POCO M7 launches in India as a rebranded Redmi 14C 5G

Xiaomi has rebranded the Redmi 14C 5G and launched it as the Poco M7. This phone comes with features like the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 and a 50MP dual rear camera. In this article, we’ll take a closer look at the Poco M7, its specifications, and its expected price in Nepal.

Poco M7 Overview

Design and Display

Starting with the design, the Poco M7 features a flat frame with slightly curved edges. On the back, there’s a round camera island with two cameras, an LED light, and what seems like a dummy sensor just to complete the circular design. Furthermore, the phone has a dual-tone look with a sleek finish. It measures 171.88 x 77.8 x 8.22mm and weighs 205.39g. The phone is available in Mint Green, Ocean Blue, and Satin Black colors.

Poco M7 Design

On the front, it has a 6.88-inch HD+ display with a resolution of 720 x 1,640 pixels and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. The touch sampling rate is 240Hz, and the peak brightness can reach 600 nits. It’s certified for TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light, Flicker Free, and Circadian, making it easier on the eyes. Additionally, the phone has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security and an IP52 rating for dust and splash resistance.

Performance and Battery

Under the hood, the Poco M7 is powered by the same chipset as the Redmi 14C 5G: the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2. It’s an octa-core processor with two Cortex-A78 cores that go up to 2.2GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores that go up to 2GHz. Compared to its predecessor, the speeds of this chipset are 200 MHz faster. Furthermore, the phone offers up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, with a microSD slot that supports up to 1TB of extra storage.

It runs on Android 14 with the HyperOS interface along with 2 years of Android updates and 4 years of security updates. As for the battery, the M7 comes with a 5,160 mAh battery and supports 18W wired charging, although the box includes a 33W charger.

Poco M7 features

Camera and Rest

The camera setup is the same as the Redmi 14C, featuring a 50MP Sony IMX852 main sensor and another secondary sensor (which is unknown for now). For selfies and video calls, the front camera features an 8MP sensor. Both front and rear cameras can record 1080p video at 30fps.
Moving on to connectivity, the Poco M7 supports 5G, dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, GLONASS, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB Type-C port.

Infinix Note 50 (4G) launched with a 144Hz screen and Helio G100 Ultimate!

Infinix’s 50 series is officially here, but we are only getting the 4G variants right now. These sport a brand new design, 144Hz displays, and Helio G100 (Ultimate) chipset. We have already covered the Infinix Note 50 Pro (4G) here so in this piece, let’s take a quick look at the Infinix Note 50 (4G), its specs and features, alongside expected price in Nepal and availability.

Infinix Note 50 (4G) Overview

Design and Display

Honestly, I kinda like how bold Infinix is with their design philosophy. The Note 50 4G has a regular looking front with thin bezels and a hole punch, but where it truly calls for a look is at the back. The phone will be available in four regular colors: Ruby red, Mountain Shade, Shadow Black, and Titanium Grey, but the quadilateral camera island and the squircle camera rings truly give it a different look! For durability, the Note 50 series ships with IP64 dust and water resistance alongside a new ‘Armor Alloy’ frame with anti-fingerprint coating.

On the display end, it’s a large 6.78” FHD+ (1080×2436) flat AMOLED screen without any of the slight curves that we saw in its Pro sibling. The base Note 50 also misses out on the Gorilla Glass protection, but it has the same blazing 144Hz refresh rate, 1300 nits of peak brightness, and a 2160Hz Touch Sampling rate. The bottom chin is slightly thicker than the rest, but the phone looks very modern and minimal overall.

Performance and Memory

Being a 4G phone in 2025 means there are not really that many options when it comes to picking a processor. As such, both the Infinix Note 50 and the Note 50 Pro sport a MediaTek Helio G100 Ultimate chipset with eight Cortex ARM cores! This 6nm SoC features two A76 performance cores running at up to 2.2 GHz complemented by six A55 cores running at 2 GHz.

MediaTek Helio G100 Ultimate Chipset

As for the memory, the standard Note 50 (4G) ships in a sole 8 GB RAM plus 256GB storage configuration while you can also allocate some part of the latter to extend RAM (virtually) to 16GB. The phone boots on Android 15 based XOS 15 but we don’t know the exact number of promised updates yet!

Cameras and Battery

Despite the daunting looking housing, the camera hardware on the Note 50 series is your typical: primary + macro + AI lens layout. The 50MP main sensor features Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) for shake-free photos while the 2MP macro and AI lens aren’t stellar in terms of their capabilities. On the front, you get a 13MP selfie camera.

