Best Flagship Smartphones To Buy In Nepal [Updated]

In this article, we’ve listed the absolute best smartphones you could buy in Nepal right now. There are official distributors of basically every major smartphone brand in Nepal, and a few of them bring their flagship devices as well. From Samsung’s Galaxy S series to the latest iPhones, there are a lot of premium phones you can buy in the country. So, without further ado, let’s take a look at the best smartphones available in Nepal.

How to find the best flagship smartphones in Nepal?

When searching for the best smartphones to buy in Nepal, you’ll need a decent bit of research to help filter out the options. Considering the number of options available, it can be a bit overwhelming, but that’s exactly where we come in. We’ve tried our best to summarize the pros and cons of each device in this list of best smartphones in Nepal but make sure to check our full review for more details.

Anyway, if you’re team Apple all the way, then your buying decision gets a bit easier. Say you want the biggest, boldest, most expensive iPhone, then the iPhone 15 Pro Max is where it’s at. Or the regular iPhone 15 Pro if you want a similar experience on a slightly smaller form factor. Whereas if you don’t want to spend a whole lot, then the regular iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus are great options.

On the other hand, you are absolutely spoiled with choices in the Android arena. Samsung definitely has the largest selection of flagship phones in Nepal, with all of them ranking among the best in the business. You can even go with Samsung’s foldable phones if you want! Similarly, brands like OnePlus, Xiaomi, and lately Honor have also been offering their latest flagship phones in the country. So when it comes to selecting the right device for you, it’s simply a matter of finding the one that ticks all your boxes.

Best smartphones to buy in Nepal:

5. Samsung Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25+

Galaxy S25

The Samsung Galaxy S25 and S25+ have officially launched in Nepal, offering premium features at a slightly higher price point compared to international markets. The Galaxy S25 is priced at NPR 104,999 for the 12/128GB variant and NPR 114,999 for the 12/256GB variant, while the Galaxy S25+ is available at NPR 141,999 for the 12/256GB model.

Despite the higher cost, these devices stand out as the best compact flagship smartphones available in Nepal. Both models are equipped with the top-end Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, ensuring top-tier performance. The S25 features a 6.2-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display, while the S25+ boasts a larger 6.7-inch version, both with a 120Hz refresh rate and 2,600 nits peak brightness. The camera setups include a 50MP primary sensor, 10MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, and a 12MP ultrawide lens, delivering exceptional photography capabilities.

In addition to their impressive hardware, the Galaxy S25 series supports seven years of software updates, ensuring longevity and up-to-date features. With AI-enhanced functionalities powered by One UI 7 and the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, these smartphones offer a seamless and intelligent user experience. For those seeking a compact yet powerful flagship device, the Galaxy S25 and S25+ are unparalleled choices in the Nepali market.

Samsung Galaxy S25 / S25+ Specifications

4. Xiaomi 15 Ultra

Xiaomi 15 ultraThe Xiaomi 15 Ultra stands out in 2025 not just for what it offers, but for how much it offers at its price. In a market where rivals like the Galaxy S25 Ultra and iPhone 16 Pro Max easily cost well over NPR 180,000, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra delivers a full-fledged flagship experience for significantly less. With a price around NPR 142,000, it undercuts premium competitors while matching—or even exceeding—them in several key areas.

Its Leica-powered quad 50MP camera system is a game-changer. The main 1-inch sensor, combined with two telephoto lenses (3.2x and 5x) and an ultra-wide, produces stunning results in any lighting condition. Detail, dynamic range, and color science are outstanding. This isn’t just “good for the price”—it’s among the best mobile camera systems out there, period.

The rest of the phone doesn’t fall short either. Its 6.73-inch LTPO AMOLED display is crisp, color-accurate, and hits 3200 nits peak brightness. Performance is top-notch thanks to the Snapdragon 8 Elite and Xiaomi’s smooth HyperOS. You also get excellent battery life, blazing fast 90W wired and 80W wireless charging, and premium build quality with IP68 rating and an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner.

Yes, it’s a bit heavy and the massive rear camera module may not be for everyone. But if you’re looking for the best balance of performance, photography, and value, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra is in a league of its own. It’s a proper flagship that doesn’t demand a flagship-sized wallet.

