Best Mobile Phones Under Rs. 25,000 in Nepal [Updated 2025]

0

In this article, we have listed our picks for the best phones under NPR 25000 in Nepal in 2024. The mid-range smartphone market is probably the most competitive in many countries including Nepal. While most of us may not be economically able to purchase a flagship device, we’re fortunate enough since mid-range phones have gotten so good these days.

However, the 25K market is a little bit of an oddball. Spend just a little more and you can choose from some of the best mid-rangers, save up a little and you go home with one of the best budget smartphones. Nevertheless, there are plenty of good options under this category. Let’s look at the best mobile phones you can buy under NPR 25000 in Nepal.

Note: In this list, we have also included a few smartphones that cost more than NPR 25000 — but not by a lot. We’ve done this so that you can further curate your choices, and also because we don’t want you to miss any good deal by spending NPR 500 – 1000 more. The prices of such products are marked with an asterisk (*) at the end.

How to choose the best phones under NPR 25000 in Nepal?

For the best price-to-productivity ratio from a phone under NPR 25000 in Nepal, you should at least expect a Full HD IPS panel or even Super AMOLED. Similarly, the Snapdragon 600 series or MediaTek’s Helio/Dimensity lineup of chipsets should yield respectable performance on these phones.

Furthermore, if you install a lot of games and click a lot of photos, 128GB of storage should be a bare minimum. For the battery, 5000mAh or more will usually deliver excellent endurance.  With that out of the way, let’s check out the best phones under NPR 25000 you can buy in Nepal.

Best mobile phones under NPR 25000 in Nepal:

7. Honor X7c

Honor X7c

Starting our list is Honor X7c, which impresses with its large battery and decent performance. The Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 has already been quite an older chipset, but this can handle things quite well without major complaints, though it’s not built for intensive gaming or heavy multitasking. MagicOS 8.0 feels significantly better than Honor’s previous software attempts—the interface is cleaner, animations are smoother, and bloatware is minimal. Battery optimization is excellent, with the 6000mAh capacity easily providing a day-and-a-half of usage with moderate to heavy use.

The TFT LCD display is the weakest point—colors look flat and viewing angles aren’t great. The 108MP camera produces mixed results, performing well in good lighting but struggling in challenging conditions. Build quality feels premium for the price range, with attention to fit and finish that’s better than most competitors. 35W charging is adequate but not exciting. Honor’s focus on reliability over flashy features might appeal to users wanting something dependable.

Specifications

  • Display: 6.77-inch TFT LCD, 120Hz, FHD+
  • Chipset: Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2
  • Memory/Storage: 8GB/256GB
  • OS/UI: MagicOS 8.0 based on Android 14
  • Rear Camera: 108MP main + 2MP macro
  • Front Camera: 8MP
  • Battery and Charging: 6000mAh, 35W charging
  • Colors: Forest Green (Vegan Leather), Midnight Black, Moonlight White
  • Price in Nepal: NPR 24,499 (8GB + 256GB)

6. Realme C75

Realme C75

This is the only Realme phone we have in this list, and for a good reason, its the one worth looking out for. So starting off its best thing, fast charging here is genuinely impressive—45W gets you from dead to 50% in about 30 minutes. The large 6000mAh battery means you’re not charging often anyway, but when you do, it’s quick. Performance with the MediaTek Helio G92 Max handles everything decent, though gaming performance is limited and not worth reccomending, as it casually lags and heats up in very short period of tme. The FHD+ IPS display looks decent enough with adequate brightness and color reproduction.

Realme UI 5.0 packs too many features into every corner of the interface. Lots of customization options, themes, and settings that most users will never touch. The bloatware situation has improved but isn’t completely gone. Camera quality is acceptable for the price, as you can click decent pictures in day light, like most phones, it struggles in places where color reproduction is difficult, and it also got an extra auxiliary cameras, which although are mostly filler. Build quality feels solid despite being mostly plastic. At this price point, the feature-to-cost ratio is hard to beat.

Specifications

  • Display: 6.72-inch IPS LCD, 90Hz, FHD+
  • Chipset: MediaTek Helio G92 Max
  • Memory/Storage: 8GB/128GB, 8GB/256GB variants
  • OS/UI: Realme UI 5.0 based on Android 14
  • Rear Camera: 50MP main + 0.08MP auxiliary
  • Front Camera: 8MP
  • Battery and Charging: 6000mAh, 45W fast charging
  • Colors: Lightning Gold, Storm Grey
  • Price in Nepal: NPR 24,999 (8+128GB), NPR 26,999 (8+256GB)

5. Moto G45

Motorola Moto G45

The G45 is the older sibling of G35, which we have mentioned in a different list. But here Stock Android experience is what we are getting and its refreshing to see after dealing with heavily customized interfaces. No duplicate apps, no weird animations, no unnecessary features—just Android as intended. App performance feels snappier than the specs suggest, likely due to clean software optimization. Updates arrive regularly, and the interface stays consistent without random changes. The Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 5G handles daily tasks smoothly.

The HD+ resolution on a 6.5-inch display is genuinely disappointing. Text looks less sharp, and video quality suffers noticeably. The IPS LCD technology doesn’t help either—colors appear dull compared to AMOLED competitors. Battery life is adequate for a full day, but nothing exceptional. The 20W charging takes over an hour for a complete charge.

