Lenovo Legion Pro 5 Gen 10 (2025) Launching soon in Nepal!

Lenovo is set to introduce the Legion Pro 5 Gen 10 16IAX10 (2025) in the Nepali market. The laptop features a 16-inch WQXGA OLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate, 100% DCI-P3 color accuracy, and support for Dolby Vision and Display HDR True Black 1000. It is powered by the Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX processor with 24 cores and paired with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 GPU featuring 8GB of GDDR7 VRAM. So, let’s discuss the specs, features, price, and availability of the Legion 5 Pro series 2025 in Nepal.

Lenovo Legion Pro 5 (2025) Series Overview

Design and Display

The new Legion Pro 5 series doesn’t feature a complete re-design of the outer chassis unlike the Legion Pro 7i which has a full-width exhaust at its tail and moves ports to the sides. It’s got a similar look to its predecessor with ports distributed on the sides as well as the back. The Legion is only going to be available in a single ‘Eclipse Black’ color option.

Lenovo Legion Pro 5 2025 Design

The display does get a massive upgrade though. For the first time ever, you can equip the Lenovo Legion Pro 5 (Gen 10) with an OLED screen. It goes up to a 16” WQXGA screen with up to 240Hz refresh rate, 500 nits of brightness, and less than 0.5 ms of response time. The OLED is a super choice for gamers due to its deeper contrast, and ultrafast response times while the high brightness and vibrant colors will make for a gorgeous media experience.

Legion Pro 5 (AMD) and Legion Pro 5i (Intel) Gen 10

As you might have guessed, we see new AMD and Intel processors on the Legion 5 Pros. On the red team, you get up to a Ryzen 9 9955HX but not the X3D version. I suppose Lenovo is saving the Ryzen 9 9955HX3D for its Legion Pro 7 Gen 10 but there are no words on that yet.

On the Intel side, it goes up to the Core Ultra 9 275HX Arrow Lake processor with 24 cores and threads with a boost clock of 5.4 GHz. Here too, Lenovo seems to be skipping out on the top-of-the-line Ultra 9 285HX but it’s a more reasonable choice since the two only differ by slightly different clock speeds.

For running games and graphically demanding applications, the Legion Pros ship with NVIDIA’s 50 series Maxwell GPUs with options up to the RTX 5070 on the Pro 7 and the RTX 5070 Ti on the Pro 7i. The latter has 50% more VRAM and can operate at up to 140W. There’s also Lenovo’s AI engine with its LA1 and LA3 chips that optimize settings in real time to achieve optimal performance. It’s all kept cool by Lenovo’s Coldfront Hyper tech which we saw perform pretty well in the last-gen Pros as well.

Memory and Connectivity

Just like previous generations, there are 2 SO-DIMM slots for your DDR5 sticks but now you can get up to 32GB of fast 6400 RAM. The SSD speed and configurations remain the same though at up to 2TB PCIe Gen 4 via the dual M.2 slots in the board. As for the ports, there’s an HDMI 2.1 and power connector at the back, with the dual type-C, triple type-A, ethernet, privacy switch, and audio jack on the sides. This year we also get to see the upgrade to faster WiFi 7 alongside Bluetooth 5.4.

The Legion Pro 5 and Pro 5i (2025) both house 80Wh batteries but the Intel version is fed more power with its 300W brick while the Pro 5 gets a smaller 245W charger. The keyboard gets slight upgrades with slightly more travel (1.6mm vs 1.5mm) and granular RGB control (24-zone vs 4-zone previously).

Infinix is a youth-centric brand that launches feature-rich smartphones at a rate that does not leave a hole in your pocket.

With the “The future is Now” tagline, Infinix appeals to the younger generation looking for stylish yet affordable smartphones. Infinix smartphones are influenced by French design because of the company’s origin. The company is also expanding its portfolio to include audio accessories.

The brand is active in Europe, Africa, Latin America, Asia, and the Middle East. In this post, we have listed different Infinix mobile phones along with their official specs, price, and availability in Nepal.

Authorized Infinix Distributors in Nepal

Initially, Ola Electronics Pvt. Ltd. was the sole authorized distributor of Infinix smartphones in Nepal. But the company currently oversees Nepal’s eastern region only, while Sarathi Enterprises Pvt. Ltd. has taken over the western region, and Kratos Technologies Pvt. Ltd. is responsible for the Kathmandu Valley. So in total, there are 3 authorized Infinix distributors in Nepal.

The phone comes with a 6.77-inch AMOLED screen. It supports 120Hz refresh rate and offers a peak brightness of up to 4500 nits. The panel is curved, and honestly, for this price, that’s not bad at all.

Processor and RAM

Under the hood, vivo has packed in the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 processor. It’s paired with 8GB RAM, and you get another 8GB as virtual memory. Storage options go up to 256GB.

Cameras

On the back, there’s a 50MP Sony IMX882 sensor. You also get a 2MP depth lens and an Aura Light for lighting control. The front has a 32MP shooter, and both cameras support 4K video. That’s kinda rare in this segment.

