Vivo X300 series confirmed with custom 200MP Samsung HPB sensors

Vivo’s product manager Han Boxiao just confirmed what we’ve been hearing in rumors. The upcoming X300 series will pack custom 200MP Samsung sensors, and they’re calling it HPB instead of the expected HP10. Let’s dive in this article, where i will discuss everything about the latest Vivo X300 and X300 Pro, including their camera specifications, features, and expected availability.

The 200MP HPB sensor story

So here’s what’s interesting about this whole 200MP thing. Vivo seems to have worked with Samsung to create this HPB variant, where the “B” stands for Blue Factory, which is Vivo’s internal name. And this sensor comes with a large 1/1.4 aperture and can shoot both 23mm 200MP shots and 50mm 50MP ultra-HD images.

But to be serious, the smartphone camera game imo peaked a couple years back, and 200MP feels more like spec sheet flexing than actual innovation. Though i’d give it to Vivo, their camera processing has gotten genuinely impressive, especially after that Zeiss partnership started paying off.

The regular X300 will use this 200MP HPB sensor as its main camera. Vivo’s throwing in the same blue glass coating from the X200 Ultra plus Zeiss T* coating for better stray light control. They’re also claiming CIPA 4.5 image stabilization, which apparently beats even some Pro-level flagships.

The custom algorithm sounds promising too. They’re using some collaborative platform to boost computing power for high-pixel multi-frame fusion. Whether that translates to better photos in real life remains to be seen, but the X200 series definitely did manage to rank number 1 in our camera rankings, beating the Galaxy S25 Ultra and iPhone 15 Pro Max. The X300 will also get a 50MP ultra-wide and a 50MP 3X periscope telephoto using the IMX885 sensor. That periscope will support 70mm optical zoom and telephoto macro.

Vivo X300 Pro 

Meanwhile, the X300 Pro will use that same 200MP HPB sensor, but for the telephoto lens instead of the main camera. This makes it Vivo’s fourth generation of 200MP telephoto, which is pretty ambitious. And Han Boxiao has claimed this telephoto lens achieves CIPA 5.5-level stabilization and calls it the “new king of telephoto lenses.” They’ve also developed a custom focus tracking engine to handle ultra-long-range motion capture. For the main camera, leaks suggest a 50MP LYT828 with 1/1.3″ sensor size. The telephoto lens gets Zeiss T* coating, APO certification for chromatic aberration control, and fluorite glass to minimize dispersion.

Performance and AI Features

Both phones should run on the Dimensity 9500 chip that’s expected to launch in October. Vivo’s also including their VS1 pre-processing chip and V3+ dual-core architecture for image processing. Altough, we do not know what this chipset wll bring about, but its guaranteed it will be a significant upgrade over the last year’s 9400 and 9400+, which lagged behind the likes of SD 8 Elite. But, there seems to be no reason for me to think these incremental upgrade can have any significant changes in performance itself, altough, it can have affects on things like ISP, conenctivity and so on, as they are part of the same SoC afterall.  Moreover, they’re planning to add AIGC modal large model support for landscape creation and AI customized beauty features, alothough the craze seems to be slowly fading away, many feeling these are all gimmicks with no day-to-day usage.

Vivo X300 Series Launch date and Availability

Vivo hasn’t announced official pricing yet, but expect these to compete with the Xiaomi 16 Ultra, Galaxy S26 Ultra, and iPhone 17 Pro Max when they launch. Based on the X200 series pricing pattern, the X300 could start around NPR 150,000, with the Pro version pushing closer to NPR 200,000.

But it remains to be seen if vivo can really consitently compete with Samsung and Apple in flagship spaces when its getting into seriously expensive territory for Nepal, whereas the last year’s X200 Pro’s near-190k price tag felt outrageous for most buyers. Vivo’s cameras are genuinely good, but convincing people to choose this over an iPhone at similar prices will be the real challenge.