Specifications

  • Display: 6.5-inch LCD, HD+resolution, 120Hz refresh rate
  • Chipset: Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 5G
  • Memory: 4GB or 8GB + up to 8GB extendable,  128GB
  • OS: Android 14
  • Rear Camera: 50-megapixel primary camera + 2-megapixel depth sensor (expected)
  • Front Camera: 16-megapixel
  • Battery: 5,000mAh
  • Colour: Brilliant Blue, Brilliant Green, Viva Magenta
  • Price in Nepal: NPR 24,999 (8/128GB)

4. Vivo Y29

Vivo Y29

Another phone we have in this list is by Vivo. The vivo Y29’s best feature has to be its camera. Here portrait mode actually works better than most phones at this price. The depth detection is more accurate, and edge detection doesn’t completely mess up hair and glasses. Night mode produces usable shots instead of blurry darkness, though don’t expect flagship-level quality. The 50MP main camera handles daylight photography well with decent dynamic range and color reproduction.

That IPS LCD display feels outdated when competitors offer AMOLED at similar prices. Colors look washed out, and outdoor visibility isn’t great despite adequate brightness levels. Funtouch OS remains cluttered with unnecessary animations and features most people won’t use. The Snapdragon 685 5G performs adequately for daily tasks, and 44W charging is genuinely fast. If camera performance is your priority and you can live with the display compromise, it’s worth considering.

Specifications

  • Display: 6.68-inch IPS LCD, 120Hz, FHD+
  • Chipset: Snapdragon 685 5G
  • Memory/Storage: 8GB/128GB
  • OS/UI: Funtouch OS based on Android
  • Rear Camera: 50MP main + 2MP depth
  • Front Camera: 8MP
  • Battery and Charging: 6500mAh, 44W fast charging
  • Colors: Titanium Silver, Glacier Blue
  • Price in Nepal: NPR 24,999 (8/128GB), NPR 26,999 (8/256GB)

3. Galaxy M16

Samsung Galaxy M16 5G

Ranking at number three is Galaxy M16. Samsung’s biggest strength here is battery optimization. The 5000mAh capacity combined with efficient software means two full days of usage is normal, not exceptional. The Super AMOLED display looks decent, though 90Hz feels slower after using 120Hz phones. One UI 6.1 has matured well—fewer duplicate apps, cleaner interface, and Samsung’s promise of longer software support is worth considering.

Performance feels sluggish compared to competitors. App launches take a bit longer, and switching between heavy apps shows some delay. The camera system is basic but functional—50MP main sensor produces acceptable photos, though nothing special. Build quality feels sturdy, typical Samsung construction even in budget phones. The MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor is showing its age, especially in gaming performance. If battery life matters more than speed, this makes sense.

Specifications

  • Display: 6.67-inch Super AMOLED, 90Hz, FHD+
  • Chipset: MediaTek Dimensity 6300
  • Memory/Storage: 6GB/128GB
  • OS/UI: One UI 6.1 based on Android 15
  • Rear Camera: 50MP main + 5MP ultrawide + 2MP macro
  • Front Camera: 13MP
  • Battery and Charging: 5000mAh, 25W charging
  • Colors: Gravity Blue, Sunrise Orange
  • Price in Nepal: NPR 26,999 (6/128GB)

2. Redmi Note 14 4G

Ranking at no 2 is the Redmi Note 14 4G.  And the battery life on the Note 14 4G is solid—easily a full day of heavy use, sometimes stretching to a day and a half with lighter usage. The 33W charging takes about an hour to fill up completely. Performance feels smooth for everyday tasks like social media, messaging, and streaming videos. The MediaTek Helio G99 Ultra (6nm) isn’t the fastest chip around, but it’s efficient and rarely stutters during normal use.

The 108MP main camera takes decent photos in good lighting, though ultrawide shots lack detail and the macro lens is mostly useless. The 20MP front camera handles selfies well. HyperOS is cleaner than MIUI used to be, with fewer ads and unnecessary features. The AMOLED display looks good with accurate colors and decent brightness outdoors. Build quality is typical Xiaomi—plastic but sturdy enough. It’s not exciting, but nothing major goes wrong either. Sometimes predictable reliability is exactly what you want.

Specifications

  • Display: 6.67-inch AMOLED, 120Hz, FHD+ resolution
  • Chipset: Mediatek Helio G99 Ultra (6nm)
  • Memory/Storage: 6GB/128GB, 8GB/128GB variants
  • OS/UI: HyperOS based on Android 14
  • Rear Camera: 108MP main + 2MP ultrawide + 2MP macro
  • Front Camera: 20MP
  • Battery and Charging: 5500mAh, 33W fast charging
  • Colors: Midnight Black, Lime Green, Ocean Blue, Mist Purple

1. Infinix Hot 60 Pro+

infinix Hot 60 Pro+

The Hot 60 Pro+ has the best display we’ve seen at this price point. That curved AMOLED running at 144Hz looks genuinely impressive – colors are vibrant, blacks are deep, and scrolling feels smooth. At 5.95mm thickness, it’s surprisingly thin while still packing a 5160mAh battery. The build quality feels solid, though the camera bump is quite prominent. Gaming works well enough with the Helio G200, handling PUBG Mobile at medium settings without major frame drops.

Camera performance is inconsistent though. Sometimes photos come out detailed and well-balanced, other times they’re oversharpened with weird color processing. Portrait mode works better than expected, but low-light shots often turn mushy. The MediaTek processor handles daily tasks fine, but heavy multitasking can cause some lag. XOS 15 has improved from previous versions but still feels bloated compared to stock Android. Six color options is nice, though some are quite loud.

