Vivo launched the Y20s smartphone in Nepal back in Jan 2021. However, it has seen a price cut of Rs. 2000 in Nepal. In this post, we will be taking a look at the specs, features, official price, and availability of Vivo Y20s in Nepal.

Vivo Y20s Overview:

Here, Vivo Y20s is basically a replica of the Y20. The only thing that is different here is the memory configuration. The device is now available in the 4/128GB variant while the Y20 maxed out at 4/64GB. The phone is powered by the Snapdragon 460 that was announced last year. The chipset can get you through normal tasks but is nowhere near the Helio G80/G85 that one can get in this price range.

Vivo Y20s sports a 6.51-inch HD+ screen with a 20:9 aspect ratio. It has a waterdrop notch on the top that houses the front camera. Vivo has included an Eye Protection Mode in the phone which protects the user’s eyes from harmful blue rays. Y20s is available in two color options – Obsidian Black and Purist Blue.

At the back, the device flaunts a triple camera setup. The primary camera here uses a 13MP sensor. It is accompanied by a 2MP depth sensor and a 2MP macro camera. On the front, there is an 8MP camera for taking selfies.

The phone is fueled by a 5,000mAh battery. It is complemented by the inclusion of 18W FlashCharge support. The phone has a micro USB port for charging and data transfer purposes. In terms of connectivity, the phone supports dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.0. There is a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for biometrics.

Samsung Galaxy A14 4G launched in Nepal with 50MP triple cameras

Galaxy A14 5G was Samsung’s first smartphone launch of 2023, which is available here in Nepal too. The company has now launched the 4G variant of the phone as well. So, let’s get into the full specifications, official price in Nepal, and availability of the new Samsung Galaxy A14 4G.

Samsung Galaxy A14 4G Overview:

Design, Display

The Galaxy A14 4G does not come up with a new design. That is, it retains the same flat-edge design and has three camera rings protruding from the back panel as its 5G counterpart. Galaxy A14 4G is also available in the same four color options: Black, Green, Dark Red, and Silver.

Up front, Samsung has also used the same Infinity-V notch on a 6.6-inch PLS LCD screen with FHD+ resolution. But this 4G model has just a 60Hz refresh rate compared to 90Hz on the Galaxy A14 5G.

Performance

Besides the screen refresh rate, the Galaxy A14 4G and the 5G differ in terms of chipset too. Here, we get an octa-core MediaTek Helio G80 chip instead of Exynos 1330 5G. Based on 12nm, this processor has two Cortex-A75 and six Cortex-A55 CPU cores. So while it can handle your simple day-to-day tasks pretty easily, it’s not powerful enough for gaming and stuff.

The memory option for the Galaxy A14 4G includes 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. You can further expand the internal storage using a microSD card. The phone ships with Android 13-based One UI 5 out-of-the-box.

Camera

Samsung has also made a minor change to the camera department. While the primary and macro sensors remain unchanged at 50MP and 2MP, respectively, the brand has replaced A14 5G’s 2MP depth sensor with a 5MP ultrawide camera instead. A 13MP lens is housed within the aforementioned notch for selfies.

Others

Moving on, this smartphone is backed by a big 5000mAh battery, but with just 10W charging support. For biometrics, there is a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. Galaxy A14 4G also has a 3.5mm headphone jack, whereas the phone weighs 201 grams.

Samsung introduced the A14 5G as its first major smartphone of the year — less than a week after New Year’s Day. It replaces last year’s A13 5G as the company’s affordable 5G phone and is now available in Nepal. So, let’s look at the specs, features, official price, and availability of the Samsung Galaxy A14 5G in Nepal.

Design and Overview:

Not a lot has changed in the design aspect — Samsung Galaxy A14 5G has a notched display like its predecessor. Even on the back, the three cameras stick directly out of the rear panel without a dedicated module. That said, the corners of the main body have a larger curvature — giving the impression of a smaller phone.