Xiaomi 15 Ultra Specifications

  • Dimension : 161.3 x 75.3 x 9.4 mm
  • Weight: 226 g
  • Display: 6.73-inch WQHD+ AMOLED, 120Hz refresh rate

3. iPhone 16 Pro Max

iPhone 16 Pro Max

Third place for our smartphones is probably the most popular and in-demand smartphone—iPhone 16 Pro Max. But while the hype is massive, the reality is a bit more mixed. The much-talked-about camera button is honestly my biggest disappointment this year. It sounds smart—press lightly to adjust tone or zoom—but in actual use, it’s awkwardly placed, uncomfortable, and ends up shaking the camera more often than helping. Especially for someone with small hands, it’s a struggle. I even had to remap it to a double-press just to stop launching the camera by accident. Maybe once Apple Intelligence fully rolls out, it’ll be more useful—but most of those features aren’t even available yet in our region.

That aside, it’s still very much a premium iPhone. The design is refined but safe, with only the new Desert Titanium color standing out. The 6.9-inch display is one of the best I’ve used—ultra-bright, responsive, and with rich Dolby Vision support. Thinner bezels, improved touch latency, and sharp detail make it ideal for media consumption. It’s brighter than the S24 Ultra and gets dim enough at night, though the 480Hz PWM might bother flicker-sensitive users.

Despite the larger battery and size, the phone feels light and well-balanced. Battery life is excellent—8 to 11 hours of screen time easily. It’s the best battery life I’ve ever seen on an iPhone. Charging is still slow at 29W, but at least MagSafe now supports 25W. Performance-wise, the A18 Pro isn’t a huge leap in daily use, but it runs cooler and sustains performance better than before. Gaming is super smooth with zero frame drops or overheating—this is arguably the best gaming phone right now.

Still the best at videos

The cameras, though, are pretty incremental. There’s a new 48MP ultrawide and slightly better macro, but the core photo and video experience feels very familiar. 4K 120fps slo-mo is a nice touch, and Apple’s processing still delivers natural, detailed shots, but don’t expect anything revolutionary. Portraits are good, but not class-leading, especially with competition from Vivo and Xiaomi. However, the videos are still leagues above everyone else.

iPhone 16 Pro Max Specifications:

  • Colors: Black Titanium, White Titanium, Natural Titanium, Desert Titanium
  • Dimensions: 8.25mm thickness
  • Weight: 225 grams
  • Display: 6.9-inch LTPO Super Retina XDR OLED, 120Hz ProMotion, 1328 x 2878 pixels,
  • Chipset: Apple A18 Pro
  • Storage: 256GB (base), up to 1TB
  • Main Camera: 48MP Sony sensor with stacked design and Digital Gain Control
  • Telephoto Zoom Lens: 12MP 5x optical zoom,
  • Ultrawide Camera: 48MP, improved low-light performance
  • Battery: 4676mAh, MagSafe wireless charging up to 25W with 30W adapter or higher
  • Connectivity: 5G, WiFi 7, USB Type-C, NFC, GPS, satellite connectivity

2. Vivo X200 Pro

Vivo X200 Pro

Sorry iPhone users, but the second place for the best smartphone of the year goes to Vivo X200 Ultra. The real highlight of the Vivo X200 Pro is its camera (particularly its portrait camera). Last year’s X100 Pro impressed me with portraits, and the Xiaomi 14 Ultra’s 3x floating lens was stunning. But the X200 Pro narrows the gap between Chinese brands and Apple/Samsung even further.

This year, Vivo brings a new 200MP 3.7x periscope zoom lens, a big step up from the typical 5x 48/50MP seen on competitors. The 85mm focal length is ideal for portraits — close enough without stepping back — and the massive resolution means you can zoom up to 135mm (6x) and still get crisp results. It’s flexible, fast (f/2.67), and perfect for street photography. Thanks to Vivo’s ongoing Zeiss partnership, portraits shine with beautiful bokeh and sharp edge detection. The skin tones are brightened a bit — very social-media-ready — and the variety of bokeh flares and B/W modes are a fun touch.

