What we know so far…
The available information on the Realme GT Neo 7 was outed by tipsters Digital Chat Station and Smart Pikachu. As per them, the phone will have an OLED panel with 1.5K resolution. Likewise, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Leading Version will act as its brain. This chipset was featured in the Red Magic Gaming Tablet as well. In that device, the CPU was only slightly overclocked while the GPU saw quite a significant upgrade hitting 1GHz frequency.

Other than that, the Realme GT Neo 7 will have a 7,000 mAh battery as per the former source. While the phone has such a large-capacity cell, it is only 8.5mm thick. This is only slightly thicker than the iPhone 16 Pro Max which is 8.25mm thick. In case you are wondering, it is actually slimmer than the iPhone’s arch-rival i.e. Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra (8.6mm). The source also mentions that the battery will last up to two days. Meanwhile, the phone’s 3C revealed that it will support a charging speed of 80W.
The launch date for this phone is currently unknown. However, the company’s Vice President and Global Marketing President — Xu Qi hinted that teasers for it would start dropping from next week. Given that, we can expect the Realme GT Neo 7 to launch within the coming few months too.
Apple launched the iPad Air 5 (2022) in Nepal after a month after its global launch. It’s the most powerful iPad Air ever as it packs an Apple M1 chip at its core. So, let’s get into the specs, features, availability, and official price of the Apple iPad Air 5 (2022) in Nepal.

While rumors stated that the Air 5 will be powered by an A15 Bionic chip, it actually debuted with the M1 processor. However, this isn’t the first time Apple has used M1 on an iPad; it’s also available on the iPad Pro. The M1 is an octa-core SoC that outperforms the A14 in the previous-gen of iPad Air by up to 60%.
Similarly, the graphics are handled by an 8-core GPU that, according to Apple, gives up to 2x faster performance bump than its predecessors. The silicon features a unified 8GB of RAM while the storage option includes 64GB or 256GB.
Connectivity
The tablet will be available on both the 5G and WiFi-only variants. Talking about 5G, it can deliver peak speeds of up to 3.5Gbps under ideal conditions. The tablet also supports Wi-Fi 6 which brings faster throughput speeds and less bandwidth congestion than what you get with Wi-Fi 5. Likewise, the device’s USB-C interface is now up to twice as fast as the previous-gen iPad’s, with data transfer speeds reaching up to 10Gbps.
Moving on, the new iPad Air sports the same design as its predecessor. It comes in five different colors options—Space gray, Starlight, Pink, Purple, and Blue.
On the front, there’s a 10.9-inch Liquid Retina display with 2360 x 1640 pixel resolution and a P3 color gamut. It’s a True Tone display with a fingerprint-resistant oleophobic coating and a peak brightness of 500 nits. Likewise, it supports second-gen Apple pencil and is also compatible with Magic Keyboard.
Camera
At the back, it features the same 12MP wide camera with an f/1.8 aperture as its predecessor. It can shoot 4K video at up to 60fps. For selfies, the iPad Air 2022 includes a 12MP ultra-wide lens in place of the Air 2020’s 7MP front camera. The lens has a 122° field of view and supports Center stage feature.
Center stage helps to keep you and anyone else with you in the camera frame even if you move around. It’s useful for those who spend lots of time in meetings or for students. Anyways, the front camera is also capable of recording 1080p videos up to 30fps.
Now, talking about the battery, it’s fitted with a 28.6Whr cell that provides up to 10 hours of video playback time. It charges with a 20W adapter, which is thankfully included in the box. Before heading directly to the ultimate charging guide, we must learn about our smartphones’ various charging protocols. While the Type-C port or micro USB (on older phones) is the common ground for every smartphone for charging, how it specifies the voltage and the current to be adopted can be different from one brand to another. The recently launched Tecno Pova 6 has 70W fast charging support and I charged it with a 65W GaN PD charger and it was able to draw up to 18W of fast charging. (Detailed results are below).