The phone is built around a 6.6-inch IPS screen. Samsung has bumped the resolution from HD+ to FHD+ while retaining the 90Hz refresh rate.

Camera

MSI is a doyen when it comes to gaming laptops and peripherals. The Taiwan-based multinational company has now launched the MSI G253PF gaming monitor with a 380Hz refresh rate. Let’s get into the specs, features, and expected price of the MSI G253PF gaming monitor in Nepal without further ado.

To begin with, MSI G253PF sports a 24.5-inch screen with a 1080p resolution. The monitor uses a Rapid IPS panel which ensures a 4 times faster response time than a regular IPS panel, as per MSI. The anti-glare display is also VESA DisplayHDR 400 certified, ensuring that the display has a peak brightness of 400 nits.

Announced first at CES 2022, Google has now launched its popular file-sharing service, Nearby Share for Windows. Its currently in beta stage and is available for download for PCs running Windows 10 and above. More about Nearby Share for Windows is in this article.

For starters, Google introduced Nearby Share for Android in 2020 as a quick and easy way to share files between Android devices. It quickly gained popularity as there was no hassle to install third-party apps to share files, to and from one’s device. Now the service is officially available in Windows, though currently in beta stage.

To use it, users must enable Bluetooh and WiFi on both the PC and phone. And its UI and features are nearly identical to those of the phone’s Nearby Share. Like in Android phone, you can manage your device visibility to everyone, to your contacts, to your own devices only, or to nobody at the moment.

Until and unless you choose the last option, you have two options to share a file. Either you can drag and drop the file to the Nearby Share app. Or you can right-click on the file and select the Nearby Share option.

Transfers are automatically accepted if your PC and phone are logged into the same Google account, even if the recipient’s screen is turned off. For Nearby Share to work, both devices must be within 16 feet of each other.

Not long after, the entry of a Pro variant, HMD Global is adding a Plus version of the already existing Nokia C12 smartphone. The Nokia C12 Plus is launching soon in India and boasts identical specs to the vanilla model except for minor changes. In this article, we’ll walk through the specs, features, and expected price of the Nokia C12 Plus in Nepal.

The C12 Plus sports the same design as the C12 & Pro with a plastic frame, plastic back, and a glass front. The Plus moniker doesn’t bring any changes here. Even the color options are the same: Charcoal, Dark Cyan, and Light Mint.

Meizu 20 series goes official with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, Flyme OS

Meizu is back on the smartphone scene with the new Meizu 20 series, the company’s flagship model for 2023. The series comprises three models: Meizu 20, Meizu 20 Pro, and Meizu 20 Infinity. So let’s get into the specs, features, and expected price of the Meizu 20 Series in Nepal here.

Meizu 20 Series Overview:

It’s been quite a while since Meizu launched a flagship smartphone. The company’s last entry in this space was Meizu 18s Pro which debuted with Snapdragon 888+ SoC in Sept 2021. Now, after more than a year of break, the company has launched the Meizu 20 series.

Snapdragon 8 Gen 2

It’s a lineup of flagship phones, thus bringing Qualcomm’s powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip inside. The chip is coupled with up to 12GB RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.0 internal storage for the vanilla and Pro variants. While the Infinity model gets up to 16GB RAM and 1TB of internal storage.

Meizu has also used vapor chamber cooling on all three devices for heat dissipation. As for the software, the phones boot on Meizu’s Flyme 10 OS which brings a new interface design, called “Alive Design.”

Design

Moving on, the entire lineup boasts a flat-frame metallic housing design for sturdiness. The rear panel has a vertically aligned camera layout, similar to the ones on Galaxy S23. On the front side, there is a hole punch panel on the Meizu 20 series but the Infinity model as the name implies, bears slimmer 2.48mm borders on all four sides.

Likewise, the Pro and vanilla sibling house a ring light LED flash. And the color options for the vanilla Meizu 20 are Dingshengqing, Pioneer Grey, Joyful Yellow, and Love Powder. On the other hand, the Pro sibling gets the Dawn Grey, Dawn Silver, and Sunrise Gold shades while the Infinity variant goes with Dawn Grey, Dawn Green, and Dawn Silver colors.