Battery and Charging

There’s a 5500mAh battery here. The phone supports 90W charging, which vivo says can juice it up to 50% in 19 minutes.

It ships with Android 15 and Funtouch OS 15. You also get an IP65 rating, which means it should hold up against dust and light splashes. Thickness is 7.49mm on the Nebula Purple model, which is decent for a 5500mAh battery.

Asus Laptops Price in Nepal 2025 [Updated]

Asus is a well-established manufacturer of computers & their complementary hardware products. And in this post, we’ll be looking at all the Asus laptops available in Nepal, including their price and availability.

Asus Brand Overview:

Mostly revered in the gaming community for its excellent gaming laptops & such, the company has quite the following. Not only that, but Asus is also known for its innovation, great design, and value-oriented laptops.

There’s something for everyone, from the VivoBook, ZenBook, and TUF to the ROG lineup of laptops. Thankfully, consumers in Nepal also have a decent set of options for Asus laptops to choose from, and their price is quite competitive as well.

Looking for something simple? Go for a VivoBook. And if you’re looking for something radical, like, I don’t know, a dual-screen laptop? The ZenBook Duo / Pro Duo is available in the country as well.

For this list, we’ll only be including Asus laptops with Intel Core i5/i7/i9 (12th-gen or newer) and AMD Ryzen 7000 or 8000-series powered devices. That’s because we believe getting older CPU-powered laptops is not worth your money right now.

Asus Laptops Overview

Asus VivoBook Series

The VivoBook lineup of laptops contains a wide range of selections, from the absolute starter devices to convertibles (2-in-1) to even a few decent gaming options. If you ask me, I say it’s a travesty that products of such contrasting abilities are jammed into the same naming convention.

Asus VivoBook 15 - Design 2

Currently, you can choose from the cheap VivoBook E series to a professional VivoBook Pro series of laptops in Nepal. All these devices come with a similar design choice: comparatively slim and lightweight laptops with screen sizes ranging from 13 to 15 as well as some 16 inches.

Here, the VivoBook X, K, & S can be an optimal choice for students, programmers, corporate users, or someone who indulges in low-end computing tasks. Depending upon the model, you can even get one with a dedicated graphics card, which is usually a low-tier MX series from Nvidia.

Similarly, if you want something capable of lightweight gaming as well, the VivoBook F series can be the one for you as it comes with an Nvidia MX GPU. Finally, the VivoBook Flip series of laptops is great for someone looking for a versatile device, as it can be used as a tablet or a laptop. Moreover, the new ARM-based Vivobooks with the Qualcomm X series chipsets boast impressive battery life alongside snappy performance.

Asus ZenBook Series

Here, the ZenBook is the company’s series of ultrabooks with a sturdy and lightweight build. Like the VivoBook series, there is also a wide variety of laptops differing in size and performance under the ZenBook tag. Depending upon the year of release, Asus has categorized this series into various sub-categories.

asus zenbook pro duo series laptop price nepal

Honestly, there’s not much of a difference between these, except for the screen size and the generation of processor used. Talking about the screen size, ZenBook laptops can range between 13 and 15 inches.

More excitingly, the ZenBook Duo / Pro Duo also falls under this category and has that gorgeous dual-screen for enhanced productivity. While almost any type of user can benefit from it, the additional display is mostly targeted toward content creators like graphic designers, video editors, and gamers.

These are premium products and ergo will cost a lot of money as well. The ZenBook lineup also features convertible (2-in-1) laptops that can be used as a tablet or a regular laptop as per necessity.

Asus ProArt Series

As the name suggests, Asus has catered its ProArt series to provide capable machines for creatives. They are somewhat premium devices with color-accurate screens, powerful processors, and a portable mobile design. The sizes can range from a compact 13-inch 2 in 1 to a larger 16-inch ultrabook but all have some things in common. They generally have an Asus DiaPad on the touchpad, Lumina OLED screens and some sort of dedicated GPU be it running at low power. Although not many ProArt laptops are available in Nepal, you can check out the PX13 with its new Ryzen AI processors.

Asus TUF Gaming Series

Short for “The Ultimate Force,” Asus’ TUF series represents the company’s thin & light gaming laptops; in comparison to traditional high-end gaming laptops, that is.

Asus TUF Gaming F15 2022 - Design 2

We’ve been conditioned to picture a portable gaming machine as something powerful yet bulky, and the TUF laptops break that barrier. Unlike the thin-and-light Ultrabooks from Asus, these come with an H-series CPU (higher TDP) for increased performance. This is true for other gaming laptops from Asus too.

And in the process, it also loses a bit of computing power. Therefore, these do not have the most top-end CPU & GPU (reserved for the expensive ROG series instead) and come with GTX graphics. Some variants with entry-level RTX cards are also available but with lower TGP. Here, buyers can choose between i5 or i7 processors or AMD Ryzen 5, 7, or 9 processors in terms of CPU.