Specifications

  • Display: 6.78-inch curved AMOLED, 144Hz, 1224 x 2720 pixels
  • Chipset: MediaTek Helio G200
  • Memory/Storage: 8GB/128GB
  • OS/UI: Android 15 with XOS 15
  • Rear Camera: 48MP main (details on other lenses vary)
  • Front Camera: 13MP
  • Battery and Charging: 5160mAh with fast charging
  • Colors: Sleek Black, Titanium Silver, Coral Tides, Misty Violet, Sonic Yellow, Moco Cyber Green

The new Moondrop Space Travel 2 Ultra has planar-magnetic drivers

Moondrop announced the Space Travel 2 earbuds not too long ago. It’s the successor to the extremely popular “Moondrop Space Travel” budget earbuds, which brought some meaningful upgrades like longer battery life. But just a couple of weeks later, the company has dropped the Space Travel 2 Ultra with some interesting improvements. So without further ado, let’s take a closer look at everything the Moondrop Space Travel 2 Ultra is packing, including its expected price in Nepal.

Moondrop Space Travel 2 Ultra Overview

Design and audio

As expected, the Space Travel 2 Ultra has this unique case design with a transparent chassis and no lid to properly hold the earbuds.

There’s also some space-themed design going on in the charging case, while you can only get these in-ear earbuds in a single grayish color option. The one thing that kinda sucks is that the Space Travel 2 Ultra still doesn’t have any form of IP rating.

Moondrop Space Travel 2 Ultra design

The audio quality is where things get interesting since Moondrop has used a new 13mm annular single-magnetic planar driver with stronger N55 magnets. To compare, the original Space Travel 2 uses a more common 13mm dynamic driver + N52 magnet combo.

And without going too deep inside the rabbit hole, this should mean the Ultra version has better bass response, besides everything else. At least in theory. You can also customize its audio quality and other settings from the official Moondrop app.

To make matters even easier, there’s even the option to just select the target response curve you want right from the app. And if you are not happy with that either, Moondrop’s “AI Yuki Beta 0.1” feature can even adapt to a different sound profile based on what kind of music you’re listening to.

Moreover, Space Travel 2 Ultra is the only one in its lineage to support high-res LDAC codec as well. That means you will be able to stream up to 24-bit/96 kHz audio from these earbuds. Other than this, it has the same 55ms low-latency mode

Noise cancellation

Interestingly enough, Moondrop has gone with a feedforward-only approach to active noise cancellation (ANC) on these earbuds.

Moondrop Space Travel 2 Ultra - Noise cancellation

Moondrop says hybrid ANC with both feedforward and feedback mics can affect bass response, which requires further engineering, thus complicating the overall performance.

And according to the company, it has managed to achieve 36% better ANC versus the original Space Travel. There’s also a dedicated AI-powered Neural Processing Unit (NPU) to cut down the ambient noise during phone calls. That being said, a single-mic solution has us worried about its call quality anyway.

Battery life and the rest

And getting to battery life, the Space Travel 2 Ultra is rated to last up to 7 hours with the earbuds alone. Or a full day with the charging case included.

Moondrop Space Travel 2 Ultra dual-connectivity feature

Other than this, these Moondrop earbuds have touch controls to handle everything from media playback to ANC and transparency mode. The Space Travel 2 Ultra is also among the few earbuds in the market with the latest Bluetooth 6.0 connectivity. And we also love the fact that you can connect it to two devices at once.

Moondrop Space Travel 2 Ultra Specifications:

  • Design: In-ear fit, No IP rating
  • Audio: 13mm annular single-magnetic planar driver
  • Codecs: SBC, ACC, LDAC
  • Active Noise Cancellation: Feedforward-only ANC system
  • Connectivity: Bluetooth 6.0, Multipoint connection support
  • Battery: 35mAh (earbuds), 380mAh (case)
  • Music playtime: 7 hours (earbuds, AAC), 24 hours (with case, AAC)
  • Companion app: Moondrop (Android | iOS)

Moondrop Space Travel 2 Ultra Price in Nepal and Availability

In the international market, these earbuds cost USD 39.99. And although it won’t be available in Nepal through an official channel, we expect the price of the Moondrop Space Travel 2 Ultra here to be around NPR 6,999 when it arrives via third-party importers.

The Hot 60 Pro keeps things simple with a 6.6mm profile and plastic back instead of the Pro+’s premium materials. You’re still getting that 5160mAh battery and 144Hz AMOLED display, but this one ditches the curved edges and drops down to IP64 rating. The microSD slot makes a comeback here, which is nice if you need extra storage beyond the 128GB or 256GB options. Camera-wise, it’s just a straightforward 50MP main shooter and 13MP selfie cam – no auxiliary lenses or JBL audio tuning like the Pro+. MediaTek’s Helio G200 handles performance with 8GB RAM, and you’re getting the same 45W charging that hits 50% in 22 minutes.