Cross Compatibility Tests on Different Smartphones with Different Charging Standards
So, I have taken various smartphones to give you a more profound example of understanding the cross-compatibility between various charging protocols. All of these use a different protocol. During the tests, all of the devices’ batteries were under 10%; that’s where a smartphone can leverage the maximum power wattage from a charger. Likewise, I have used the volt meter from Satechi, which shows current and volt. Multipending both gives you the Wattage info.

Findings from the Test:
Realme Narzo 70 Pro which uses 67W SuperVOOC charging was incapable of taking fast charge from all the protocols mentioned above.
Poco X6 Pro with 67W HyperCharge support can take fast charging up to 25W from a Power Delivery charger. Other protocols cannot provide fast charging.
Samsung Galaxy S24 FE supports 25W PD charging, natively. However, the Xiaomi HyperCharge was also able to provide up to 14W of charging speed, while the other protocols couldn’t cater to fast charging.
iQOO Neo 9 Pro relies on 120W FlashCharge support and takes 99W from its own charger while, it also takes 22W from a 65W PD charger and 17W from Xiaomi HyperCharge. As I expected, the other protocols couldn’t provide fast charging.
iPhone 15 takes 25W of PD charging and it is also compatible with HyperCharge (20W), and Power Delivery charger (25W).
Honor 200 has native 100W SuperCharge support and I found it taking 69W from the default charger and 51W of power from a PD charger. Meanwhile, the protocols failed to provide fast charging for this guy.
Likewise, we have 70W fast charging support on the Tecno Pova 6. It took 47W during our test from its original charger while the 65W PD and 80W Vivo FlashCharge charger could cater it 16W and 18W of charging respectively.

Ultimate Charger Buying Guide: Types of Chargers
Wired Chargers in the present day can be classified into two types: GaN chargers and normal chargers. If you’re hearing the word GaN for the very first time, let me break it down for you. Unlike normal chargers which use silicon semiconductors inside, GaN chargers use Gallium Nitride semiconductors which are much better in power conversion efficiency and heat dissipation.
Difference between GaN and a Normal Charger
Size
The visible difference between a Gallium Nitride (GaN) charger and a normal charger is in their sizes. GaN chargers are smaller and lightweight as compared to a normal charger. Take a look at this picture, the white one is a 65W Realme charger while the black and grey is a 65W GaN charger from Ugreen. The latter one is smaller.
It’s completely normal for a charger to heat up during usage. But a GaN charger comes in handy with better heat dissipation. This ensures safety and better power conversion at the same time. On the other hand, a normal charger may stay hot due to inferior heat dissipation as compared.
Ports
Talking of the ports, a normal charger would mostly consist of a single USB-A or USB-C port. but most of the GaN chargers come with multiple ports. So you can charge your phones, laptop, and TWS at the same time without the hassle of needing more adapters.
Charging Protocols
Almost every GaN charger in the market has PD protocol (USB-C to USB-C) on them, which goes well for your PD-supported smartphones like iPhones, Google Pixel, Samsung, laptops, and other devices. Likewise, the GaN charger with USB-C and USB-A ports can also support QuickCharge support with the latter. I mentioned the word “Almost” because, Xiaomi also ships GaN chargers in their Redmi Note and flagship series in China with GaN tech but with a USB-A port and HyperCharge protocol.