Interestingly, the sensor used is Samsung’s own ISOCELL HP9, which isn’t even in Samsung’s own phones. Compared to the Galaxy S25 Ultra, I actually prefer the X200 Pro’s portraits for their focus and background separation. You also get portrait video, 10-bit Log, and 4K 120fps slow-mo, making the X200 Pro one of the most feature-packed camera phones on the market.

Vivo’s latest flagship phone packs a massive 6,000 mAh silicon-carbon battery. Pair that with a super-efficient LTPO AMOLED display and a super-efficient 3nm chip, you can easily get like 7 hours of screen time even under a heavy usage pattern. This thing has even lasted me more than 10 hours on days when I wasn’t doing much of anything. And with the 90W power brick included inside the box, the X200 Pro goes from 0 – 75% in just 32 minutes. While a complete refill takes only 45 minutes.

Now talking about the performance, the Dimensity 9400 is surely no Snapdragon 8 Elite, but this chipset is more than capable of performing any resource-intensive tasks at ease. As for the software, this guy boots up on Android 15 with Vivo’s new Funtouch OS 15. And I must say this new version of Funtouch OS has much better-looking icons, animations, and transitions which makes things like app-opening and multitasking super fast and intuitive. There are a bunch of AI features baked in as well, while Vivo also commits to 4 major Android upgrades and 5 years of security updates for the X200 Pro.

Vivo X200 Pro: Specifications

  • Design and Build: 162.36 x 75.95 x 8.20 – 8.49 mm, 223 – 228 gm, IP68 + IP69 rating
  • Display: 6.78-inch AMOLED panel, 1.5K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate
  • Chipset: MediaTek Dimensity 9400 5G (3nm mobile platform)
  • Memory: 16GB LPDDR5X RAM, 512GB UFS 4.0 storage (non-expandable)
  • Software & UI: Android 15 with Vivo Funtouch OS 15.0 on top
  • Rear cameras: Triple (50MP primary, 50MP ultrawide, 200MP periscope)
  • Front camera: 32MP sensor (hole-punch)
  • Security: Fingerprint sensor (ultrasonic in-display)
  • Connectivity: Dual-SIM (Nano), WiFi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, USB-C, NFC, 5G
  • Sensors: Accelerometer, Ambient light, Color temperature, E-compass, Flicker, Gyroscope, Infrared, Laser focusing, Multispectral, Proximity
  • Battery: 6,000 mAh with 90W fast charging (90W power adapter inside the box)
  • Price in Nepal: NPR 184,999 174,999 (16/512GB)

1. Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra

Just like in 2024, Samsung has once again taken the top spot in 2025. With the launch of the Galaxy S25 Ultra, it’s hard to deny that this is the best smartphone your money can buy right now.

Galaxy S25 Ultra

The design has seen some changes — the S25 Ultra now features more rounded corners, moving away from the traditional boxy look. But Samsung made a strange move this year: they removed the battery and gyro sensor from the S Pen. That means no more using the S Pen for remote photo capture or air gestures. On the upside, the phone is noticeably lighter despite its large form factor. One of the biggest upgrades is in the software department. Samsung’s new One UI 7 is a major leap forward, and the promise of 7 years of updates sets a new industry standard — something most Chinese brands can’t match at this point. In terms of AI features too, Samsung remains ahead of the curve, arguably offering more practical tools than both the iPhone and its Chinese competitors. Battery life is also excellent. You can easily expect 8+ hours of screen-on time with typical usage. Powering the phone is the Snapdragon 8 Gen Elite chip — possibly the best you can get right now — delivering top-tier performance with minimal heating.

The 6.9-inch Dynamic LTPO AMOLED 2X display is another highlight. It’s incredibly bright, features DX anti-reflection coating, and is protected by Gorilla Glass Armor 2. Camera-wise, the S25 Ultra remains a reliable all-rounder. You can even shoot in log video mode for serious content creation. However, it’s not the absolute best in every category — the Vivo X200 Pro edges it out slightly in photo quality, while the iPhone 16 Pro Max still leads in video. Still, as an overall package, the S25 Ultra stands out as the most complete flagship phone you can buy in 2025.

