So, without further ado, let’s take a look at the best smartphones available in Nepal.
How to find the best flagship smartphones in Nepal?
When searching for the best smartphones to buy in Nepal, you’ll need a decent bit of research to help filter out the options. Considering the number of options available, it can be a bit overwhelming, but that’s exactly where we come in. We’ve tried our best to summarize the pros and cons of each device in this list of the best smartphones in Nepal, but make sure to check our full review for more details.
Anyway, if you’re team Apple all the way, then your buying decision gets a bit easier. Say you want the biggest, boldest, most expensive iPhone, then the iPhone 17 Pro Max is where it’s at. Or the regular iPhone 17 Pro if you want a similar experience on a slightly smaller form factor. Whereas if you don’t want to spend a whole lot, then the regular iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Plus are great options.
On the other hand, you are absolutely spoiled with choices in the Android arena. Samsung definitely has the largest selection of flagship phones in Nepal, with all of them ranking among the best in the business. You can even go with Samsung’s foldable phones if you want! Similarly, brands like OnePlus, Xiaomi, and lately Vivo have also been offering their latest flagship phones in the country. So when it comes to selecting the right device for you, it’s simply a matter of finding the one that ticks all your boxes.

6. Samsung Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25+

The Samsung Galaxy S25 and S25+ officially launched in Nepal shortly after their international debut, offering premium features without going all in like Samsung’s “Ultra” flagships.
And here, the regular Galaxy S25 stands out as the best compact flagship smartphone available in Nepal. While the S25+ is simply a taller version of the Galaxy S25 with a bigger display and a larger battery.
And as you’d expect from a flagship, both of them are equipped with the top-end Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. 5. iPhone 17

And at number five on our list of best smartphones in Nepal is the new iPhone 17. The good news this time is that Apple has finally blessed its base iPhone with a bunch of important upgrades this year. Including a 120Hz display, twice as much base storage from 128GB to 256GB, and also a capable 48MP dual camera setup.
Here, the iPhone 17’s compact design feels premium, with aluminum frames, glass, and the new Ceramic Shield 2 Glass that resists scratches remarkably well.
Powerful performance with A19 chip
Apple powers the iPhone 17 with the new A19 processor, LPDDR5X RAM, and NVMe storage, which makes sure your time spent on video editing and other performance-demanding tasks remains reliable and smooth. From our own experience, the phone handled games very well, although Apple limits frame rates to control heat.
Its battery comfortably lasts a full day too, while fast 40W wired and 25W MagSafe wireless charging keep the phone ready quickly.
Like I said before, the cameras also see a nice upgrade this year. You now get a 48MP main sensor, a 48MP ultra-wide lens, and an 18MP front camera with a wider field of view. With all this, the iPhone 17 produces detailed, color-accurate shots and works well for selfies, vlogs, and social media content. Low-light performance shows better clarity and reduced noise, and video recording still remains one of the best, just behind the Pro Max, supporting 4K at 60 fps on both front and rear cameras.
iPhone 17 Specifications:
- Design, build: 149.6 x 71.5 x 7.95 mm, 177 gm, IP68 rating
- Display: 6.3-inch OLED screen, FHD+, 120Hz refresh rate, Ceramic Shield 2

- Battery: 3,692 mAh with 40W charging (no power adapter in the box)
- Price in Nepal: NPR 157,299 (256GB)
4. Xiaomi 15 Ultra
The Xiaomi 15 Ultra stands out in 2025 not just for what it offers, but for how much it offers at its price. In a market where rivals like the Galaxy S25 Ultra and iPhone 17 Pro Max easily cost well over NPR 180,000, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra delivers a full-fledged flagship experience for significantly less. With a price tag of NPR 149,999, it undercuts premium competitors while matching—or even exceeding—them in several key areas.
Its Leica-powered quad camera system is a game-changer. The main 50MP 1-inch sensor, combined with two telephoto lenses (3x and 4.3x) and an ultra-wide, produces stunning results in any lighting condition. Detail, dynamic range, and color science are outstanding. This isn’t just “good for the price”—it’s among the best mobile camera systems out there. Period.
A great value flagship
The rest of the phone doesn’t fall short either. Its 6.73-inch LTPO AMOLED display is crisp, color-accurate, and hits 3,200 nits peak brightness. Performance is top-notch thanks to the Snapdragon 8 Elite and Xiaomi’s HyperOS 2. You also get excellent battery life, blazing fast 90W wired and 80W wireless charging, and premium build quality with an IP68 rating and an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner.
Yes, it’s a bit heavy, and the massive rear camera module may not be for everyone. But if you’re looking for the best balance of performance, photography, and value, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra is in a league of its own. It’s a proper flagship that doesn’t demand a flagship-sized wallet.
Xiaomi 15 Ultra Specifications:
- Design, build: 161.3 x 75.3 x 9.4 mm, 226 gm, IP68 rating
- Display: 6.73-inch AMOLED screen, WQHD+, 120Hz refresh rate, Xiaomi Shield Glass 2.0
- Chipset: Snapdragon 8 Elite (3nm mobile platform)
- Memory: 16GB RAM, 512GB/1TB storage (non-expandable)
- Software & UI: HyperOS 2.0 on top of Android 15

