release of the new S series, starting with S1, they have continued this trend. So let’s learn more about the Benco S1, including its specifications, features, official price, and availability in Nepal.

Benco S1 Overview:

Design and Display

Benco S1 features a slim body measuring 8.5mm with rounded corners. The back has a matte finish that gives a premium feel to the mobile phone. Furthermore, it arrives in two color variants, i.e. Emerald Green and Gemstone Black—both of which feature a big glossy camera island.

Over on the performance front, Benco brings Unisoc T606 built on a 12nm processor. It is an octa-core processor with two Cortex-A75 “Performance” (@1.6GHz) and six Cortex-A55 (@1.6GHz) “Efficiency cores. And for the graphics, it comes with ARM Mali-G57 MP1 GPU.

Moreover, the device provides you with 4 GB of physical RAM and 3GB of virtual RAM on top. The S1 can store up to 128 GB of whatever you want to add, and that threshold can be extended via a micro SD card. Benco has used UFS 2.2 storage which performs considerably faster than eMMC, usually found in budget devices.

AMD announces Ryzen Embedded 8000 series processors for ‘Industrial AI’

AMD has recently announced a ‘breakthrough innovation’ in the realm of industrial Artificial Intelligence (AI) with the introduction of the Ryzen 8000 series embedded processor. According to AMD, these processors promise a significant leap forward in handling demanding workloads within AI applications, setting a new standard for processing performance, integration, and onboard AI acceleration. AMD Ryzen Embedded 8000 Series: Overview

Embedded Processors

The Ryzen 8000 series processors are the first to integrate a Neural Processing Unit (NPU) built on AMD’s innovative XDNA architecture. This integration changes the landscape of industrial computing by enabling targeted, efficient AI acceleration for improved computational agility and reduced power consumption. AMD states that NPUs bring forth a new era of AI processing by providing specialized inferencing at the processor layer, catering to applications such as machine vision, robotics, monitoring, and human-machine interfaces (HMI).

These processors deliver a range of thermal design power (TDP) profiles, spanning from 15W to 54W. With a top maximum performance of 16 trillion operations per second (TOPS) delivered by the NPU, and the full processor performance scales up to 39 TOPS.

New Chipsets

Some months prior, AMD unveiled the 8000 series. However, in this latest release, they introduced two new processors in the embedded series: the 8845HS and 8645HS. Both chips boast 16MB of L3 cache and a 45W TDP, with maximum turbo frequencies reaching up to 5.1GHz and 5.0GHz respectively. Additionally, the 8845HS offers an 8-core/16-thread configuration, while the 8645HS features 6 cores and 12 threads.

Connectivity and Others

The Ryzen 8000 series processors ensure efficient data transfer with 20 lanes of high-speed PCIe Gen 4 connectivity. Moreover, support for dual-channel DDR5 5600 memory with error correction (ECC) enhances reliability and keeps operations running smoothly. These processors can also power four independent 4K displays, enabling visually stunning output for industrial applications.

With 20 lanes of on-chip PCIe Gen4, ample I/O flexibility is provided for specialized accelerators and other add-ons. The inclusion of dual-channel memory support and the latest AMD RDNA 3 graphics technology optimizes visual processing and multimedia performance, catering to the demands of industrial systems requiring graphical consoles and status panels.