Battery life will probably be pretty good on the Note 50 thanks to its large 5,200 mAh cell. The charging speed is fast enough at 45W but the Pro version gets twice the power at 90W. This base variant also loses out on wireless charging capabilities, but the 10W reverse wireless charging is still there.

Infinix AI and Rest

Alongside the Note 50 series, the brand also unveiled Infinix AI∞ – an AI assistant to enhance user experience. Users can activate the AI with a tap on the power button and use it for generating AI content, editing pictures, or simply just asking questions. It can also search for images and summarize texts alongside other cool features like real-time call translation and auto-call answering.

There’s also the Active Halo AI Lighting that acts as alerts for notifications and calls. It can show real-time duration for camera timers and videos as well! Cool. Besides all that, you get JBL tuned speakers, NFC support, infrared sensor, and an optical in display fingerprint sensor as well. For connectivity, there’s dual band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.4, and the USB-Type-C port.

Infinix Note 50 (4G) Specifications:

  • Display: 6.78-inches AMOLED screen, FHD+, 144Hz refresh rate, 1300 nits
  • Chipset:
    • Mediatek Helio G100 Ultimate (6nm mobile platform)
    • 2x Cortex A76 + 6x Cortex A55
  • Memory: 8GB LPDDR4X, 256GB UFS 2.2 storage (expandable)
  • Software & UI: XOS 15 based on Android 15
  • Rear Camera: Triple (50MP primary + 2MP macro + AI Lens)
  • Front Camera: 13MP sensor (punch-hole)
  • Security: Fingerprint sensor (optical)

Infinix Note 50 Price in Nepal and Availability

The new Note launched in Indonesia with an ask of IDR 2,899,000. When it makes its way here, we expect the Infinix Note 50 (4G) Price in Nepal to be around NPR 28,999.

Nubia Focus 2 Ultra announced with rotatable lens ring and camera grip support

0

Nubia might not be the most popular name in the smartphone world but it has always been an innovative one. Providing aesthetic smartphones with good camera and performance, its flagships are comparatively cheaper too. However, in this article, I’m gonna talk about the Nubia Focus 2 Ultra, which is a midrange phone by the way, but with some interesting features for the price. Without further ado, let’s dive deep into the specs, features, and the expected price of Nubia Focus 2 Ultra in Nepal.

Nubia Focus 2 Ultra Overview

Camera with a Camera Grip

Well well, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra is not only the guy with a camera grip accessory at the MWC 2025. The Nubia Focus Ultra 2 has also joined the race. This guy has a built-in capture button that also acts as a camera shutter plus a rotatable lens ring that can be used to zoom in and zoom out. Plus, it supports a dedicated camera grip with a physical dial that can adjust zoom levels or preset features as well.

There are two additional lenses while Nubia mentions a five focal length—13mm, 24mm, 35mm, 50mm, and 72mm. So, we can derive a 13mm Ultrawide sensor and a 50mm telephoto lens that can zoom up to 72mm. But that’s still a guess until Nubia officially takes the curtain off.

Performance

Under the hood, the device packs a Unisoc T760 SoC, which is a budget 5G chip built on a 6nm process with four ARM Cortex-A76 cores at 2.2GHz and Cortex-A55 CPU cores at 2.0GHz. The promotional poster showcases up to storage of 512GB and 8GB of RAM. You can also virtually expand the RAM to 20GB (8GB +12GB).

Design and Display

Talking about the design, the Focus 2 Ultra boasts an eye-catching look with a profound camera module and a slim body. ZTE ships this guy in two shades: Forest Green with vegan leather back and Sunrise White with reflective back panel. As for the display, it sports a 6.8-inch FHD+ AMOLED panel with 120Hz refresh rate and 2800nits of local peak brightness.

Nubia Focus 2 Ultra Design

Battery, Charging and Others

Moving on, the smartphone gets its juice from a 5000mAh battery which supports 33W of fast charging. In terms of audio, the dual speaker setup here is contemplated by DTS:X Ultra tech. Furthermore, it comes with AI features such as AI Magic Editor, AI Face Stickers, and AI Real-Time Translate.

iPhone 16 Pro Overview

Design and Build

The design side of things for the iPhone 16 Pro is no different than the Pro Max model. Just a smaller body and a smaller display, rest apart, it’s the same. Just like its big bro, it features two additional buttons on the side rails— an action button and a new capture button. The Pro model also comes with titanium frames with Corning glass on the front and back. Meanwhile, the color options are Black Titanium, White Titanium, Natural Titanium, and Desert Titanium.

iPhone 16 Pro Design

As for the display, Apple has bumped the display side to 6.3 inches from 6.12 inches of the iPhone 15 Pro. When talking of the OLED panel, the 16 Pro features LTPO Super Retina XDR made by Samsung with superior brightness and longevity with a 120Hz refresh rate.