5. Infinix Hot 60 Pro +

At 5.95mm thick and just 155 grams, the Hot 60 Pro+ manages to pack a 5160mAh battery into a surprisingly slim profile. The curved 6.78-inch AMOLED display runs at 144Hz with 1600 nits brightness, which is pretty solid for this segment. Performance comes from MediaTek’s Helio G200 with 8GB RAM, which should handle everyday tasks fine, though they ditched the microSD slot this time around. The 50MP main camera uses Sony’s IMX882 sensor, and they threw in JBL-tuned stereo speakers because why not. Battery life should be excellent with 45W charging hitting 50% in 22 minutes, plus there’s 10W reverse charging if you need to juice up your earbuds. It’s running Android 15 with XOS 15.1, and despite being incredibly thin, they managed IP65 rating and 1.5-meter drop protection – decent engineering for what’s likely going to be a budget-friendly device.

6. Infinix Note 50s

Infiinix Note 50s Design

Infinix recently dropped the Note 50s and they’ve gone completely wild with this one – the Marine Drift Blue version literally has a scented back that changes smell intensity based on how you use the phone. I mean, we’ve seen RGB lighting, we’ve seen crazy camera bumps, but a phone that smells different depending on your usage patterns? That’s genuinely bizarre and kind of fascinating at the same time. Beyond the whole fragrance gimmick, you’re actually getting solid specs – a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with 144Hz, MediaTek’s Dimensity 7300 Ultimate chip, 64MP main camera with Sony’s IMX682 sensor, and a chunky 5,500mAh battery with 45W charging. Plus it’s got IP64 rating and military-grade durability, so at least it won’t break when people inevitably want to smell-test it constantly.

Infinix Note 50s Specifications:

  • Display: 6.78-inch AMOLED, FHD+, 144Hz refresh rate, 1,300 nits peak brightness, Gorilla Glass 5
  • Chipset: MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Ultimate (4nm)
  • Memory: 8/256GB
  • Software and UI: Android 15 with XOS 15
  • Rear cameras: 64MP f/1.7 main (Sony IMX682) + 2MP f/2.4 macro
  • Front camera: 13MP f/2.2 (hole-punch cutout)
  • Battery: 5,500mAh, 45W wired charging, bypass charging, 10W reverse wired charging
  • Price in Nepal: NPR 31,999

7. Infinix GT 20 Pro

The  GT 20 Pro is among the most premium Infinix phones you could find in Nepal. Since it belongs to the company’s “GT” lineup, there’s a special emphasis in terms of gaming. Which is why the GT 20 Pro has a powerful MediaTek Dimensity 8200 Ultimate chip, alongside a separate “Pixelworks X5 Turbo” display processor for a smoother gaming experience.

Infinix GT 20 Pro Design and Display

As you can see, it’s got quite a loud design language as well. Especially thanks to those colorful LED lights at the back, similar to what we’ve seen on Nothing phones. Display-wise, you’re looking at a big 6.78-inch AMOLED panel with a 144Hz refresh rate and up to 1300 nits of peak brightness.

It’s got a triple camera setup at the back, although that optically stabilized 108MP main sensor is the only one worth talking about. Whereas the Infinix GT 20 Pro gets its juice from a big 5000mAh battery that supports 45W charging.

Infinix GT 20 Pro Specifications:

  • Display: 6.78-inch AMOLED, FHD+, 144Hz refresh rate
  • Chipset: MediaTek Dimensity 8200 Ultimate (4nm mobile platform)
  • Memory: 12GB RAM, 256GB storage (expandable)
  • Software & UI: XOS 14 on top of Android 14
  • Rear Camera: Triple (108MP main, 2MP depth, 2MP macro)
  • Front Camera: 32MP sensor (hole-punch)
  • Security: Fingerprint sensor (optical in-display)
  • Battery: 5000mAh with 45W charging
  • Price in Nepal: Rs. 47,999 (12+256GB)

8. Infinix GT 30 Pro

Following up with the success of last year’s GT 20 Pro, the new Infinix GT 30 Pro is now available in Nepal as well. And compared to its predecessor, it has a more powerful Dimensity 8350 Ultra (4nm) processor, a completely new design, and even a couple of shoulder triggers to really enhance your mobile gaming experience. And Infinix also says the L/R virtual triggers have a quick 520Hz response rate.

Infinix GT 30 Pro Design

What’s interesting is that besides in-game controls, these can also launch different shortcuts like opening the camera app or controlling the media playback. The GT 30 Pro has a 13% larger vapor chamber for better heat dissipation, too. And since it also supports bypass charging, you can continue your gaming sessions without worrying about the phone heating up excessively.

Besides gaming, the Infinix GT 30 Pro carries a 6.78-inch 144Hz AMOLED display, like last year. But this one’s protected by Corning’s Gorilla Glass 7i for a better peace of mind. Whereas Infinix has also bumped the IP rating from IP54 on the GT 20 Pro to IP64 this time. And we also that this thing now has an ultrawide camera and even wireless charging!

