Funtouch OS 14 Update Roadmap:
Vivo is prepping to launch a beta update of the Funtouch OS 14 starting with the flagship Vivo X90 and Vivo X90 Pro. The third phone on the list will be the X80 Pro in mid-November while the December update is booked for X80, V29 Pro, v27 Pro, and V27. The company is seeking to update 32 phones by the mid of April 2024. But do note, that this will be a beta version, not a stable one.

Vivo has brought some cool new changes to the Funtouch OS 14. The new features are not only accustomed to personalization stuff but also to overall smooth experience, video editing, and such.
Personalization Tools
Talking of the customization on the Funtouch OS 14, you can alter the lock screen clock style with 3 layout styles and 8 font options. On top of that, there are new 90+ AOD styles and a minimalist theme.
Privacy and Security
In terms of privacy features, users can mirror their screen without revealing the phone content on the secondary screen. Plus, there is an enhanced app hiding and password protection for hidden photos.
Video Editing
The Funtouch OS arrives with an inbuilt video editor that allows creating short format videos at ease. Users can export the output in original quality and play with 25 filters for customizations. Additionally, the video playback experience is also improved with playback speed, loop playback, and screenshot capture features.
Multitasking
The small window feature gets a revamp in the Funtouch OS 14. Users can play with up to 12 small windows active in the background. Likewise, it also supports side-swipe suspension for fluent control.
Smooth Experience
Moving on, you get a RAM Saver option that can release up to 600MB of RAM for faster operation. With Extended RAM 3.0, Vivo claims up to 36 apps running in the background and up to 17 apps on a 12GB RAM and 8GB RAM smartphone respectively.
Besides that, there is also a Motion Blur option that chances smoother animation by up to 18.7% at a 60Hz refresh rate. The App retainer from iQOO Neo 7 Pro also arrives on this latest skin. Users can whitelist more than 100 apps to stay on their last interface where they are left for a seamless experience.