Likewise, a normal charger can be based on various protocols as aforementioned, which differ as per the smartphone company or manufacturer. For example, a normal charger from Honor comes with SuperCharge protocol, one from Vivo has FlashCharge, one from OnePlus comes with SuperVOOC, and so on. Just that, they don’t have a Gallium Nitride semiconductor inside.
Safety Measures
In terms of safety measures, a GaN charger from a reputed brand provides multiple layers of protection. Taking an example of the Ugreen 100W Uno GaN charger, you get protection against overcurrent, overvoltage, short circuit, overtemperature, overpower, anti-inter reference, lightning, and flame retardant shell protection.
A normal charger would also have some sort of protection against overcurrent and short circuits if it comes from a reputed brand. But it wouldn’t advanced level of protection as found in a GaN charger.
Pricing
Pricing is the only factor where a normal charger takes a point. Because GaN chargers are expensive compared to. But if you properly dig into the pricing and such, adding more money would seem wise as GaN chargers come with many perks over the traditional ones. But be advised, GaN chargers support PD protocol mainly and QuickCharge with USB-A ports. So, you might not get the best charging speed on your phone (check the cross-compatibility chart mentioned above).
Why do you need the right charger for your smartphone?
Safety:The primary concern is safety. Using a wrong or counterfeit charger can cause your phone to overheat, leading to the potential start of a fire.
Charging Speed:- The right charger will provide an adequate amount of charging speed for your phone. While a wrong charger can cause a lower charging speed.
Battery Health:- A right charger is also healthy for your battery life while a wrong one can do exactly the opposite.
Ultimate Charger Buying Guide: How to pick the right charger for your phone?
First of all, you should know the charging protocol of your smartphone. Whether it is using QuickCharge, PD, HyperCharge, SuperVOOC, FlashCharge, TurboCharge, SuperCharge, or such.
Also, check the power output you need before buying. If your smartphone supports 33W of fast charging, you should purchase a 33W charger. But the main thing is, that it should match the protocol.
Then, you can head to a trusted store to buy an official charger for your phone. Be advised, that the local market is filled with dozens of counterfeit so-called fast chargers. So, I always recommend you to go to an official store/site. Plus never buy an unbranded charger.
In Nepal, only Xiaomi/Redmi, Vivo, Samsung, and Apple’s official chargers are sold. As writing this article, I haven’t found the original chargers for OnePlus, Realme, Motorola, Tecno, Infinix, and Honor phones being sold officially. So chances are, you will find a lot of fake chargers of those companies.
If there are no official chargers to buy, check the most compatible cross-platform protocol. And then, buy that charger.
Also, you always have to buy original cables or at least good-quality cables that meet the adaptor’s requirements.
SuperVOOC protocol in Oppo/OnePlus/Realme smartphones and FlashCharge of Vivo/iQOO phones use a high amp cable such as 6A, 8A, 10A, and low volt adaptor like 5-10V, depending on the charging power. For eg, an 80W SuperVOOC or FllashCharge adaptor will need an 8A cable to charge your supported Oppo/OnePlus/Realme and Vivo/iQOO phones with maximum speed.
If budget is not your concern, you can get a braided USB cable from reputed companies like Ugreen, Xiaomi/Redmi, and Anker.