45W Wired or Wireless Charging? Choose your Samsung Power Bank!

Samsung just launched two new power banks, available in 10,000 mAh and double that capacity. However, there is more to these battery packs than just their capacity. Let’s discuss these Samsung Power Banks further in this article including their price in Nepal.

    Samsung Power Bank Overview

    Design

The South Korean company has taken a unique approach to the design of its power banks. They do come in a cuboid shape, however, their edges are not uniform. While all the edges have a curved finish to it, the top edges have a flat end to it. This subtle tweak aesthetically sets the Samsung Power Bank apart from other power banks.

    Samsung Power Bank Design

In the meantime, the company has used UL-certified recycled materials for the battery pack which helps reduce carbon emissions. Likewise, the Samsung Power Bank ships in a single beige colour option and has little black dots scattered all across the case. Additionally, the 20,000 mAh option has “20” engraved, while the 10,000 mAh one has a carving that reads “10” and a circular bump in the middle.

    Features

The 20,000 mAh Samsung Power Bank can charge three devices simultaneously via its USB Type-C ports. The highlighting feature on this power bank is Super Fast Charging 2.0 support. This is to say, this battery pack comes with Samsung’s proprietary 45W charging technology. However, the charging speed only hits 45W when only a single device is plugged in. Other than that, it also supports the PD 3.0 charging protocol.

Similarly, the 10,000 mAh Samsung Power Bank also charges three devices at once, however, it only has two USB Type-C ports. Hence, for the third device, it offers wireless charging instead! The circular bump in the middle of this power bank that I mentioned earlier is a wireless charging unit. Meanwhile, the solitary charging speed on this power bank is 25W, but when using all three interfaces the output is capped at 7.5W each.

Samsung Power Bank Price in Nepal and Availability

Both the Samsung Power Bank hit the Indian market on Labour Day and are available to purchase through all the official mediums. The 10,000 mAh wireless option goes for INR 3,499 while the 20,000 mAh one is priced at INR 4,299. If these battery packs ever make their way here, we expect the Samsung Power Bank price in Nepal to be NPR 5,799 and 6,999 respectively.

Honor Magic V2 review: It’s thinner, but is it any better?

I’ve been using the iPhone 15 Pro Max for more than six to seven months now and I am been really satisfied with it. But for almost 2 weeks now, I have switched to the Honor Magic V2, which is Honor’s latest foldable phone. To tell you the truth, I’m not really into using foldable phones much and have never been a fan, because of three main reasons – first, they are too bulky, second – the battery life of foldable in general is not that great, and the third reason is that the cameras aren’t as good as flagship phones.

But there’s something in this phone that has caught my attention. In this review of the Honor Magic V2, I will be sharing all of my experience with this foldable phone. But before getting any further let’s have a quick rundown of its specifications.

      Honor Magic V2 Specifications

      Honor Magic V2 Review

      Design

      • Dimensions:
        • Unfolded: 156.7 x 145.4 x 4.7 mm or 4.8 mm
        • Folded: 156.7 x 74.1 x 9.9 mm or 10.1 mm
      • Weight: 231gm
      • Build:
        • Glass front
        • Glass back or eco-leather back
        • magnesium alloy frame, titanium alloy folding mechanism

To get started,  the Honor Magic V2 has completely changed my perspective on foldable! Firstly, you don’t even notice its thickness. It’s so thin that it looks like a normal phone. When I compare it to my iPhone 15 Pro Max or the S24 ultra, it doesn’t feel bulky at all. In fact, the thickness is almost the same!

And even when you use its folded display, it operates just like using a normal phone.  You can easily operate it with one hand, without any stress, which is a big plus for a foldable.

      Display

      • Display:
        • Outer: 6.43-inch OLED, 120Hz LTPO refresh rate, 2376 x 1060 pixels
        • Inner: 7.92-inch Flexible OLED, 120Hz LTPO refresh rate, 2344 x 2156 pixels,
      • Display Properties: 10-bit color depth, DCI-P3, 3940Hz PWM Dimming

As you can see, there’s hardly any gap in the hinge, and once you open it, you get this large 8-inch main display, which also boasts a 120Hz LTPO panel similar to the cover display. It supports Dolby Vision HDR and is very bright as well. Moreover, It features a 6.43-inch w LTPO panel when folded with excellent brightness, viewing angles, and minimal bezels.