Infinix GT 30 Pro Specifications:

  • Display: 6.78-inch AMOLED, FHD+, 144Hz refresh rate
  • Chipset: MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Ultimate (4nm mobile platform)
  • Memory: 8/12GB RAM, 256GB storage (expandable)
  • Software & UI: XOS 15 on top of Android 15
  • Rear Camera: Dual (108MP main, 8MP ultrawide)
  • Front Camera: 13MP sensor (hole-punch)
  • Security: Fingerprint sensor (optical in-display)
  • Battery: 5500mAh with 45W charging
  • Price in Nepal: Rs. 47,999 (8+256GB)

9. Infinix GT 30 5G+

Infinix GT 30 5G+ Design

After the launch of the GT 30 Pro, Infinix has also launched a new device, which is much more cheaper and features a shoulder trigger as well. By shoulder trigger, you might have already guessed that it is indeed a gaming device for anyone who is looking for a gaming device under a much cheaper price. Similarly, the device features a big 6.78 inch AMOLED display with 144Hz refresh rate. The only variant that is available in Nepal is the 8GB/256GB one, but the device packs the Dimensity 7400 chipset, which is decent for gaming purpose, but in my opinion, since they have labeled it as a”gaming phone”, it should have much higher performing chipset. he chipset is paaired with sole variant of 8GB/256GB memory.  But, you can’t expect everything all at once, for a device that doesn’t even cost 40k. Anyway, you get a 5500 mAh battery with 45W charging and a bypass charging as well.

Infinix GT 30 5G+ Specifications:

  • Display: 6.78-inch AMOLED, 144Hz, 1.5K resolution, 1,600 nits (HBM), 4,500 nits (HDR) peak brightness
  • Processor: MediaTek Dimensity 7400 (4nm)
  • Memory: 8GB LPDDR5X RAM, 256GB UFS 2.2 storage
  • Rear Cameras: 64MP main + 8MP ultrawide
  • Front Camera: 13MP (hole-punch cutout)
  • Battery: 5,500mAh with 45W fast charging
  • OS: Android 15 with XOS 15
  • Special features: Gaming shoulder triggers, in-display fingerprint
  • Protection: IP64 rating
  • Connectivity: 5G, Bluetooth 5.4, WiFi 6, IR blaster

Redmi 15 4G launched with a massive 7,000mAh battery and a 144Hz display

0

Xiaomi just dropped the Redmi 15 4G in Nepal, and it seems like they’re going all-in on battery life with a whopping 7,000mAh battery- the largest they’ve ever put in a global smartphone. This article will discuss everything about the latest Redmi 15 4G, including its price in Nepal, specifications, and availability.

Redmi 15 4G Overview

Display and Design

One thing to look out for here is the refresh rate; you’re getting a huge 6.9-inch Full HD+ screen and 288Hz touch sampling with 144Hz of refresh rate. Similarly, another interesting thing is that Xiaomi has added Wet Touch Technology 2.0, which means the screen actually works properly when your fingers are wet.

Snapdragon 685 Chipset

More often than not, budget phones struggle with this, so it’s a nice touch. As for the design, the Redmi 15 phone comes in three colors: Ripple Green, Titan Gray, and Midnight Black.

Performance and Software

We had previously noted that the Redmi 15 would be powered by the Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 processor, but the one available in Nepal is a 4G variant with a less powerful Snapdragon 685 chip instead. You can get this budget phone in either 6/128GB or 8/256GB configurations.

Meanwhile, the phone runs on Xiaomi’s HyperOS 2.0 based on Android 15, plus virtual RAM expansion up to 16GB if you need the extra headroom.

Battery life champion

Okay, so here’s the main event – that 7,000mAh battery. This thing should easily last two days of normal use, maybe even more if you’re not a heavy user. Yeah, 33W charging is still the same wattage we have been seeing in the last couple of years in this series. It’s a real bummer that they aren’t willing to improve the charging speed anytime soon.

But they have also included 18W reverse charging, so you can juice up other devices in a pinch. All things considered, this is clearly a good sign that most smartphones are moving in a good direction, focusing on batteries. I really hope Samsung does the same as well.

Camera and other features

Redmi 15 5G

The camera setup is – 50MP main sensor with an unspecified auxiliary lens, plus an 8MP front camera.  Security is handled by a side-facing fingerprint sensor, and you get IP64 water resistance for basic protection. Audio gets Hi-Res Audio and Dolby Atmos support.  They packed in some AI tricks too – Circle to Search, AI Eraser, AI Sky, and Dynamic Shots. These are becoming standard on most Xiaomi phones now, so it’s good to see them trickle down to budget devices.

Redmi 15 4G Specifications

  • Display: 6.9-inch Full HD+, 144Hz, 288Hz touch sampling, Wet Touch Technology 2.0
  • Processor: Snapdragon 685 (6nm)
  • RAM: 6GB/ 8GB (expandable up to 16GB virtual)

Redmi 15C is official in Nepal with a 6000mAh battery

0

Xiaomi’s budget lineup just got more interesting as the Redmi 15C gets official in Nepal with a massive 6000 mAh battery. This article will discuss everything about the latest Redmi 15C, including its official price in Nepal, specifications, and availability.

Redmi 15C Overview

Display and Design

You’re getting a pretty large 6.9-inch IPS LCD screen with a surprisingly 120Hz refresh rate. The display has that classic waterdrop notch design.

Redmi 15C design and display

Meanwhile, at 173 x 81 x 8.2mm and 205 grams, the Redmi 15C is not exactly lightweight, but that’s expected with the bigger battery inside. The phone comes in four color options: Midnight Gray, Blue, Green, and Twilight Orange.

Performance and Storage

At its core is the MediaTek Helio G81-Ultra processor paired with up to 8GB RAM and up to 256GB of storage. It should be obvious that the G81-Ultra is not a performance-centric phone, or even a gaming device, if you will, but for basic apps and light gaming, I think it’ll do the job.

Camera Setup

Xiaomi has gone with a 50MP main camera on the back of the Redmi 15C, plus a second sensor that hasn’t been detailed yet. Up front, there’s a 13MP selfie camera sitting in that waterdrop notch.

