JLab launches JBuds Mini, a teeny-tiny TWS earbud

JLab Audio, an American consumer audio brand launched JBuds Mini, along with a banger launch video focusing on its industry-leading teeny tiny size. In this article let’s discuss what’s so special about the JLab JBuds Mini, its price in Nepal, availability, and more!

JLab JBuds Mini Overview:

Design

As the name suggests, the size of the earbuds is well, mini. Neither the design of the case nor the buds themselves are anything out of the ordinary. The designs are pretty basic with the case taking a capsule shape with a strap. Similar to other offerings from JLab, the entire outer side of the JBud Mini features the company logo. The main highlight of the product is that the entire case measures less than 2 inches in length. The company draws comparisons with its popular GO Air POP, wherein the case (of JBud Mini) is 50% the size (of GO Air POP) and the buds themselves are 30% smaller.

The buds are designed such that, they can be doubled down as a keychain. The JLab JBuds Mini boasts an IP55 rating, meaning it should be easily able to handle any amount of sweating during your exercise session. However, submerging the buds underwater is not recommended. Due to its small stature, the JBuds Mini does not protrude out of your ear. Therefore, it will not hinder you when doing your jumping jacks or lying on the bed with the buds on.

On top of that, the JBuds Mini weighs a mere 3.30 grams, thus this lightweight unit should easily blend into your ear. Despite the product being designed with people with small ears in mind, JLab has not forgotten about the regular folks. They have included 3 sets of silicone gel tips for you to find the size of your choice. These earbuds are available in wide five color options: Plain ol’ black, Aqua Teal, Mint Green, Pink, and Sage Grey.

Features

Even though the company has cut the size of the device, they don’t seem to have cut major corners in terms of features. The JBuds mini features a 6-millimetre dynamic driver, which isn’t impressive per se. But, this is capable of delivering an output of up to 98 dB (±3dB). Given the driver size, the JBuds Mini might not be able to deliver the most powerful bass out there. This seems to be the only trade-off with the products as every other feature seems to be very impressive.

The JBuds Mini comes with Bluetooth 5.3 along with Bluetooth Multipoint. This means that you can connect your earbuds to two devices at the same time. You could be listening to your favorite songs from your laptop and seamlessly receive calls from your phone. These earbuds also feature Google Fast Pair, giving you an effortless pairing experience with supported Android devices.

This, however, does not mean that you cannot connect with other devices. It just takes a few more steps than on a supported Android device. The MEMS microphone of the JBuds Mini provides you with an ANC feature to make clearer calls. JBuds Mini also has a “Be Aware Mode”, which is just a fancy term for turning off the ANC to let in the surrounding sound for your safety.

JBuds Mini also has a companion JLab App, wherein you can indulge yourself with customization.

Battery Life

Powering up the JBuds Mini earbuds is a 35 mAh battery, whereas the case gets 250 mAh of juice. With this, the earbuds can provide you with over 5.5 hours of playback time. The number jumps to over 20 hours when combined with the casing. JLab mentions that the charging time of the case is 2 hours despite featuring a USB Type-C. This would mean that the unit sadly does not support fast charging.

At CES 2022, Asus announced the ZenBook 14X OLED Space Edition which hit the market in April. It has now been officially launched in Nepal by Nagmani International. In this article, we will be discussing the specs, features, official price, and availability of the Asus ZenBook 14X OLED Space Edition in Nepal.

Asus ZenBook 14X OLED Space Edition Overview:

Design

Asus ZenBook 14X OLED Space Edition was first announced to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the P6300 laptop that was part of a space mission in 1998. Needless to say, the design of the laptop takes a lot of visual cues from space. The chassis is made out of an aluminum alloy finished with Zero-G Titanium color, which the company says is reflective of the material used in spacecraft.

The laptop is even compliant with space-grade durability tests. In addition to the US military standard that most Asus laptops have, the ZenBook 14X OLED Space Edition even passes SMC-S-016A. The laptop is full of space-themed motifs and easter eggs encrypted in Morse code.