If I were to nitpick, the crease is slightly visible, especially when scrolling in the crease area. My second complaint is that, unlike Samsung’s Fold series, it lacks IPX8 water resistance. However, apart from that, the thin and lightweight design engineering of this device is commendable.

Plus, Its hinge is incredibly strong, allowing you to keep it at various angles. Also, it’s satisfying to fold and unfold with a reassuring snap sound. Moreover, I found this blue color variant really classy. The camera module on the back looks clean, it doesn’t appear bulky at all! If you’re a business user, you’ll appreciate its elegance.

      Battery

      • Battery: 5000mAh Silicone Carbon battery (dual-cell)
      • Charging: 66W wired (11V/6A)

Actually, the main reason this phone is so thin is because it uses a Silicon Carbon battery instead of a traditional Lithium-ion battery. The energy density of Silicon Carbon batteries is much higher, allowing Honor to include a large 5000mAh battery in a small surface area. This makes it the thinnest foldable available in the market today.

As for battery life, it’s really impressive. I managed to get around 7 hours of screen-on time, which is only slightly less than what I get with my iPhone 15 Pro Max. Additionally, the 66W charger that comes in the box charges the phone quickly, typically within 45 minutes. So, in terms of battery performance, I’m pleasantly surprised.

      Performance and UI

      • Memory: 16GB RAM with 256/512GB/1TB storage
      • Chipset: Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 5G (4nm mobile platform)
      • CPU: Octa-core (1×3.19 GHz (INTL) / 1×3.36 GHz (CN) Cortex-X3 & 2×2.8 GHz Cortex-A715 & 2×2.8 GHz Cortex-A710 & 3×2.0 GHz Cortex-A510)
      • GPU: Adreno 740

When it comes to the core specs of the phone, it features a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. Now, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset is from last year, so it’s not the fastest available. However, everything still runs super smoothly here.

Honor’s UI is extremely fluid and surprisingly optimized for foldables. Transitioning to it is seamless and there aren’t any noticeable performance issues.

I really enjoy using the large main screen to run multiple windows side by side and eve have an additional app in a floating window. It’s incredibly convenient and makes multitasking effortless.

Moreover, Honor includes a back cover in the box that doubles as a stand, allowing you to prop it up on a table and use it comfortably. Whether it’s watching movies on the large screen or playing games like Clash Royale, there are so many benefits to having a foldable device like this.

      UI/OS

      • Software: Android 13-based Magic UI 7

One thing Honor seriously needs to improve is its software updates! Not just this phone, but almost all Honor phones are still running on Android 13. However, the upcoming Honor Magic 6 Pro is poised to debut with Android 14 onboard, indicating an imminent release of the latest Android version. Honor has revealed that the smartphone is scheduled to launch in June.

Another thing I’ve noticed is that this phone tends to heat up slightly, especially during gaming sessions or when using mobile data extensively.

      Camera

      • Main Camera: Triple:
        • Primary: 50MP f/1.9 sensor, OIS
        • Ultrawide: 50MP f/2.0 lens
        • Telephoto: 20MP f/2.4, OIS
      • Selfie Camera (Outer/Inner): 16MP with f/2.2 aperture

Anyway, another aspect of the Honor V2 that I really enjoyed is its camera! It takes excellent photos from the main camera. The details are crisp, and the colors are vibrant. Even the ultra-wide camera performs well. While it may not be at flagship level, it’s close enough.

And when it comes to taking portraits and selfies with the 2.5X zoom, this phone does a great job of capturing accurate skin tones. In good lighting conditions, you’ll get awesome photos.

However, one area where it falls a bit short is in video quality. While it’s better than midrange phones, it doesn’t quite match up to flagship phones. Especially in terms of stabilization and HDR, there’s some room for improvement in the videos taken with the Honor Magic V2.