Honor X8c ranks last in the 30K segment as the successor to last year’s X8b with minimal updates – just a 90Hz to 120Hz bump and upgraded 50MP selfie camera. The vegan leather Mars Green finish genuinely looks premium with minimal bezels and that iPhone-esque Dynamic Island cutout, plus you get rare 512GB storage. The 6.7-inch AMOLED display delivers punchy colors with solid outdoor visibility, and the 108MP main camera with OIS takes decent photos, especially selfies that outshine the Galaxy A16.

The deal-breaker is that ancient Snapdragon 685 chipset that feels sluggish for basic tasks and makes gaming practically impossible – PUBG stutters on basic settings. At NPR 34,000 with a NPR 4,000 price hike from last year, it’s impossible to recommend when the CMF Phone 1 or Redmi Note 14 5G offer vastly better performance. Pure “style over substance” – only buy if you absolutely don’t care about performance and are sold on the premium design

5. Redmi Note 14 5G

The newly launched Redmi Note 14 5G is also a pretty well-rounded phone for some NPR 30000. It brings in the Dimensity 7025 Ultra SoC, which is fabbed on a 6nm process. This chip is fairly powerful for the price and should go very decent for day-to-day usage.

Xiaomi has gone with an eye-catching look here that we really dig. And although it’s got the same 120Hz AMOLED display, the display quality is great for a sub 30K phone. The in-display fingerprint sensor is also here to stay for a more premium experience, while Xiaomi has bumped the peak brightness level to 2,100 nits of peak brightness. It retains a stereo speaker setup as well.

Other than this, as for the optics, the Redmi Note 14 5G, there is a 108MP primary camera with OIS, an 8MP ultrawide unit, and a 2MP macro unit. Here, the selfie camera also enjoys a new 20MP sensor. The cameras are decent, but not superb. But for something that launched in 2025, we’re not a fan of the fact that it still boots on Android 14-based HyperOS.

Known for its distinctive design philosophy, the UK-based company continues to impress with this device. The CMF Phone 1 stands out with its unique removable back panel, featuring a rotating dial at the bottom and a visible screw.

In terms of specifications, it boasts a 6.7-inch FHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 2000 nits of peak brightness, and HDR10+ certification. At that price, the display is really gorgeous and surprisingly premium-feeling as well. The battery life is absolutely stellar too, easily pushing 8+ hours and charging decently fast with that 33W brick. Although, the camera is genuinely disappointing. Photos come out looking flat and overexposed, especially in tricky lighting, and don’t even think about zoom or low-light shots. It’s frustrating because everything else about this phone punches way above its weight class, from the smooth Dimensity 7300 performance to Nothing’s clean OS. Gaming isn’t great either, but honestly, if you can live with mediocre photos, this thing is an absolute steal

The Infinix Note 50s genuinely a good phone which punches way above its weight class and makes you wonder why other brands charge so much more. At just 7.6mm thick and 180 grams, it feels incredibly premium in hand, especially with that curved AMOLED display. The Dimensity 7300 Ultimate paired with 8GB LPDDR5X RAM makes everything buttery smooth, and gaming actually works here – BGMI runs great on HD+Ultra settings, and Call of Duty Mobile even hits 90fps. That 144Hz AMOLED panel is gorgeous with vibrant colors, though the curved edges can be annoying during intense gaming sessions.

The camera setup is surprisingly solid for the price – that 64MP Sony sensor delivers Instagram-ready shots with punchy, vibrant colors, and even the 2X zoom works decently in low light. Battery life easily lasts a full day despite being in such a slim body, and 45W charging with bypass charging keeps things cool during gaming. Sure, you only get 2 years of OS updates and some bloatware, but at this price, this phone offers incredible value. It’s easily one of the most well-rounded budget phones right now.

2. OnePlus Nord CE 4 Lite

OnePlus Nord CE 4 Lite

And the second place of the Best Phones Under 30,000 in Nepal goes to the OnePlus Nord CE 4 Lite. Although launched at ridiculous pricing, the recent price drop has made it eligible to be at the second. It’s got a gorgeous AMOLED panel stretching 6.72-inch with a hole punch cutout and 120Hz refresh rate. The design also looks pretty nice with a flat frame and OnePlus ships this guy in three shades: Super Silver, Mega Blue and Ultra Orange.

