Earlier in 2022, Infinix unveiled its first 5G-enabled smartphone, the Zero 5G. Now, the company has succeeded it with 2023 edition with two new models: Infinix Zero 5G 2023 and Zero 5G 2023 Turbo. Performance

The Zero 5G 2023 and Turbo edition differs mostly in terms of performance. The latter is equipped with Dimensity 1080 SoC, while the vanilla model gets Dimensity 920 chip. The two chips have a similar CPU arrangement except for the higher-clocked performance cores on the Dimensity 1080. Infinix has paired the chip with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage on the Turbo model whereas the regular Zero 5G 2023 comes with 128GB storage.

Camera

While the original Zero 5G mimicked Oppo’s Gradient Arc camera design, Infinix has tweaked it a bit on the 2023 iteration. The camera bump on the Infinix Zero 5G looks like a crossover between the said Gradient Arc and Samsung’s Ambient Curve.

Talking about the hardware, Infinix has bumped the resolution on the primary camera to 50MP. On the downside, the phone gets rid of the 13MP telephoto shooter in favor of a gimmicky 2MP micro lens. Razer has announced its lightest gaming mouse yet

Razer kicked off this year with the launch of its new and powerful gaming laptops, including its first 18-inch model. Following that, the company has now unveiled its lightest gaming mouse yet, the Razor Viper Mini Signature Edition, which costs a whopping $280. As aforementioned, it is Razer’s lightest gaming mouse, weighing only 49 grams. The new Mini Signature Edition mouse is 16% lighter than the company’s previous lightest mouse, the Viper V2 Pro. Alongside the Reno 8T 5G, Oppo has launched the Oppo Enco Air 3 TWS in India. The earbuds succeed the Enco Air 2, which was launched last year. So let’s get into the specs, features, availability, and expected price of the Oppo Enco Air 3 in Nepal.

Design

To begin with, Oppo Enco Air 3 boasts a translucent lid design, similar to the Enco Air 2. The company calls this stem’s design a gleaming dewdrop inspired by jewels. Each bud weighs just 3.7 grams while the translucent jelly case opens at 110° for effortless usage.

Yet, their highlight is the HiFi 5 DSP (Digital Signal Processor) that promises clearer speech during voice-based interactions like calls. And although the earbuds miss out on ANC, it relies on AI noise cancellation. The DSP is also said to offer 25 times more processing power and a 50% reduction in battery consumption.

Vivo X90 Pro with a 1-inch Sony sensor arrives in the international market

Alongside the standard Vivo X90, the X90 Pro has arrived on the international market as well. The headlining feature of this phone is definitely its 1-inch type Sony IMX989 sensor. However, the more expensive Vivo X90 Pro+ is still China-exclusive for now. In this article, we will discuss the Vivo X90 series (Pro and Pro+) in more detail, including their official specs, features, expected price, and availability in Nepal.

Vivo X90 Pro Series Overview:

“King of 1-inch sensor”

The main selling point of Vivo’s X series has been the camera, and this year is no different. Both X90 Pro and Pro+ come with a 1-inch Sony IMX989 sensor complemented by Zeiss T* optical lens. To note, it is the same sensor on last year’s Xiaomi 12S Ultra, co-developed by Sony and Xiaomi. As a result, these phones boast a 77% larger sensor than Vivo X80 Pro.

Moving on, Vivo X90 Pro’s triple camera array consists of a 50MP IMX759 portrait sensor and a 12MP IMX663 ultrawide shooter. This portrait camera has a 50mm equivalent focal length and OIS. On the other hand, the X90 Pro+ has a quad camera array instead. Two of which are telephoto cameras.

The first is a 64MP periscopic lens with 3.5x optical zoom. The other is a 50MP IMX758 sensor for portraits. Finally, the fourth camera has a 48MP sensor paired with an ultrawide angle lens. All the cameras except the ultrawide module have Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). In addition, there is a Time-of-Flight (ToF) sensor to assist the quad-camera setup with autofocus.

Vivo V2 ISP

Besides all this, the Vivo X90 Pro duo has the new V2 imaging chip as well. In fact, all three phones of the new X90 series are powered by Vivo’s third-gen image signal processor (ISP). New to the V2 chip is a dedicated 45MB of Static RAM (SRAM) cache, which is said to reduce power consumption significantly.

In addition, the chip provides zero latency snapshots and motion detection techniques. When capturing moving objects, its self-learning capability is improved over previous generations. Vivo also employs the RawEnhance 2.0 technology for improved low-light capture.

Advanced Camera System

Vivo X90 series also brings major improvements in portrait and night photography. For this, the company has been working closely with its imaging partner Zeiss.