- Front Camera: 32MP sensor (hole-punch)
- Security: Fingerprint sensor (ultrasonic in-display)
- Connectivity: Dual-SIM (Nano), WiFi 7 (Dual-band), Bluetooth 6.0, GPS / A-GPS / Beidou / Glonass / Galileo / QZSS / NavIC, USB-C, 4G LTE, 5G
- Battery: 5410mAh with 90W charging (90W power adapter provided)
- Price in Nepal: NPR 149,999 (16/512GB)
3. Vivo X200 Pro
The third place on our list of the best smartphones in Nepal goes to Vivo X200 Pro. And as you can tell, the biggest highlight of this phone is definitely its cameras (particularly its portrait camera). Last year’s Vivo X100 Pro impressed me with portraits, and the Xiaomi 14 Ultra’s 3x floating lens was stunning. But the X200 Pro narrows the gap between Chinese brands and Apple/Samsung even further.

Vivo brought a new 200MP 3.7x periscope zoom lens, a big step up from the typical 5x 48/50MP seen on competitors. The 85mm focal length is ideal for portraits — close enough without stepping back — and the massive resolution means you can zoom up to 135mm (6x) and still get crisp results. It’s flexible, fast (f/2.67), and perfect for street photography. Thanks to Vivo’s ongoing Zeiss partnership, portraits shine with beautiful bokeh and sharp edge detection. The skin tones are brightened a bit — very social-media-ready — and the variety of bokeh flares and B/W modes are a fun touch.
A zoom beast
Interestingly, the sensor used is Samsung’s own ISOCELL HP9, which isn’t even in Samsung’s own phones. Compared to the Galaxy S25 Ultra, I actually prefer the X200 Pro’s portraits for their focus and background separation. You also get portrait video, 10-bit Log, and 4K 120 fps slow-mo, making the X200 Pro one of the most feature-packed camera phones on the market.
The X200 Pro also packs a massive 6,000 mAh silicon-carbon battery. Pair that with a super-efficient LTPO AMOLED display and a super-efficient 3nm chip, you can easily get like 7 hours of screen time even under a heavy usage pattern. This thing has even lasted me more than 10 hours on days when I wasn’t doing much of anything. And with the 90W power brick included inside the box, the X200 Pro goes from 0 – 75% in just 32 minutes. While a complete refill takes only 45 minutes.
Now talking about the performance, the Dimensity 9400 is surely no Snapdragon 8 Elite, but this chipset is more than capable of performing any resource-intensive tasks at ease. As for the software, this guy boots up on Android 15 with Vivo’s new Funtouch OS 15. And I must say this new version of Funtouch OS has much better-looking icons, animations, and transitions, which make things like app-opening and multitasking super fast and intuitive. There are a bunch of AI features baked in as well, while Vivo also commits to 4 major Android upgrades and 5 years of security updates for the X200 Pro.
Vivo X200 Pro Specifications:
- Design, build: 162.36 x 75.95 x 8.2 – 8.49 mm, 223 – 228 gm, IP68/IP69 rating
- Display: 6.78-inch AMOLED screen, 1.5K, 120Hz refresh rate, Armor Glass
- Chipset: MediaTek Dimensity 9400 (3nm mobile platform)
- Memory: 16GB LPDDR5X RAM, 512GB UFS 4.0 storage (non-expandable)
- Software & UI: Funtouch OS 15 on top of Android 15
- Rear Camera: Triple (50MP primary, 200MP 3.7x periscope, 50MP ultrawide)
- Front Camera: 32MP sensor (hole-punch)
- Security: Fingerprint sensor (ultrasonic in-display)
- Connectivity: Dual-SIM (Nano), WiFi 7 (Dual-band), Bluetooth 5.4, GPS / A-GPS / Beidou / Glonass / Galileo / QZSS / NavIC, USB-C, 4G LTE, 5G
- Battery: 6000mAh with 90W charging (90W power adapter provided)
- Price in Nepal: NPR 184,999 (16/512GB)
2. Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra
And that brings me to Samsung’s Galaxy S25 Ultra, which rightfully takes the second spot on our list of the best smartphones in Nepal. While we’re eagerly waiting for the Galaxy S26 Ultra, this one-year-old Samsung flagship is still one of the most formidable options you can buy right now.