A18 Pro and some AI

The Pro moniker for the iPhones stands for a Pro SoC, since the inception of the iPhone 15 Pro Series, flaunting an A17 Pro SoC. Before that, all of the siblings shared the same chipsets. This year as well, the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max are getting the Pro one, the A18 Pro chip with on-device AI capabilities. Meanwhile, the storage variants start at 256GB and go all the way up to 2TB.

Apple A18 Pro Chipset

As Apple Intelligence, its own version of AI has also arrived, the Pro models are the first ones to benefit. The Apple Intelligence is useful in auto-generated Apple Music playlists, integration with productivity apps for AI-assisted content creation, and more.

5X telephoto Lens

iPhone 16 Pro Camera

The iPhone 16 Pro just like its older sibling (Pro Max) now offers 5x optical zoom. The 48MP main camera, with Digital Gain control and a stacked sensor design, delivers enhanced image and video quality. Additionally, the ultrawide camera has been upgraded to 48MP, improving low-light performance. Moreover, now you can shoot videos up to 120 fps @ 4K.

Battery

As for the juice, the iPhone 16 Pro packs an updated stainless steel casing for higher battery density, by up to 10%, of course for better battery life. It boasts a 2.5% battery capacity improvement with a 3,355mAh cell as compared to the 3,274mAh one on the iPhone 15 Pro. The MagSafe alignment magnets in the iPhone 16 models are now slimmer than before, cutting down on the size of the magnetic ring required for MagSafe-compatible cases.

Realme C63 is now also available in 8/128GB variant!

Realme launched the Realme 12X 5G just a while ago in Nepal. In the meantime, the company has launched a new phone—Realme C63 that supports the “Air Gesture” feature and comes with a budget price. And a new 8/128GB cue is also available. In this article, we will discuss the Realme C63 in further detail, including its official price in Nepal.

Realme C63 Overview

Design and Display

The design of Realme C63 is pretty much a copy-paste of iPhones on the back. This phone comes with a squircle camera island that houses three circular cutouts. The back panel does have unique finishes though. As the name suggests, the Leather Blue options come in a vegan leather finish. Meanwhile, the Jade Green finish has a smooth texture with watery patterns. Additionally, the phone also boasts IP54 dust and water resistance.

Realme C63 Design

On the front, it comes with a 6.74-inch display with a waterdrop cutout. Realme shies away from mentioning the panel type of the C63. However, they do mention a refresh rate of 90Hz, a touch sampling rate of 180Hz, and an HD+ resolution. Other than that, the screen offers a brightness range from just 1 nit to 560 nits.

  • Meanwhile, also check out all the prices and specs of Realme products here

Performance

The performance of the Realme C63 is driven by the UNISOC T612 processor. It is a low-powered silicon that comes with eight cores, and a rather old 12 nanometre fabrication process. Both its performance and efficiency cores clock in at just 1.8GHz. Hence, you cannot expect too much performance out of the Realme C63.

Unisoc T612

In addition to that, this phone comes with two RAM as well as two storage options. Firstly, the Realme C63 is available in either 6GB or 8GB memory choices with an option to further extend it an additional 8GB virtually. In terms of storage, you get 128GB and 256GB options. The phone has a MicroSD card for external storage, the limit for which has not been specified.

Camera and the rest

Talking of the optics, the primary camera on the Realme C63 is a 50MP shooter. Meanwhile, the auxiliary lens just serves as a decor and nothing else. Regardless, the camera is capable of all the standard functions along with QR code scanning. Likewise, the Realme C63 comes with an 8MP camera on the front, which also helps out with the Air Gesture feature. With this, you can perform tasks like scrolling by just waving in front of the screen.

Realme C63 Air Gestures

It’s pretty obvious that the Realme C63 is imitating the iPhone with its looks, but it does not stop there though. It comes with the Mini Capsule 2.0 feature which is a Dynamic Island knock-off. Similarly, it also allows you to set a desired function when pressing the power button like switching to flight mode, torch, silent mode, turning on camera, etc. This is also pretty much a copy of the Action button introduced in the iPhone 15 series. Nevertheless, they are nifty features that add to the feel of the phone. Lastly, the Realme C63 packs a 5,000 mAh battery with 45W charging support and comes with 360° NFC.