Display

As previously confirmed, the Meizu 20 series sport a 10-bit Samsung E6 AMOLED panel. The vanilla Meizu 20 model has a Full HD+ 6.55-inch screen as compared to 2K resolution 6.79 and 6.81-inch panels on the Meizu 20 Infinity and Meizu 20 Pro respectively. Interestingly the Meizu 20 supports a 144Hz refresh rate while the Inifinity and Pro siblings settle with a 120Hz refresh rate instead.

Meanwhile, only the Infinity and Pro feature the LTPO technology, making the refresh rate variable from 1Hz to 120Hz while the vanilla model misses out on this. Similarly, the peak brightness is 1800 nits for the formers and 800 nits for the latter ones. And you get Corning Gorillas Glass Victus protection on all three phones.

Camera

The Meizu 20 series sports a triple-camera setup across the board. The vanilla model equips a 50MP main, 16MP ultrawide, and a 5MP macro snapper. Meanwhile, the Pro sibling goes with 50MP resolution for all primary, ultrawide, and telephoto cameras.

And the Infinity variant consists of a 50MP main, 12MP ultrawide, and 12MP telephoto shooters. Likewise, OIS stabilization is present on the main cameras of all three models. Upfront, you get a 32MP selfie snapper on the Meizu 20 series.

Samsung has decreased the price of the Galaxy A53 in Nepal as well. So, let’s walk through the specs, features, latest official price, and availability of the Samsung Galaxy A53 in Nepal.

Samsung Galaxy A53 Overview:

A familiar design

The design is quite similar to what we have seen in Galaxy A52 and other midrange A series phones of the past. The rear panel is flat, though the edges have a little curve to them. Likewise, the rectangular camera bump now has a smoother curve. It raises so slightly from the rear panel.

On the front, there is a 6.5” Super AMOLED panel with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels. The screen even refreshes at 120Hz. Overall the device weighs around 189 grams and measures 8.9mm in thickness.

Exynos 1280 Chipset

Under the hood, Samsung Galaxy A53 will pack the inhouse Exynos 1280. This chipset has been previously spotted on the Geekbench and Goole Play Console. It features two performance Cortex-A78 cores (@2.4GHz) and six efficiency Cortex-A55 cores (@2GHz).

Vivo just launched a new V-series smartphone in Nepal. Dubbed the Vivo V25, it is a premium midrange device with a color-changing back and a good set of cameras. Let’s look at the specs, features, official price, and availability of the Vivo V25 in Nepal.

Vivo V25 Overview:

Design and Display

Vivo always puts extra attention on making their phone stand out from the crowd, and the new Vivo V25 is no exception. The phone is available in three colors: Aquamarine Blue, Sunrise Gold, and Diamond Black. They all have Fluorite AG glass at the back with a shiny matte finish that resists fingerprint marks.

On top of that, the Aquamarine Blue and Sunrise Gold variants can shift colors when exposed to sunlight or any UV rays.

Over on the front, Vivo V25 sports a 6.44-inch AMOLED screen with a waterdrop notch. It’s an FHD+ panel with support for a 90Hz refresh rate. You can even enjoy HDR content on the phone, thanks to its HDR10+ certification.

The large camera bump at the back is home to a triple camera setup panel and an LED flash. The camera hardware looks unchanged from last year. Like last year, you get a 64MP primary camera, accompanied by an 8MP ultrawide and 2MP macro lens. Fortunately, the primary sensor now has Optical Image Stabilization. Over on the front, Vivo has gotten rid of the 8MP ultrawide lens, leaving just the 50MP sensor for selfies.

Last year, Dell launched a new laptop in its Inspiron lineup called the Inspiron 14 Plus. The notebook features an Alder Lake H-series processor and optional Nvidia graphics.