Other than that, the OnePlus Nord CE 4 Lite is powered by Snapdragon 695 SoC. Which runs fine with around 430K Antutu score and 5G connectivity. From out experience, you could definitely do light weight gaming pretty well. By lightweight, you should probably have understood that it cannot go past 30 fps in games like genshing impact. Similarly, it’s paired with 8 gigs of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. Likewise, the main camera is a 50MP Sony LYT 600 sensor with OIS that clicks really decent looking images. Other one is a 2MP depth sensing unit, which doesn’t help much though. Upfront, there is a 16MP unit for selfies and video calls, which . Meanwhile, it boots on OxygenOS 14 out of the box, but it has also gotten the OxygenOS 15, which feels slick. Lastly, it gets its juice from a 5500mAh battery paired with 80W fast charging, which can easily last for around 6-7 hours in normal usage.

1. Samsung Galaxy A17 5G

The gold medal in this goes to none other than the Samsung Galaxy A17 5G. The Galaxy A1X series has been one of the most popular series, with only Apple behind, in terms of phones sold all around the globe. For that reason, the Galaxy A17 5G is obviously an important phone to look out for. The Galaxy A17 5G certainly feels like Samsung playing it frustratingly safe. Starting off the good part, the glass back makes it feel more premium than previous budget A-series phones, and the camera with OIS delivers those crisp, vibrant shots Samsung is known for – even in cloudy weather, photos pop with that eye-catching color reproduction. The 5,000mAh battery easily pushes through a full day, and getting six years of updates is genuinely impressive for this price range.

But the annoying part is that – Samsung recycled the same Exynos 1330 chipset from the A14 5G that is three years old now. Gaming on this thing is painful; PUBG stutters at 30fps and even Mobile Legends can’t maintain smooth gameplay. For NPR 30,000, that teardrop notch looks ancient, and having just a single speaker feels cheap. If you’re someone who just scrolls social media and takes photos, the A17 is probably the best overall phone out htere. But you’d get better bang for your buck with something like the Redmi Note 14 or CMF Phone 1 if performance matters to you at all.

Oppo A6 GT 5G launched with 7000mAh battery and 80W charging

Oppo just dropped the A6 GT 5G in China, with a massive 7000mAh battery (although this has been a feature of every other smartphone for a while now, see Redmi 15). This article will discuss everything about the latest Oppo A6 GT 5G, including rumours about its Nepal launch, specifications, and availability.

Display and Build

Starting with the display part, there is not much interesting going on. As you’re getting a typical 6.8-inch AMOLED screen with 1.5K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The 1,600 nits peak brightness is decent but since literally every other company has been marketing their phones with overboard brightness specs, i’d hardly see any reason to put any significant weight on this one. You are also getting an under-display fingerprint scanner.

Talking about the dimensions, the phone is 7.7mm thick and weighs around approx. 198-204 grams depending on which variant you pick. Three color options include Rock Mist Blue, Luminous White, and Fluorescent Pink. That blue shade will probably be the crowd favorite here.

Performance and Software

Under the helm, Oppo has provided the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset paired with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. It’s a capable processor, though feels like they could’ve gone with something newer, as it is something that used to be bread and butter of Realme and Vivo phones, altough i’d argue it could be pretty decent deal if the phone were to launch below 30k or somwhere around that. Similarly, regarding memory, i think Oppo has given an amount of RAM with 12GB and 512GB storage,

The phone boots Android 15 with ColorOS on top. And also Oppo’s software has gotten way better over the years, but it’s still not as clean as you find in somthing like NothingOS, OneUI.

