Apple MacBook Pro (M2) Overview:

All-new M2

This year’s 13-inch MacBook Pro succeeds its predecessor primarily in terms of performance. It is powered by the new M2 chip which is an octa-core processor (with 4-high performance cores and 4-high efficiency cores) built upon the company’s 2nd gen 5nm process. Similarly, the new silicon has 20 billion transistors, which is 25% more than the M1 and a 10-core GPU as opposed to the M1’s 8-core.

This improves M2 above M1 on every front. Per Apple, it boosts the CPU performance by 18% and improves the GPU and Neural Engine by 35% and 40%, respectively. Not to forget, M2 also offers 50% greater memory bandwidth than M1 and up to 24GB of unified memory.

With such sheer power onboard, Apple claims that the M2 outperforms the 10-core Intel Core i7-1255U CPU combined with 16GB of memory by 1.9X. Similarly, its media engine now supports up to 8K H.264, HEVC, ProRes encode/decode, and has ‘increased bandwidth’ to playback multiple 4K and 8K streams more efficiently.

Design and Display

Even though the new MacBook Pro has a powerful chip inside, its design and other hardware features are identical to the previous model. This means you’re still getting a 13.3-inch Retina IPS display with a 2560 x 1600 pixel resolution. As expected, the screen also supports True Tone and the P3 color gamut.

Moreover, the M2-based MacBook Pro also retains the Touch Bar on the top of the keyboard, making it the only Mac in Apple’s current lineup to have this feature.

MediaTek Dimensity 6300 has arrived as latest budget 5G chipset

MediaTek has been pumping out chipsets across its various categories. It recently updated its Helio lineup with the G91. Meanwhile, they launched the Dimensity 7025 processor with the Moto G94 5G smartphone just a few days prior. Similarly, MediaTek has unveiled another one of their chips — the Dimensity 6300, and this article will discuss it in greater detail.

MediaTek Dimensity 6300 Overview

The latest MediaTek processor is the successor to the Dimensity 6100+ that launched mid-last year. We will draw a few comparisons between the two chips when discussing further.

Internals

Just like its predecessor, the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 comes with eight cores and TSMC‘s 6nm fabrication process. Even the core construct remains the same with two Cortex-A76 and six Cortex-A55 cores. Despite having the exact cores, the latest MediaTek processor clocks in at a higher frequency of 2.4GHz.

At the same time, its lower cores remain at the same 2.0 GHz peak frequency. Similarly, the graphics on the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 also remain unchanged with the Arm Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. However, the company claims to offer 50% faster overall GPU performance along with 11% greater power efficiency and 13% higher FPS.

Hardware Support and the rest

Moving on, MediaTek highlights camera support of up to 108MP with the Dimensity 6300 chipset. This shooter is coupled with enhanced noise reduction as well. Alternatively, a phone powered by this processor can have dual 16MP cameras instead. In addition to that, the company boasts the support of an AMOLED screen with a 2,520 x 1,080 pixels resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a colour depth of 10-bit i.e. up to 1 billion colours.

Other than that, the processor packs the 3GPP R16 standard modem that allows for 5G connectivity and peak download speeds of up to 3.3Gbps. It supports memory and storage of up to LPDDR4x-2133 and UFS 2.2 respectively. Moreover, the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 offers six-way navigation with GPS (L1CA+L5), GLONASS (L1OF), Galileo (E1+E5a), BeiDou (B1I+ B2a), QZSS (L1CA+ L5), and NavIC. Lastly, the chip comes with WiFi 5 (a/b/g/n/ac) and Bluetooth v5.2 wireless connectivity.

MediaTek Dimensity 6300 Availability

Considering all the facts about the latest MediaTek offering, it is simply an overclocked variant of the MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ chipset. It might not take long for this processor to make a formal appearance in the market. Given that it is already linked with Realme C65 5G, which has been dubbed the first phone to house the MediaTek Dimensity 6300. Apple announced the 2021 lineup of MacBook Pros in the October “Unleashed” event. The company has launched the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro with the all-new M1 Pro and M1 Max processors—both of which are available in Nepal. In this article, we will go through the specs, features, availability, and updated price of the Apple MacBook Pro 16″ (2021) in Nepal.

Design and Display

This time, the new MacBooks introduce the biggest design overhaul in the lineup’s history. It has a notch on the top for the upgraded 1080p camera that delivers 2x better performance in low-light, while the bezels on the sides and top are reduced to just 3.5mm now.

Hoor unveiled what it says is the slimmest foldable phone to date back in 2023. With a thickness of 9.9mm, the new Magic V2 is more comparable to the regular smartphone than other foldables. And this foldable guy has arrived in Nepal with exciting earlybird offers. So, let’s get into the specs, features, official price, and availability of Honor Magic V2 in Nepal.

Honor Magic V2 Overview:

Design and Display

One of the major criticisms that foldable phones faced was that they were quite bulky when compared to mainstream smartphones. Up until now, even the thinnest foldable measured 11.2mm in thickness and weighed around 260 grams. Compare this to the new Honor Magic V2 which measures 9.9mm when folded and has a total weight of 231 grams, the difference is substantial.

The phone uses the same gearless unibody hinge mechanism that Honor debuted with the Magic Vs but the company has taken it up a notch by incorporating Titanium. Another area where they have reduced weight is the battery. Honor Magic V2 uses a Silicon-Carbon battery with a 5,000mAh capacity. Because of the dual-cell setup, it still charges at 66W at its peak.

Honor offers the Magic V2 in a total of four color options. This includes the Silk Purple, Gold, Silk Black, and Ultimate Black. The Ultimate Black version features a PU leather back while the rest sport a glass back design.

The cover screen sports a 7.92” diagonal length with a 2376 x 1060 pixels resolution. Opening it, you are greeted with a larger 6.43-inch screen with a 2344 x 2156 pixel resolution. Both are 10-bit OLED panels with 120Hz LTPO refresh rate and DCI-P3 color gamut. Honor has included 3940Hz PWM Dimming on both screens.

Performance and Memory

Under the hood, Magic V2 comes with the “latest version” of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. Honor is definitely referring to the advanced version of the flagship chip with the Cortex-X3 “Prime” cores overclocked to 3.36GHz. We have seen a similar setup on the Galaxy S23 series and Red Magic 8S Pro as Snapdragon for Galaxy and Snapdragon 8+ Gen 2. However, without additional information, it’s unsure if these three are all the same.

That aside, Honor Magic V2 comes with 16GB RAM which you can pair with 256GB and 512GB storage. The Magic V2 Ultimate version with vegan leather is available in a single 16GB+1TB memory variation.

But, we hadn’t seen Lenovo’s V series Business laptops make a strong presence before. In this article, let’s take a look at the Lenovo V15 Gen 4 business laptop price in Nepal, alongside the available configurations and specifications.

Lenovo V series laptops are ‘simple, powerful, and secure’ business devices. They prioritize portability, and reliability alongside a key focus on security, and productivity. Transsion Holding subsidiary — Infinix, launched three new offerings under the Hot 40 series of smartphones. The base variant of the series goes by the name — Infinix Hot 40i and comes with a 90Hz screen and a “Magic Ring” feature. And it is official in Nepal as well. Design and Display

All the Infinix Hot 40 series phones follow a similar flat design pattern with a camera island with three camera cutouts on the back. The Infinix Hot 40i is also available in four color options: Horizon Gold, Starlit Black, Palm Blue, and Starfall Green. In the meantime, it measures 8.30 mm and weighs 190 grams.