Asus has even integrated a 3.5-inch OLED monochrome display towards the edge of the outer lid.

The outer lid has a 3.5-inch OLED monochrome display. By default, it displays space-themed animation as well as smart notifications. But you can also use it to show off customized text using the MyAsus app.

Opening the lid, you are greeted with a 14-inch OLED panel with a 16:10 aspect ratio. Globally, Asus provides a ton of display options, but the one available in Nepal boasts 10-bit color depth, 90Hz refresh rate, and response time of 0.2ms. It boasts 550 nits of peak HDR brightness and has VESA DisplayHDR certification to back it up. Moreover, it covers 100% DCI-P3 coverage and has Pantone Validation out of the box.

By the way, it is a glossy screen with multi-touch support. So, you can buy a compatible stylus and start sketching on it. It even has SGS Eye Care certification against blue light emission. The bezels are pretty minimal resulting in a 92% screen-to-body ratio.

Performance

Under the hood, Asus ZenBoook 14X OLED Space Edition packs the latest Core-i712700H processor with 6 performance and 8 efficiency cores. There is no discrete GPU. Thus, you will have to rely on the integrated Iris Xe graphics for graphics-related tasks. There is 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM onboard along with 1TB of NCME SSD.

For heat management, Asus has included the IceCool thermal technology. It’s an active cooling solution with two fans and heat pipes (6mm + 8mm). The fans are made of a liquid-crystal polymer and feature 87 blades each.

Even the keyboard deck reflects the space-inspired theme. It is a full-sized keyboard with 19.05mm key pitch and 1.4mm travel. The key caps are dished to match the shape of the fingertip. Accompanying it is an anti-fingerprint touchpad with a hydrophobic coating. It can instantly transit to a number pad with a press of a button. There is even a fingerprint button integrated into the power button.

Nepal is bringing a bunch of new JBL products here, and JBL Wave Flex is one of them. The product is similar to Tune Flex but without the ANC part. These pair of earbuds bring in JBL’s audio with a long-lasting battery life and a fairly decent list of specs. So, without further ado, let’s quickly dive into the specifications, features, and price of JBL Wave Flex BT earbuds in Nepal.

Stick-open design

As for the design, JBL Wave Flex features half-in-ear/open-fit earbuds, which JBL refers to as a “stick-open” design. According to them, this design offers an ergonomic fit for the ears, and the “stick” likely refers to the stem of the earbuds. This stem allows users to control music playback, calls, and volume without needing to pick up their phone.

Additionally, both the buds and the case get LEDs over here to indicate their connection or charging status. JBL is expanding its midrange headphone lineup with the new JBL Tune 770NC. While it may have a familiar design, the performance upgrades more than makeup for it. In this article, we will see all the features of JBL TUNE 770NC along with its specifications, availability, and expected price in Nepal.

Design and Build

The headphone’s design is similar to its predecessor, the 760NC, offering the same look and feel. With a larger over-ear form, they provide good comfort and decent noise isolation.

Motorola just announced the G54 but surprisingly the Chinese and Indian variants are a bit different from each other. Regardless, in this article, we will talk about the design, features, specifications, and expected price in Nepal of the Motorola Moto G54 (Indian variant).

Motorola Moto G54 Overview:

Design and Display

The Moto G54 features a similar design to its predecessor, the Moto G53, with a plastic back and rectangular camera module. The Indian variant features a “glass-like” plastic back unlike the Chinese G54 with Vegan Leather.

The Indian variant is also thicker (8.89 mm compared to 8.04mm on the Chinese one) and heavier (192 grams compared to 180 grams on the Chinese one). Motorola claims a water-repellent design but there is no official IP rating. Color options on the G54 5G include Mint Green, Midnight Blue, and Pearl Blue.

Moto G54 boasts a 6.5” FHD+ LCD display. The panel has a refresh rate of 120Hz alongside a 240Hz touch sampling rate. But, the device still has a slightly thick bottom bezel with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