The camera setup on the Vivo X90 Pro series consists of different software and hardware components, each with its own function. First is the advanced Zeiss lens with special coatings to control the noises in images. Then there is the True Color Restoration Engine that determines the correct white balance.

This time around, there is also an Ultra-Clear Quality Engine which, like its name suggests, brings out the best possible clarity in the image. It does so by recovering optical information lost because of optical imperfection. A multi-frame model for periscope lenses further refines the image’s dynamic range using the ambient light sensor on the X90 Pro+.

Improved portraits and night photography

Moving on, the Vivo X90 Pro series can detect the subject’s face and pose using 103 different points while shooting portraits. Then these points are used to separate the subject and background so that each can be processed separately.

Vivo has doubled the ISO to 102,400 on the X90 Pro series to improve night photography. Vivo believes this will allow users to take low-light shots without a tripod or a long exposure.

Vivo has become the first brand to launch a smartphone equipped with the latest flagship chipsets from both MediaTek and Qualcomm. The company has used MediaTek’s Dimensity 9200 on the X90 Pro, while the Pro+ gets the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 treatment. Both chips are based on TSMC’s 4nm process and feature the new Cortex-X3 as the Prime core.

The other highlight of these new chips is the hardware-based Ray Tracing made possible by the Immortalis G715 GPU from ARM. Despite packing different SoCs, both Vivo X90 Pro and Pro+ come with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage. The latter is a first for any smartphone.

Design and Display

Moving on, Vivo X90 Pro and Pro+ models have striking resemblance starting with the curved AMOLED display measuring 6.78-inch in diagonal. There is a center-aligned circular cutout for the 32MP selfie shooter. Both phones benefit from the 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ certification, and a peak brightness of 1300 nits. However, the X90 Pro+ has a sharper 1400p resolution compared X90 Pro’s 1260p.

Vivo’s latest flagships also differ in the battery department. The X90 Pro is fueled by a 4,870mAh battery with support for 120W wired fast charging. On the other hand, the Pro+ features a smaller 4,700mAh battery with comparatively modest 80W fast charging support. Both phones can be charged wirelessly at 50W. On the software front, the X90 series ship with OriginOS 13 in China while Vivo ships them with Funtouch OS 13 in the international market.

Vivo’s latest flagship phones consist of three devices: the standard Vivo X90 and a couple of Pro models. They made their debut in China back in November last year, and Vivo has finally brought the X90 to the international market. It is the successor to last year’s Vivo X80 and is the most affordable option in the new X90 lineup. In this article, we will discuss the key specs, features, expected price, and availability of the Vivo X90 in Nepal.

Vivo X90 Overview:

Design and Display

The design of the Vivo X90 is very similar to its Pro siblings. It packs the same 6.78-inch curved AMOLED panel, which refreshes at 120Hz. It has a 10-bit color depth which means it can produce over 1 billion colors. You also get HDR certifications and a peak brightness of up to 1300 nits.

Vivo X90 is available in three color options: China Red, Ice Blue, and Black. The latter two have glass backs, while the China Red has a leather-like textured finish. In addition, the phone also has an IP64 rating against minor water splashes and dust particles.

Performance and Memory

Under the hood, Vivo X90 packs the same Dimensity 9200 as its Pro sibling. It is the latest flagship chip from MediaTek based on a 4nm process. The key highlight of the chip includes the new Cortex-X3 prime core and the ARM Immortalis GPU with hardware-based ray tracing. Camera

The protruding circular camera bump at the back of the Vivo X90 is home to a triple camera setup. Leading the line is the 50MP Sony IMX866 sensor. It is joined by a 12MP ultrawide angle module and a 12MP telephoto sensor with 2x optical zoom. Over on the front, you get a 32MP selfie shooter enclosed by the punch-hole cutout.

To help with the image processing, Vivo has included the V2 ISP on the X90. It is Vivo’s third-gen imaging chip and brings a dedicated SRAM memory for higher efficiency. Overall, it will help the X80 achieve better portrait and low-light photography.

Oppo Reno 8T series goes official silently

Oppo has silently launched the Reno 8T series in Vietnam. The new lineup is an extension to the Reno 8 series and comprises two variants, Reno 8T 4G and Reno 8T 5G. So, let’s get into specifications, features, availability and expected price of the Oppo Reno 8T Series (4G and 5G) in Nepal.

Performance

As the Reno 8T has 4G and 5G variants, needless to say, they have different SoCs underneath them. The 4G variant is powered by the 6nm made Helio G99 chipset. On the other hand, the 5G model gets its horsepower from Qualcomm Snapdragon 695, also fabricated under TSMC’s 6nm nodes.