  • Design: Flat design with vegan leather finish or watery pattern

iPhone 16 Overview

Design

The major design change that we have witnessed on the iPhone 16 is the redesigned camera module. The Cupertino tech giant has brought back the vertical camera layout from the past on this new guy. It’s quite a while since we haven’t seen a vertical module since the iPhone 12.

iPhone 16 Display

Meanwhile, the boxy frame design is here to stay with a metal build in the middle. That’s because the more sturdy and fancy titanium build is reserved for the Pro models to maintain the gap, obviously. Plus, the Action Button is also now available on the vanilla model for the first time, bidding farewell to the mute switch button (RIP alert slider). So, the volume rockers are there below the action button. Well, that’s not only it, Apple has also added an extra Capture Button on the side of the power button as well. As for the color, it comes in Black, White, Pink, Teal, and Ultramarine.

Display

In terms of display, the iPhone 16 features a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR display, the same as its predecessor. While Apple has redesigned the camera module, it has also introduced much thinner bezels. However, the refresh rate remains at 60Hz, which is surprising given that we are nearing the end of 2024. But, as always, it’s Apple being Apple!

Performance

The iPhone 16 uses the Apple 18 SoC across the board. Likewise, a new thermal design with a graphene layer also comes with the iPhone 16 models. Similarly, you’ll now get the memory of 8GB supported by a storage capacity of up to 512GB.

iPhone 16 Specifications

Besides that, a bunch of AI improvements are in the store, with Apple Intelligence marking a new feat in the smartphone market.

Camera, Battery, and Others

iPhone 16 Specifications

The iPhone 16 retains its dual-camera setup, featuring a 48MP main camera and a 12MP ultrawide camera with autofocus, without a resolution upgrade this time. However, it now offers the ability to capture macro shots. On the battery front, it brings a 3,561mAh battery which might contribute to a longer 6% battery life. Moreover, the iPhone 16 brings WiFi 7, a USB Type-C port, and an AI-enhanced Siri experience.

iPhone 16 Specifications

  • Display: 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR display, 60Hz refresh rate
  • Resolution: 2556 x 1179 pixels
  • Processor: Apple 18 SoC

iPhone 16 Plus Overview

A vertical camera module

Just like the regular iPhone 16, the iPhone 16 Plus comes with a redesigned camera module. Yes, the vertical layout from the iPhone 12 era is coming back, but it’s getting a slight new touch as it’s 2024 already. Other than that, we also get a boxy metal frame and a glass sandwich design.

iPhone 16 Plus Design

What’s even better this time is the addition of the action button and a new capture button, allowing new possibilities. So, yeah, the alert slider will be now a thing of the past! And as a “Plus” sibling, the iPhone 16 Plus obviously boasts a taller body.

Display

On the display side, the iPhone 16 Plus features a 6.7-inch Super Retina XDR display. The FaceID is also here to stay for 3D biometrics security. Besides that, the refresh rate sticks at 60Hz to segregate the gap between regular and Pro models. A 120Hz motion rate would be a much more welcoming addition as we are already cruising down the ship from 2024 to 2025.

Performance

The performance side of things is taken care of by the new Apple A18 chipset. It isn’t a Pro model but instead a regular one. However, it does bring substantial improvement over the A17 Bioinic used on the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus. The iPhone 16 Plus comes with the latest AI features alongside iOS 18, but the more exciting AI goodies is only exclusive to the Pro siblings.

Camera

iPhone 16 Plus Design

In terms of optics, this smartphone flaunts a dual-camera setup. A 48MP main camera with OIS and a 12MP ultrawide unit. On the selfie front, you get 12 MP camera sensor as usual.

Battery and Others

iPhone 13 gets cheaper in Nepal

1

While the latest iPhone 16 series is quite expensive given its latest features like a bigger camera sensor, USB Type C, and faster performance, the 4-year-old iPhone 13 might be the right phone at the right price for most Apple enthusiasts. It has received a price cut as well. So let’s take a look at the regular iPhone 13 and its discounted price in Nepal, specifications, and more.

iPhone 13 Overview:

Design and Display

iPhone 13 comes with the same flat edge design that Apple offered in last year’s iPhones. The frame makes use of aluminum while the corners are rounded. Similarly, the notch on the front is also smaller this time.

Moving on, there is not much to talk about the display. This 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR OLED screen is brighter while retaining all the features of its predecessor. Still, it would have been better if Apple had included 120Hz ProMotion on the non-Pro iPhone 13s, too.

iPhone 13 Display and Design

Moving on, the iPhone 13 has an IP68 rating against dust and water damage. It is offered in five color options: (PRODUCT)RED, Starlight, Midnight, Blue, and Pink.