Battery and Charging

The mid-range space in Nepal is pretty crowded right now. Xiaomi’s been dominating with their Redmi Note series, and Samsung’s A-series phones are everywhere. Most phones in this price range give you around 5000-6000mAh batteries, so that 7000mAh is actually a big deal. But since the advent of Si-Ca batteries, every other company, other than Samsung, Google or Apple, have been going bonkers on battery ranging anywhere from 6500-8000mAh. And if you might think, the 8000mAh sounds too good to be true, wait till you hear about Realme’s plan for a 15,000mAh battery.

The 80W Super Flash Charge is smart too. Quick top-ups during power cuts for me make way more sense than slow charging with a smaller battery. From what I’ve seen, Oppo’s charging tech is pretty reliable.

Camera Setup

The dual rear camera system includes a 50MP main camera with OIS and a 2MP monochrome sensor. The type of sensor is not clearly mentioned but hey the OIS should help with shaky hands. The 32MP front camera supports 4K video recording.

Starting our list is Honor X7c, which impresses with its large battery and decent performance. The Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 has already been quite an older chipset, but this can handle things quite well without major complaints, though it’s not built for intensive gaming or heavy multitasking. MagicOS 8.0 feels significantly better than Honor’s previous software attempts—the interface is cleaner, animations are smoother, and bloatware is minimal. Battery optimization is excellent, with the 6000mAh capacity easily providing a day-and-a-half of usage with moderate to heavy use.

The TFT LCD display is the weakest point—colors look flat and viewing angles aren’t great. The 108MP camera produces mixed results, performing well in good lighting but struggling in challenging conditions. Build quality feels premium for the price range, with attention to fit and finish that’s better than most competitors. 35W charging is adequate but not exciting. Honor’s focus on reliability over flashy features might appeal to users wanting something dependable.

Realme C75

This is the only Realme phone we have in this list, and for a good reason, its the one worth looking out for. So starting off its best thing, fast charging here is genuinely impressive—45W gets you from dead to 50% in about 30 minutes. The large 6000mAh battery means you’re not charging often anyway, but when you do, it’s quick. Performance with the MediaTek Helio G92 Max handles everything decent, though gaming performance is limited and not worth reccomending, as it casually lags and heats up in very short period of tme. Build quality feels solid despite being mostly plastic. At this price point, the feature-to-cost ratio is hard to beat.

But here Stock Android experience is what we are getting and its refreshing to see after dealing with heavily customized interfaces. No duplicate apps, no weird animations, no unnecessary features—just Android as intended. App performance feels snappier than the specs suggest, likely due to clean software optimization. Updates arrive regularly, and the interface stays consistent without random changes. The Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 5G handles daily tasks smoothly.

The HD+ resolution on a 6.5-inch display is genuinely disappointing. Text looks less sharp, and video quality suffers noticeably. The IPS LCD technology doesn’t help either—colors appear dull compared to AMOLED competitors. Battery life is adequate for a full day, but nothing exceptional. The 20W charging takes over an hour for a complete charge.

Another phone we have in this list is by Vivo. The vivo Y29’s best feature has to be its camera. Here portrait mode actually works better than most phones at this price. The depth detection is more accurate, and edge detection doesn’t completely mess up hair and glasses. Night mode produces usable shots instead of blurry darkness, though don’t expect flagship-level quality. The 50MP main camera handles daylight photography well with decent dynamic range and color reproduction.

That IPS LCD display feels outdated when competitors offer AMOLED at similar prices. Colors look washed out, and outdoor visibility isn’t great despite adequate brightness levels. Funtouch OS remains cluttered with unnecessary animations and features most people won’t use. The Snapdragon 685 5G performs adequately for daily tasks, and 44W charging is genuinely fast. If camera performance is your priority and you can live with the display compromise, it’s worth considering.

Ranking at no 2 is the Redmi Note 14 4G.  And the battery life on the Note 14 4G is solid—easily a full day of heavy use, sometimes stretching to a day and a half with lighter usage. The 33W charging takes about an hour to fill up completely. Performance feels smooth for everyday tasks like social media, messaging, and streaming videos. The MediaTek Helio G99 Ultra (6nm) isn’t the fastest chip around, but it’s efficient and rarely stutters during normal use.