The design has seen some changes — the S25 Ultra now features more rounded corners, moving away from the traditional boxy look. But Samsung made a strange move this year: they removed the battery and gyro sensor from the S Pen.
That means no more using the S Pen for remote photo capture or air gestures. On the upside, the phone is noticeably lighter despite its large form factor. One of the biggest upgrades is in the software department. Samsung’s new One UI 7 is a major leap forward, and the promise of 7 years of updates sets a new industry standard — something most Chinese brands can’t match at this point.
Galaxy AI
In terms of AI features too, Samsung remains ahead of the curve. Arguably offering more practical tools than both the iPhone and its Chinese competitors. Battery life is also great here. You can easily expect 8+ hours of screen-on time with typical usage. And although its Snapdragon 8 Gen Elite processor has recently been succeeded by the 8 Elite Gen 5, it’s still one of the most powerful mobile chips out there.
The 6.9-inch Dynamic LTPO AMOLED 2X display is another highlight. It’s incredibly bright, features an anti-reflection coating, which is probably the best we’ve seen on a smartphone. Camera-wise, the S25 Ultra remains a reliable all-rounder. Even though its camera hardware is at least a few generations behind what you get on Chinese flagships.
You can even shoot in log video mode for serious content creation. However, it’s not the absolute best in every category — the Vivo X200 Pro edges it out slightly in photo quality, and the latest iPhone 17 Pro Max still leads in video. Still, as an overall package, the S25 Ultra stands out as one of the most complete flagship phones you can buy in 2025.
Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra Specifications:
- Design, build: 162.8 x 77.6 x 8.2 mm, 218 gm, IP68 rating
- Display: 6.9-inch AMOLED screen, QHD+, 120Hz refresh rate, Corning Gorilla Armor 2
- Chipset: Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy (3nm mobile platform)
- Memory: 12/16GB LPDDR5X RAM, Up to 1TB UFS 4.0 storage (not expandable)
- Software & UI: One UI 7 on top of Android 15
- Rear Camera: Quad (200MP main, 50MP ultrawide, 50MP 5x periscope, 10MP 3x telephoto)
- Front Camera: 12MP sensor (hole-punch)
- Security: Fingerprint sensor (ultrasonic in-display)
- Connectivity: Dual-SIM (Nano), WiFi 7 (tri-band), Bluetooth 5.4, GPS / Glonass / Galileo / BDS / QZSS, USB-C, NFC, 4G LTE, 5G
- Sensors: Accelerometer, Barometer, Geomagnetic, Gyroscope, Hall, Light, Proximity
- Battery: 5000 mAh with 45W charging (no power adapter provided)

1. iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max
There’s always this back-and-forth between Samsung and Apple flagships. Usually, when Apple drops a new flagship, it edges out the current Galaxy for a moment. But give it a few months, and Samsung often pulls ahead in overall rankings. Right now, it’s fair to say the iPhone 17 Pro Max is arguably the best phone you can buy—not just in Nepal, but anywhere in the world. There’s a lot to unpack here, but let’s start with the design.

Apple went with an aluminum unibody design this time, leaving a small glass patch for wireless charging. The edges and curves feel smooth, almost like holding an iPhone 6 in your hand again. But sadly, Titanium is also gone now, which might worry some about scratches, but Apple says aluminum helps with heat dissipation. Personally, I like it—the phone feels solid and premium, and the new Ceramic Shield 2 really holds up.
Display-wise, it’s incremental as it gets. The anti-reflective coating works okay under sunlight, but you’ll notice it looks slightly dimmer than the iPhone 16 Pro Max (review). PWM dimming can now be turned off, which helps if you’re sensitive to flicker, and Apple’s usual color accuracy and touch responsiveness are still top-notch.
A slightly bigger battery
Battery and performance feel solid. The 17 Pro Max lasts about 8–9 hours of screen-on time under heavy use, roughly a day and a half, thanks to a slightly bigger battery and Apple’s optimization. The A19 Pro chip doesn’t massive upgrade over the A18 Pro, but the new vapor chamber cooling makes gaming and heavy workloads noticeably smoother. Less heat, no screen dimming, and the battery feels healthier over time. Charging is faster if you grab the new 40W AVS brick, but older PD chargers work just fine too.
Camera upgrades are mostly incremental as well. The selfie camera is now 18MP with a wider field of view, which is handy if you take a lot of group selfies or vlog. The rear zoom lens has a bigger sensor and shoots 24MP by default at 4x, giving slightly better results than last year’s 5x lens. Main and ultrawide cameras haven’t changed much, though highlights and shadows are handled a bit better, and low-light glare is reduced. Video, as always, remains Apple’s strong point.