Performance and Memory

Like the rest of the entries in this lineup, the standard iPhone 13 is powered by the A15 Bionic chipset as well. Apple’s latest mobile silicon is based on TSMC’s 5nm process node and packs 15 billion transistors. Still, the iPhone 13 is not as powerful as its Pro siblings. Here, Apple has included a 6-core CPU and a 4-core GPU—contrary to the 5-core GPU on the iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max.

Apple A15 Processor

Apple is also claiming a significant boost in machine learning applications with its new 16-core Neural Engine, which is capable of 15.8 TOPS.

Camera

At the back, Apple has redesigned the camera bump, where the camera sensors are placed diagonally instead. While the ultra-wide camera has remained unchanged, the primary camera gets a couple of changes.

To start with, the iPhone 13 comes with a bigger sensor that can capture 47% more light compared to last year. It’s the same one that was used in last year’s Pro models. Similarly, sensor-shift Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) is now on the vanilla iPhone as well.

iPhone 13 camera setup

With the new Cinematic mode, the iPhone 13 can now automatically shift the focus between subjects based on their movement. One can even change the focus after the recording using apps like Photos and iMovie. Like always, there is a 12MP TrueDepth camera on the front.

Rest of the specs

iPhone 13 also brings a bigger battery. Apple claims that the new 3,240mAh cell on the iPhone 13 can last 2 hours more on offline video playback than the iPhone 12. The charging speed is the same as last year though.

It supports 20W wired, 15W MagSafe Wireless, and 7.5W Qi Wireless charging. However, you will have to buy the charger separately as Apple doesn’t include one on the box.

iPhone 13 Specifications:

  • Dimension: 146.7 x 71.5 x 7.65mm, 174 grams
  • Display: 6.1-inch (2532 × 1170 pixels) OLED, 460 PPI, Super Retina XDR

iPhone 14 gets a price slash in Nepal

0

It’s been quite some time since Apple unveiled the iPhone 14 series. The iPhone 14 is the most affordable in this lineup but was launched at exorbitant pricing in Nepal. However, you can now get it at much-discounted prices right now. So, let’s take a look at the specifications, features, availability, and the latest official price of the iPhone 14 in Nepal.

iPhone 14 Overview:

Design, Display

The iPhone 14 retains the same design as its predecessor. That means a big notch on the front and camera lenses aligned diagonally on the back. The entire body is made of aerospace-grade aluminum and is dust and water resistant to IP68 standards.

iPhone 14 Design and Display

Similarly, a Ceramic shield protects the iPhone 14’s front. The screen size is 6.1-inch and, as expected, it’s a SuperRetina XDR OLED display with Dolby Vision HDR, P3, and True Tone support. Other display features include a peak HDR brightness of 1200nits and a refresh rate of 60Hz. Sadly there’s no ProMotion this time as well.

Performance

Apple A15 Processor

Inside, Apple has packed last year’s A15 Bionic chip over the latest A16 Bionic. However, this is a 5-core GPU version of the SoC found in last year’s flagship iPhone 13 Pro models. As a result, it performs 18% better than its predecessor. There are three storage options: 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB.

Cameras

As for the optics, the iPhone 14 features dual cameras on the back, including a 12MP wide-angle primary sensor with a larger f/1.5 aperture, sensor-shift OIS, and a secondary 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens. These bigger camera sensors when paired with the new Photonic Engine deliver a significant improvement in low-light performance.

The Photonic Engine is a deep integration of hardware and software that improves the main sensor’s mid-to-low-light performance by 2.5x and the ultrawide and selfie camera’s performance by 2x. For the first time, the front camera also has an autofocus feature for selfies and video chats.

Battery

In terms of battery life, the iPhone 14 can provide up to 80 hours of audio playback and up to 20 hours of video playback. It charges with a 20W adapter and takes about 30 minutes to reach 50% capacity. There is also support for 15W MagSafe Wireless and 7.5W Qi wireless charging.

Extras

Finally, with the iPhone 14 series, Apple also announced a “Crash Detection” feature that makes use of the phone’s high-dynamic range gyroscope and dual-core accelerometer. When an accident is detected, the smartphone automatically connects to the emergency service.

iPhone 14 Series Satellite Connectivity

There’s also a new Emergency SOS via Satellite feature, which allows users to send messages even when there’s no cellular connection on the iPhone 14. For this, you need to point the phone directly at a satellite. But since satellites constantly revolve around the earth, Apple has created specialized software that shows you exactly where to point your phone to hit a satellite. This feature is free for two years in the United States and Canada.