      Honor Magic V2 Review: Conclusion

So, if we overlook the minor issues, this is easily the best foldable available in Nepal right now. However, I also like the OnePlus Open. I think the software experience of OnePlus, especially the “OnePlus Canvas” multitasking feature, is the best thing on a foldable. But after using the Honor, the OnePlus Open feels quite bulky.

So, if you’re considering switching from a regular phone to a foldable one, I think the Honor Magic V2 is going to be easy to adapt to. However, it’s not wallet-friendly, as it’s quite expensive at Rs. 2.40 lakhs! But, there’s a unique charm to foldable that makes them worth the investment.

Honor Magic V2 Review: Pros and Cons

      Pros

      • Thin, lightweight design with a strong hinge
      • Great display with minimal bezels
      • Impressive portraits and an exceptional ultrawide camera
      • Impressive battery life with fast charging

      Cons

      • Lack of IPX8 water resistance
      • Runs on Android 13
      • Slight heating issues during intense usage
      • Not-so-great videography

inDrive is now officially registered as a company in Nepal

      0

inDrive, the popular ride-hailing service has now officially arrived in Nepal. Although its service has been live for a few years in the Kathmandu valley, the Russian company has now formalized its services by officially registering as a company in Nepal. In this article, let’s get into the info and news surrounding inDrive’s official availability in Nepal.

      inDrive Launch in Nepal Overview

inDrive’s official launch event happened today at Mariott Hotel, Nagpokhari Kathmandu with the presence of inDrive officials, IME Pay officials, and media persons. The brief program included some key points which we are gonna discuss below.

inDrive official launch event in Nepal
      inDrive’s official launch event

      10% service charge from drivers

inDrive inherently rose to fame due to the 0% commission policy for drivers and fare bargaining features for passengers. The latter one is thankfully staying while the former is getting some changes. Now, the company will charge 10% of the service charge (commission) from the drivers for each ride made.

      inDrive Nepal

For example, a ride costing 200 rupees will incur a 20 rupees service charge to inDrive, from the driver’s side. inDrive also mentioned, that the 10% charge is inclusive of all the taxes and drivers do not have to pay extra.

      Insurance is coming soon

One of the major concerning factors while using inDrive is the lack of insurance policies for both drivers and passengers. Multiple fatal incidents have happened in recent times with casualties, having to bear the loss of lives and expensive medical treatments. Finally, this ride-hailing app will bring an insurance facility. As per the officials, paperwork is going in the background and it will go live very soon.

      Expansion to other areas

inDrive will not be limited to Kathmandu Valley only. It will expand to Pokhara and Bharatpur in the near future with more areas in the plan. There is no official roadmap as to when it will be available in the aforementioned areas though.

      Cargo services too?

As we all know, inDrive also does courier services around the valley. Well, the company is now also seeking to introduce cargo services to deliver goods from in and out of the country. The date of commencement of cargo services is still under the curtain. And time will unfold it in the coming days.

IME Pay as the official payment partner

This rapidly growing ride-hailing service has now partnered up with one of the leading digital wallets in the country, IME Pay. If you peek through the homepage of the IME Pay app, you should notice the inDrive payments option. It’s already been here for a few days as long as I have noticed. But turns out, that this feature is now only available for drivers in order to settle their accounts.

      inDrive IME Pay Partnership
inDrive Payment Option on IME Pay

An integrated feature for passengers is still yet to arrive. After all, you can easily use any wallet to pay the drivers as most of them accept digital payments anyway. But as far as I hope, inDrive and IME Pay collab might bring some exclusive offers, cashback, and points in the future.

      About inDrive

inDrive, previously known as inDriver was originally founded by a group of Russian students back in 2012, in one of the coldest places on earth, Yakutsk. Available in over 700 cities in 47 countries, inDrive is one of the fastest-growing ride-sharing platforms.

It marked its presence in Nepal in mid-2022. With fare bargaining features of passengers, inDrive got an escalated number of users in a short time. Also, drivers had to pay no commission at all, this ride-hailing app stood as a strong competitor against Pathao, which takes 20% commission from each ride made.

With the official registration in Nepal, inDrive seeks to bring more features in the future by abiding by the laws of Nepal.