Asus ROG Gaming Series

Now, let’s talk about the ROG gaming series. An abbreviation for “Republic Of Gamers,” you can clearly determine who the target audience is here – prolific gamers who want their laptops to push through AAA titles without any hiccups. The Asus ROG laptops have bold design choices with gaming aesthetics infused throughout the device, from RGB lighting to the layout of the fans to the materials used.

Moreover, they also come with a smoother 144Hz refresh rate to make use of the capable internals during gaming sessions. This also includes the ROG Zephyrus series of gaming laptops.

ROG Zephyrus Series:

The ROG Zephyrus laptops are meant to be powerful yet portable laptops. These are also more affordable to the other ROG laptops.

ROG Strix Series:

Asus ROG Strix laptops are designed as the ultimate gaming machine. These laptops feature the best in-line hardware from Intel, AMD, and NVIDIA paired with Asus’s latest cooling technologies for the premium gaming experience.

Our Top Picks

Asus Zenbook 14 (2025): Premium Ultrabook

Asus’s Zenbook lineup of ultrabooks is great for those who want stylish, powerful laptops for everyday carry. These often feature modern-looking lids with cool patterns and weigh around the 1.2-1.5kg mark. Moreover, they also ship with gorgeous OLED displays and capable Intel/Ryzen chipsets. Our recommendation right now is the Zenbook 14 (2025) with a Core Ultra 7 Processor and an OLED screen. For the price, you get a decent amount of memory (16GB RAM, 1TB Gen 4 SSD), a premium feeling build (1.2kg, metal chassis), and long-lasting endurance (75Wh). Of course, there are no compromises when it comes to other aspects like the keyboard, trackpad, speakers, and webcam.

Asus Zenbook Duo (2025): Expensive Extravaganza

Tired of the same old form factor? The Zenbook Duo for 2025 brings a laptop that looks normal, and can do normal, but has more than a few tricks up its sleeve. Firstly, there are dual 3K OLED touch displays that make multi-tasking and everyday workflows a breeze. Then, there’s the built-in metal kickstand. This comes into play when propping up the laptop in dual-screen mode or portrait orientation. The battery life is impressive as well and the Bluetooth keyboard is an engineering marvel feeling just like a normal laptop keyboard while half as slim. Windows still has a hard time dealing with the Duo shenanigans once in a while, but it is mostly smooth sailing with the powerful Core Ultra 9 processor.

Asus ROG Strix G18 (2024): Gaming Giant

When budget is out of the conversation and gaming is what’s in the talk, then the Strix G18 is surely to come up sooner or later. The 2024 variant ships with a super powerful 24 Core i9-14900HX Raptor Lake refresh CPU. That is paired with an equally as impressive NVIDIA RTX 4070 GPU. Since these are housed in a large 18″ chassis, they have plenty of thermal headroom to run at full wattage. The large WQXGA screen runs at a super fast 240Hz refresh rate with minimal response time (3ms) and G-Sync support. Since it covers the full DCI-P3 gamut, you can also use the Strix G18 for your creative endeavors like 4k video editing. Rendering and animation should also be things that you’ll cruise through on the G18.

MIT unveils low-cost 3D chip tech that could boost smartphone performance

MIT researchers have come up with a new way to build 3D chips that might change how smartphones and other electronics perform. The new method allows tiny GaN (gallium nitride) transistors to be added directly to regular silicon chips—something that was either too expensive or too complex before. This article will discuss everything about the latest 3D chip integration method, including its expected impact, key details, and potential applications.

3D GaN-on-Silicon Tech Overview

What’s Actually New Here

3D GaN-on-Silicon Tech

Instead of using full GaN wafers, which are costly, the team used small GaN “dielets”—each around 240 by 410 microns in size. These are laser-cut and then placed directly on top of silicon chips. This is done using copper connections instead of gold. That’s a big deal because copper is cheaper, easier to work with, and more conductive.

How It’s Bonded

The transistors are bonded using copper-to-copper contact at temperatures below 400°C. This bonding method doesn’t just cut costs—it also works with today’s standard semiconductor factories. So the process could actually be adopted without needing new equipment.

What They Built

The team tested this with a power amplifier built on Intel’s 22nm FinFET silicon. The result? It gave better signal strength, more bandwidth, and used less power than current chips made only with silicon. That’s promising if it ends up in actual phones.

The Precision Part

Placing something this small on a chip isn’t easy. So, MIT designed a special tool that uses vacuum and precise microscopy to line up each transistor before bonding. Indeed, the level of alignment here is down to nanometers.

Availability and What’s Next

The research was officially presented at the IEEE RFIC Symposium in June 2025, under the title “3D‑Millimeter Wave Integrated Circuit (3D‑mmWIC)…”

Right now, it’s still in the research phase. But since it’s compatible with existing manufacturing systems, the transition to mass production might not be as far off as it seems. If it does go commercial, it could lead to much faster smartphones with longer battery life and better on-device AI.