Design and Audio
Noise spends a lot of time talking about how mini it is, hence the Buds Nero is likely sized a little smaller than an average pair of earbuds. It comes in an in-ear fitting and ships in a multitude of colours including Charcoal Black, Snow White, Midnight Blue, Olive Green, and Deep Wine. These earbuds have an IPX5 rating for water resistance too.
Moving on to the audio side of things, it packs 10mm drivers on each side — which isn’t the largest we see on the market. However, given its smaller stature having a smaller driver makes sense. The Noise Buds Nero is also equipped with a quad-mic setup for ENC and a clear calling experience.
These mini-buds don’t have much going on feature-wise, but there are some. Firstly, they come with Bluetooth v5.3 with Hyper Sync. The latter is an instant pairing feature where it connects to the last paired device as soon as the case lid is popped open. The Noise Buds Nero also comes with a low latency connection that can be as low as 40ms. And that is about it.

Truth be told there aren’t that many options when it comes to affordable 2-in-1 machines in Nepal with most of them soaring beyond that 1 lakh price point. Some Inspiron models from Dell, Lenovo’s own IdeaPad Flexes, and Envys from HP are your best bet. But, an older soul from back in 2022 is now available with extra bits and pieces. So in this short coverage, I’ll briefly touch on the Lenovo Flex 7 (2022), its features and specifications, alongside price in Nepal and availability.
Lenovo Flex 7 (2022) Overview
Design and Display
Let’s take a quick look at the aesthetic appeal of the Flex 7. It’s a 2-in-1 that can be used in a variety of ways including tent, stand, and tablet modes where you fold the screen based on application need. The top of the case is made out of aluminium that gives off a hint of premium feel but the bottom and rest of the chassis is plastic. Regardless, the ‘Stone Blue’ color option looks pretty subtle and the package is pretty portable at just over 1600 grams.
For the display, you are getting a 14” touch screen with 1440p resolution and 300 nits of brightness. The IPS panel is locked at 60Hz but the colors (100% sRGB) and contrast (1500:1) are pretty good for the price.
Performance and Memory
Unfortunately one of the biggest downsides of this machine is the old Alder Lake processor from Intel. The Core i5 1235U powering this unit isn’t the most powerful or the most efficient today but it’s still a good enough chipset for everyday necessities. There are 10 cores in total with 12 threads and a boost clock of up to 4.4 GHz.
The LPDDR4x-4266 memory is soldered to the system board and cannot be expanded after purchase. Another downer is that the laptop is only available in 8GB trim which might not be enough for anyone looking to push their Windows system once in a while. Something like the HP Envy x360 has slower DDR4 RAM but the sticks on that can be upgraded for better multitasking performance.
Battery Life and Ports
Powering the Flex 7 is a 59Wh Lithium Polymer cell that Lenovo says can last up to 11 hours of continuous 1080p video playback at 150nits. The charging takes place via the Thunderbolt 4 Type-C connection with the 65W AC brick shipped inside the box. Other ports on the Flex 7 (2022) include two Type-As, an SD card slot, a HDMI, and an audio jack. There’s also a fingerprint reader for ease of access and security and additional features like a backlit keyboard and WiFi 6E support.
Alongside your purchase, there’s also an additional gift: the Lenovo Digital Pen with 4096 different levels of pressure sensitivity. This can be helpful while navigating the OS in tablet or tent modes or for taking notes and such. There are also two customizable buttons for quick actions and shortcuts.

Acer Nitro V 16 (ANV16-41) Overview
Design and Display
The Acer Nitro V 16 comes in a similar design to its other Nitro V 15 siblings. It features the company logo on the centre of the lid and vents under the hinge. Meanwhile, it also comes with an RGB backlit keyboard with a numpad on the front.

In terms of display, Acer is giving us two options to choose from i.e. WQXGA or WUXGA. Either way, it will be a 16-inch screen with a 165Hz refresh rate measuring a response time of 3ms. Acer has not mentioned the type of panel this laptop will feature. However, from our experience with gaming laptops, we assume it to be an IPS LCD panel.
Performance
Under the hood, Acer Nitro V 16 will boast the latest AMD 8040 series of processors. It is the first adopter of this series of SoC, as it was announced on the same day! This laptop will ship with a CPU of up to AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS. In the meantime, it will be assisted by an NVIDIA GeForce graphics card of up to RTX 4060. Although the TGP is capped at 60W, and the maximum it’ll go is up to 75W, you are not losing a ton of power on the RTX 4050 and RTX 4060 cards (around 10-15% drop from their maximum power).
Furthermore, the Acer Nitro V 16 (ANV16-41) will also feature a DDR5 RAM of up to 32 GB clocking in at 5,600 MHz. Similarly, it will also have up to 2 TB of PCIe 4.0 SSD storage. Moreover, a dual-fan cooling system helps this laptop keep cool while providing optimum performance. It will ship with Windows 11 out of the box on the software front.
How is the AMD 8040 series anyway?
The AMD 8040 series retains identical core counts, clock speeds, cache size, and other key aspects to its predecessor, the 7040 series. The only upgrade the latest AMD CPUs offer is a dedicated Neural Processing Unit (NPU). This unit oversees all aspects of AI, including tasks like AI upscaling during gaming. At the same time, it is likely to contribute to additional AI capabilities such as Acer PurifiedView and Acer PurifiedVoice, smoothening activities like streaming, video chatting, and noise cancellation.
The Acer Nitro V 16 comes with decent options of ports with a full-function USB 4 Type-C, two USB 3 Type-A, an HDMI port, and a headphone jack.