The 108MP main camera takes decent photos in good lighting, though ultrawide shots lack detail and the macro lens is mostly useless. The 20MP front camera handles selfies well. HyperOS is cleaner than MIUI used to be, with fewer ads and unnecessary features. The AMOLED display looks good with accurate colors and decent brightness outdoors. Build quality is typical Xiaomi—plastic but sturdy enough. It’s not exciting, but nothing major goes wrong either. Sometimes predictable reliability is exactly what you want.

The Hot 60 Pro+ has the best display we’ve seen at this price point. That curved AMOLED running at 144Hz looks genuinely impressive – colors are vibrant, blacks are deep, and scrolling feels smooth. At 5.95mm thickness, it’s surprisingly thin while still packing a 5160mAh battery. The build quality feels solid, though the camera bump is quite prominent. Gaming works well enough with the Helio G200, handling PUBG Mobile at medium settings without major frame drops.

Camera performance is inconsistent though. Sometimes photos come out detailed and well-balanced, other times they’re oversharpened with weird color processing. Portrait mode works better than expected, but low-light shots often turn mushy. The MediaTek processor handles daily tasks fine, but heavy multitasking can cause some lag. XOS 15 has improved from previous versions but still feels bloated compared to stock Android. Six color options is nice, though some are quite loud.

Moondrop announced the Space Travel 2 earbuds not too long ago. It’s the successor to the extremely popular “Moondrop Space Travel” budget earbuds, which brought some meaningful upgrades like longer battery life. But just a couple of weeks later, the company has dropped the Space Travel 2 Ultra with some interesting improvements. So without further ado, let’s take a closer look at everything the Moondrop Space Travel 2 Ultra is packing, including its expected price in Nepal.

Design and audio

As expected, the Space Travel 2 Ultra has this unique case design with a transparent chassis and no lid to properly hold the earbuds.

There’s also some space-themed design going on in the charging case, while you can only get these in-ear earbuds in a single grayish color option. The one thing that kinda sucks is that the Space Travel 2 Ultra still doesn’t have any form of IP rating.

The audio quality is where things get interesting since Moondrop has used a new 13mm annular single-magnetic planar driver with stronger N55 magnets. To compare, the original Space Travel 2 uses a more common 13mm dynamic driver + N52 magnet combo.

And without going too deep inside the rabbit hole, this should mean the Ultra version has better bass response, besides everything else. At least in theory. You can also customize its audio quality and other settings from the official Moondrop app.

To make matters even easier, there’s even the option to just select the target response curve you want right from the app. And if you are not happy with that either, Moondrop’s “AI Yuki Beta 0.1” feature can even adapt to a different sound profile based on what kind of music you’re listening to.

Moreover, Space Travel 2 Ultra is the only one in its lineage to support high-res LDAC codec as well. That means you will be able to stream up to 24-bit/96 kHz audio from these earbuds. Other than this, it has the same 55ms low-latency mode

Noise cancellation

Interestingly enough, Moondrop has gone with a feedforward-only approach to active noise cancellation (ANC) on these earbuds.

Moondrop says hybrid ANC with both feedforward and feedback mics can affect bass response, which requires further engineering, thus complicating the overall performance.

And according to the company, it has managed to achieve 36% better ANC versus the original Space Travel. There’s also a dedicated AI-powered Neural Processing Unit (NPU) to cut down the ambient noise during phone calls. That being said, a single-mic solution has us worried about its call quality anyway.

Infinix just dropped the GT 30 5G in Nepal, its latest midrange gaming phone. And this guy has a bunch of cool features like dedicated shoulder triggers and a 144Hz AMOLED display. Now, let’s read this article, where I will discuss everything about the latest Infinix GT 30 5G, including its official price in Nepal, specifications, and availability.

Display and gaming features

You’re getting a massive 6.78-inch AMOLED screen with a 144Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling. The peak brightness hits 1,600 nits (HBM), which is pretty wild for this price range. And it is also protected by Gorilla Glass 7i.