Battery and Charging

And the biggest highlight of the Redmi 15C is definitely its massive 6000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. That’s a huge upgrade from the previous model’s 5160mAh battery and 18W charging. Xiaomi claims it’ll last up to 77 hours on a single charge and retain 80% capacity after 1,000 charging cycles.

You’re also getting a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, NFC support, and an IP64 rating for dust and water resistance.

Redmi 15C Specifications

  • Display: 6.9-inch IPS LCD, 120Hz refresh rate, waterdrop notch
  • Processor: MediaTek Helio G81
  • RAM: 4GB

Infinix GT 30 5G launched in Nepal with gaming shoulder triggers

Infinix just dropped the GT 30 5G in Nepal, its latest midrange gaming phone. And this guy has a bunch of cool features like dedicated shoulder triggers and a 144Hz AMOLED display. Now, let’s read this article, where I will discuss everything about the latest Infinix GT 30 5G, including its official price in Nepal, specifications, and availability.

Infinix GT 30 5G Overview:

Display and gaming features

You’re getting a massive 6.78-inch AMOLED screen with a 144Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling. The peak brightness hits 1,600 nits (HBM), which is pretty wild for this price range. And it is also protected by Gorilla Glass 7i.

Infinix GT 30 5G+

One interesting thing worth noting about this device is that it actually includes dedicated shoulder triggers, which is something you’d usually find on phones costing twice as much. As you can see from the image above, it also has customizable lights at the back.

And if you are wondering about what “Shoulder triggers” I mean here, then, to simply put, it’s a capacitive button positioned on the sides of the phone that works like shoulder buttons found on game console controllers. The display also packs 2304Hz PWM dimming, and if you’re into BGMI, it supports 90fps gameplay, which is solid.

Performance and software

At its core is the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 SoC paired with 8GB LPDDR5X RAM. While storage also comes with a sole option of 256GB (UFS 2.2). As I already mentioned before, the performance of the GT 30 5G should be smooth for most games.

You’re getting Android 15 with XOS 15 on top, so at least the software is current. And to keep things nice and cool, Infinix has also included a 3D vapor chamber cooling system on this phone.

Camera and battery

Then again, the camera setup on the Infinix GT 30 5G is clearly not a flagship or anything. With a 64MP main (Sony IMX682), an 8MP ultrawide, and a 13MP front shooter. They’re clearly not trying to compete with camera phones here, given the gaming focus.

Infinix GT 30 5G Plus design

Battery life should be decent with the 5,500mAh capacity, plus 45W fast charging is pretty decent as well. To make sure the phone doesn’t heat up that much when you’re playing some games while keeping it plugged in, it also supports bypass charging.

Build and connectivity

For security, the Infinix GT 30 5G has an in-display fingerprint scanner. Whereas the company has also onboarded stereo speakers and an IP64 rating for basic water resistance for this phone. Connectivity options include Bluetooth 5.4, WiFi 6, and they even threw in an IR blaster.

Infinix GT 30 5G Specifications:

  • Display: 6.78-inch AMOLED, 144Hz, 1.5K resolution, 1,600 nits (HBM), 4,500 nits (HDR) peak brightness
  • Processor: MediaTek Dimensity 7400 (4nm)
  • Memory: 8GB LPDDR5X RAM, 256GB UFS 2.2 storage
  • Rear Cameras: 64MP main + 8MP ultrawide
  • Front Camera: 13MP (hole-punch cutout)
  • Battery: 5,500mAh with 45W fast charging
  • OS: Android 15 with XOS 15

  • Protection: IP64 rating

Samsung Galaxy A17 5G review: Anything new?

Today we have the new Samsung Galaxy A17 5G with us. This phone is the successor to last year’s popular A16 5G. In fact, the A16 was one of the best-selling phones in Nepal last year. The A17 5G starts at NPR 29,000 in Nepal. Looking at the specs, Samsung has improved certain aspects, though in some areas it could have been better. Overall, the phone shows a balance of improvements and minor compromises. Now, without further ado, let’s dive in this review article to discuss everything we experienced using this device.

Samsung Galaxy A17 Specifications

  • Display: 6.7-inch Super AMOLED, FHD+, 90Hz, 1,100 nits, Gorilla Glass Victus
  • Processor: Samsung Exynos 1330
  • RAM: 4GB / 8GB
  • Storage: 128GB / 256GB (expandable via microSD)
  • Rear Camera: 50MP (OIS) + 5MP ultrawide + 2MP macro
  • Front Camera: 13MP
  • Battery: 5,000mAh, 25W charging
  • OS: One UI 7 (Android 15)
  • Protection: IP54 rating
  • Colors: Black, Blue, Gray

Samsung Galaxy A17 5G Review

Design and Build

Starting with design, Samsung has done a good job with the look and hands-on feel. Earlier, budget A-series phones usually came with a plastic back, but now the A17 features a glass back. The design resembles the A35 and A55 series, and the overall feel is premium for a budget phone. The display protection is strong, featuring Gorilla Glass Victus, and it also has an IP54 dust and water resistance rating. While IP67 would have been better, it’s still a solid improvement.

The phone retains a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, which is fast and positioned comfortably, even for users with smaller hands. In terms of design and build quality, I would rate this phone highly.