Memory option include 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of storage for both the models. The latter is expandable via a microSD card. Likewise, the smartphones boot on Android 13 based Color OS 13.

Design and Display

Aside from the difference in SoCs, the two phones have subtle differences in other areas like the design. The Reno 8T 5G sports a premium curved display to differentiate it from its 4G sibling. It has a 6.71-inch Full HD+ AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate.

Likewise, the screen has a peak brightness of 950 nits and an ultra-thin bottom bezel of just 2.32mm. For display protection, Oppo has gone with AGC Dragontrail Glass.

The Reno 8T 4G, on the other hand, boasts a flat display with Full HD+ resolution. The screen refreshes at 90Hz and has a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection for accidental drops and scratches.

Likewise, the smartphone is available in two color variants: Black and Sunset Orange, with latter featuring a faux-leather “Fiberglass” finish. The 5G model comes in Black Starlight, and Dawn Gold, both with a frosted finish on the back.

Camera

For the optics, both siblings share a triple camera layout. The Reno 8T 4G sports a 100MP main camera with an f/1.7 aperture. Filling in the setup is a 2MP depth and a 2MP microscopic unit. While on the front side, you get a 32MP camera for selfies and video calls.

Meanwhile, the primary sensor on the Reno 8T 5G is an f/1.7 108MP shooter. Here too, there is a 2MP depth + 2MP microscope combo on the rear and a 32MP lens on the front.

In terms of battery capacity, the Reno 8T 4G gets its juice from a 5000mAh cell, while the 5G version has a slightly smaller 4800mAh cell. They also differ in charging, with 33W and 67W for the 4G and 5G models, respectively. Connectivity options on both models include, WiFi 5, Bluetooth 5.1, USB Type-C, NFC and so on.

Oppo has currently launched the Reno 8T series in Vietnam. The Vietnamese pricing for the 4G model is VND 8.49 million ($362), while the 5G model retails at VND 9.9 million ($422). With the Galaxy S23 Series, Samsung has also taken the curtain off of the Galaxy Book 3 series. The most premium of the bunch is the Samsung Galaxy Book 3 Ultra. It’s the first Samsung laptop to bear the “Ultra” moniker, so the company is going big on performance here with 13th Gen CPU and RTX 40 series GPU. Let’s get into the specifics of the Samsung Galaxy Book 3 Ultra and its expected price in Nepal.

Design and Display

Although the Book 3 Ultra has the performance to compete with other gaming laptops, it doesn’t have that typical gamer aesthetic. It’s simple in design, has an aluminum chassis, and weighs only 1.7 kg. There are two color options to choose from: Gray or Graphite. Likewise, the laptop enjoys a full-sized backlit keyboard and a Windows precision trackpad which is 39% larger than Galaxy Book 2 Pro.

On the front is a 16-inch 2X AMOLED display with a 3K (2,880 x 1,800) resolution. The screen refreshes at 120Hz, has a peak brightness of 400 nits, and covers a 120%DCI-P3 color gamut. Also, there’s a Full HD webcam on the front for video calls.

Performance

In terms of performance, the Book 3 Ultra has two CPU options: Intel Core i7-13700H and Intel Core i9-13900H. The difference between the two is not drastic though. With its 8% higher Turbo Boost frequency, the i9-13900H maintains a marginal performance advantage over the i7-13700H.

On the graphics front, the Core i9 variant is paired with the Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 laptop GPU, while the i7-13700H is equipped with the Nvidia GeForce RTX 4050 GPU. The memory option includes up to 32GB RAM and up to 1TB of SSD storage.

Vivo Y15C is a design-centric budget phone with a 5,000mAh battery and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. The smartphone made its way to Nepal in August 2022. In this article, we will go through the specs, features, official price, and availability of the Vivo Y15C in Nepal.

Design and Display

Vivo Y15C is built around a 6.51-inch IPS LCD screen with a waterdrop notch for the selfie camera. The phone has automatic brightness adjustment and Vivo’s Eye Protection Mode. The latter controls the screen’s blue light emission to protect the user’s eyes. Outside of it, it’s a standard screen without any high refresh rate.

At the back of the Vivo Y15C, you can find a rectangular camera bump housing a dual-camera setup along with the LED flash. Vivo has used a 13MP sensor with an f/2.2 aperture for the primary camera. It is accompanied by a 2MP macro camera. The rear camera has multiple shooting options that include Time-Lapse, Pro Mode, and Panorama.

Thanks to the “Aura Light” feature, Vivo 15C’s screen lights up when taking selfies in the dark with the 8MP selfie camera. The phone even uses the camera for 2D face unlock.