Display

Galaxy A17 5G multitasking

There are no major upgrades on the display side. It has the same 6.7-inch Super AMOLED screen, supporting a 90 Hz refresh rate and 800 nits brightness. A 120 Hz refresh rate would have offered a slightly smoother experience.

The phone still features a tear-drop notch, which feels outdated for a phone priced around NPR 30,000. Despite that, the display quality is good, though the notch slightly affects the visual experience. The A17 has a single speaker, not stereo, but it is loud enough, so there’s no major issue.

Performance

Galaxy A17 5G performance

The significant drawback is that the phone uses the Exynos 1330 chipset, also found in the A14 5G from three years ago. Samsung has optimized it over the years, but it cannot be called a powerful chipset. It’s sufficient for social media, calls, and messaging, but not for heavy tasks.

For gaming, this phone is not suitable. Games like PUBG run at around 30 fps, and Mobile Legends can reach up to 90 fps, but with occasional stutters. Users wanting a smoother gaming experience should consider options from brands like Nothing or Infinix, which offer better performance-focused phones.

Samsung’s saving grace is its software. The phone receives Android and security updates for up to six years. One UI is user-friendly, feature-rich, and easy to navigate even for first-time smartphone users.

There is some bloatware, particularly the “App Cloud” app, which collects personal information such as gender and cannot be uninstalled.

Camera

Samsung rarely disappoints in camera performance, and the A17 delivers decent photos. The camera specs are largely the same as the A16, but the main camera now includes OIS (optical image stabilization).

Being a budget phone, moving objects may not always be perfectly sharp, but regular photos are crisp with good color reproduction.

Even in slightly gloomy weather, the phone produces vibrant, eye-catching photos. Portraits are pleasing, although there is no 2x zoom option for portrait mode. Selfies are also good.

The ultra-wide camera is only 5MP, but it delivers decent detail and color if zooming is avoided.

Night photos using night mode balance exposure and sharpness well, though sometimes the images can appear slightly hazy or bluish.

For video, the phone supports up to 1080p recording. With EIS (electronic image stabilization), the footage is stable, though detail is limited. For casual video recording, it is good enough.

Battery and Charging

The A17 has a 5,000 mAh battery with good endurance, providing around seven hours of screen-on time under normal usage. The free 25-watt charger can charge the phone fully in about an hour.

Samsung Galaxy A17 5G Review: Pros and Cons

Pros:

  • Premium design
  • Good display
  • Reliable camera
  • Long battery life

Cons:

  • Weak gaming performance
  • Tear-drop notch
  • Single speaker

Samsung Galaxy A17 5G Review: Conclusion

At a price of around NPR 30,000, the Samsung Galaxy A17 5G is a solid choice if you prefer a Samsung phone. For performance-focused users who want to play games, alternatives like the Redmi Note 14 or CMF Phone 1 may be better. However, for normal social media use, calls, and good camera quality, the A17 is a reliable option. The 8GB variant offers slightly better performance.

Vivo V60 review: Best phone under 70k?

If you didn’t know, Vivo’s V-series gets updated every 6 months! V40 came a year ago, V50 six months ago, and that’s one of the reasons Vivo’s V-series is getting quite popular in Nepal — in the 60–70 thousand NPR premium midrange category. And in India as well, Vivo is currently the No.1 brand in terms of volume sales, selling more phones than Samsung. And Vivo’s recent flagship phone, the X200 Pro… that phone is currently the best camera phone for the price!

And with this phone, the V60, Vivo has brought some really nice upgrades — especially in the camera department! I’ll explain all of this in the article. Let’s dive in!

Vivo V60 Specifications:

  • Design and build: 163.53 x 76.96 x 7.53 – 7.75 mm, 192 – 201 gm
  • Color options: Mist Gray, Auspicious Gold, Moonlit Blue

Vivo V60 Review

Camera

Okay, the biggest upgrade in the Vivo V60 this time is in the camera! It has a 3X periscope zoom lens — the first time in the Vivo V-series! While the zoom lens can take photos at 3X, 5X, and 10X, the main advantage of the 3X lens is for portraits.

In Portrait mode, you can now shoot at different focal lengths. The main camera offers 23mm, 35mm, and 50mm modes, while the 3X periscope camera gives 85mm and 100mm modes. Photos taken at 85mm and 100mm are excellent — much better than what you get on phones in this price range like the Galaxy A56 or OnePlus Nord 5.

Additionally, this phone has Zeiss optimization like Vivo’s flagship phones, so skin tones in portraits are accurate, and the blur effect is excellent! It’s obviously not as strong as the X200 Pro, but for a midrange phone, the Vivo V60 can take amazing portraits. Even in low light, I got really good portrait shots. There are also different portrait modes such as Wedding, B/W, and Festival modes, allowing creative flexibility for different types of portraits.

Another upgrade is the selfie camera. Selfies are very wide, and there’s a 0.8X mode, which is helpful for group selfies. Even when vlogging, you don’t need to stretch your arm — the field of view is excellent. Vivo is also one of the few brands whose selfie camera has autofocus and good skin tone/highlight management. So selfies are definitely much better than the competition.

Considering the price, the main 50MP camera takes great photos with good details and dynamic range — both during the day and at night. Most of my photos were taken in Zeiss mode, which produces natural colors. If you prefer more vibrant photos, you can use Zeiss Vivid mode.

The downside of the camera this time is the ultra-wide (U/W) camera. The V40 and V50 had 50MP U/W cameras, but the V60 has an 8MP U/W camera. Its output is not that great — details are limited, dynamic range is compromised, and you can only record video in Full HD, with no 4K option.

Similarly, for main camera videography, considering the price, it could perform better. There’s no 4K at 60fps, and 4K 30fps videos are just okay, nothing extraordinary. But overall, camera-wise, this is the best camera phone under 70,000 NPR.

Design

Okay, the camera is good, but at 70,000 NPR, how do other aspects perform? Let’s start with design and display. Design-wise, Vivo gives a clean setup. The camera module looks like the X200 FE, which I like more than the large module on the Vivo V50.

The phone has a 6500mAh battery but isn’t too heavy. It has IP68 + IP69 rating, which is more robust than the IP65/67 ratings found on Samsung, OnePlus, or Nothing phones. Vivo claims the phone can survive 120 minutes underwater vs. 30 minutes on other phones — so durability is solid. However, it doesn’t feel super premium because the back and frame are plastic. Dropping it may leave minor dents, so a cover is recommended.

Display

vivo v60 display

Display-wise, I have no major complaints. It has a good AMOLED screen, bright enough for outdoors (up to ~1500 nits in auto mode). HDR10 works well for Netflix and YouTube, optical fingerprint sensor is fast, auto-brightness works well, and touch response is smooth.

Vivo improved vibration feedback, though it’s not as good as OPPO or OnePlus haptics. Overall, display is a solid A-minus.

Performance

vivo v60 ui

Performance is slightly weak for the price. It uses Snapdragon 7 Gen 4, which is an upgrade from the SD 7 Gen 3 in the Vivo V50, but it’s not the fastest in this price range. Base RAM is 12GB, so normal use is smooth, but it doesn’t feel as fast as the OnePlus Nord 5. For gaming, PUBG runs at 60fps, but heavier games like Genshin Impact only reach 30fps. Heating is not an issue, which is good.

Software

vivo v60 ui

Vivo’s software experience isn’t as smooth as OnePlus, Samsung, or Nothing phones, but it’s usable and improving. AI features are included, and the company promises 4 years of software updates. The UI/UX should get better over time.

Battery

Galaxy A17 5G charging

The phone has a 6500mAh battery with a low-powered processor, so battery life is excellent. Easily lasts 1.5 days. The 90W charger fully charges the phone in roughly 50 minutes.

Vivo V60 Review: Pros and Cons

Pros:

  • Excellent cameras
  • Long-lasting battery with fast charging
  • Bright AMOLED display
  • Durable design

Cons:

  • Weak ultra-wide camera
  • Audio lacks bass
  • Performance not top-tier
  • Plastic body feels cheap

Vivo V60 Review: Conclusion

Overall, considering all aspects and price, the Vivo V60 is hard to beat at 70,000 NPR. It’s better than the Honor 400, Samsung A56, and even OnePlus Nord 5. The specs are balanced, and its portraits and selfies outperform the competition.

Design is good, display is excellent, main camera optimized by Zeiss, and battery life is long-lasting. For Nepal, the Vivo V60 is probably the best choice.

Xiaomi’s HyperOS 3 is here with a lot of iOS inspirations

Just a few days ago, we found out that Xiaomi was gearing up to open the beta testing program for the next version of HyperOS. And now, Xiaomi has officially announced HyperOS 3, based on Android 16, is finally official. So in this article, I’ll be discussing everything you need to know about Xiaomi’s HyperOS 3. Including all devices that will be getting this update.

Xiaomi HyperOS 3 (Android 16) is here

The president of Xiaomi Group Partner and Mobile Phone Division, Mr. Lu Weibing, said that HyperOS 3 is now a new starting point of Xiaomi’s operating system development. This fresh phase focuses on making the system smoother, more responsive, and more intuitive for its users.

What is new in HyperOS 3?

Xiaomi says its latest take on Android has some significant optimization in terms of performance as well. Besides smoother animations across the system, HyperOS 3 reportedly reduces app load time by 21%.

Gamers can expect an even better experience here with 15% better 1% low fps and 9% lower power draw as well.

The new Super Island

Besides all those under-the-hood optimizations, HyperOS 3 brings a lot of iOS-inspired features too.

Super Island in Xiaomi HyperOS 3

Like Xiaomi’s take on Apple’s Dynamic Island, called “Super Island”, which offers contextual information about real-time app activities. But unlike iOS, Super Island remains active in the notification panel as well.

Xiaomi HyperOS 3 - MacBook and iPad Sync

Whereas HyperOS 3-powered smartphones will work a lot better with different Apple devices, too. You will be able to run your Xiaomi phone’s app directly on your iPad or MacBook, and even share images and sync notifications between your Xiaomi phone and an iPhone.

Other changes

Xiaomi has also introduced a notable visual refresh across the UI. Including redesigned app and status bar icons, and better notification organization. The company has also updated the “Dynamic Wallpaper” we first saw on HyperOS 2 (Android 15) to add more cinematic depth effects and better lockscreen customization.

The one new feature that caught my eye is HyperOS 3’s offline positioning, which should let you find supported devices when it’s offline or switched off.

Which devices will get the Xiaomi HyperOS 3 update?

And if you wanna get a taste of HyperOS 3 yourself, the good news is Xiaomi has already listed all the devices that will be eligible to enroll in its beta program from August 29. They are:

August 29
