Lenovo announced Legion 5i Pro with the new Intel Tiger lake-H mobile processors and RTX 30-series GPUs from NVIDIA last year. The “i” in the 5i distinguishes it from the Legion 5 Pro with Ryzen processors. Design and Display

Legion 5i Pro comes in two colors – Storm Grey and Stingray White. Depending upon the configuration, the thickness of the laptop ranges between 0.86 and 1.1-inches. Also, its lightest variant weighs 2.45 kg.

The top-of-the-line model features RTX 3070 with 8GB GDDR6 VRAM. Irrespective of the SKU, these are Max-Q GPUs and support Advanced Optimus, Resizable BAR, and Dynamic Boost 2.0.

Cooling the system is Lenovo’s Legion Coldfront 3.0 thermal system. It boasts an 18% gen-to-gen boost in airflow. MSI Titan GT77 HX (2023) is the world’s first laptop with 4K 144Hz Mini LED display

At CES 2023, MSI refreshed some of its most popular and powerful laptops. One of them is the MSI Titan GT77 HX, which now includes the latest Intel and Nvidia chips. And it is the world’s first gaming laptop to arrive with a 4K 144Hz Mini LED display. Here, we will go over the specifications, features, availability, and expected price of the MSI Titan GT77 Hx (2023) in Nepal.

Design, Display

The Titan GT77 HX is visually identical to its predecessor. That is an all-black finish with a protrusion behind the display that houses most of the cooling system. The vent is accompanied by RGB Mystic Light, which allows users to create different styles based on their moods. The MSI shield logo on the lid is also RGB-illuminated.

Performance

The MSI Titan GT77 HX is a desktop replacement powered by a 24-core Core i9-13980HX processor. Likewise, users can choose between the RTX 4090 with 16GB GDDR6 VRAM or the RTX 4080 with 12GB GDDR6 VRAM.

Additionally, MSI’s OverBoost Ultra Technology enables all 8 P-cores on the Core i9-13980HX to reach a maximum boost clock of 5.2 GHz for the CPU and 175W for the GPU.

As for the cooling, it comes with a “Titan Cooling” system consisting of four fans, eight pipes, and six exhausts. One of these connecting tubes crosses the CPU and GPU for quick heat dissipation. And the other pipe conducts the heat from the GPU to the cooling fins of the CPU, maximizing performance for both CPU and GPU.

MSI Stealth 14, 16 Studio official with 13th Gen CPUs, RTX-40 series GPUs

At the CES 2023, MSI updated its laptop lineup, including the Stealth Studio lineup. These laptops are aimed at creative professionals, gamers, or anyone that can make use of the latest high-performance hardware in a portable form factor. The 2023 lineup consists of three laptops but will focus on the new MSI Stealth 14 Studio and Stealth 16 Studio, including their official specifications, features, expected price, and availability in Nepal.

MSI Stealth 14 Studio Overview:

The Stealth 14 Studio is the most portable of the bunch. It comes with a magnesium-aluminum alloy chassis, available in two two-tone finishes: Pure White and Star Blue. The laptop is 19mm thick and weighs around 1.7 kg.

Performance and Cooling

That said, MSI Stealth 14 Studio packs a lot of punch for its size. You can configure it with up to Intel Core i7-13700H processor. Part of the newly announced “Raptor Lake” mobile lineup, it brings 6 Performance and 8 Efficient cores with a max turbo frequency of 5.0GHz. This should bring a 15% performance uplift from the last-gen Intel Core i7-12700H, as per MSI.

There are three major configurations of the Stealth 14 Studio based on SKUs of the new RTX 40-series mobile GPU that MSI has used. The base variant has the RTX 4070, while there are options for RTX 4060 and RTX 4070. All the GPUs are limited to 90W of TGP because of the compact form factor.

And with the addition of the MUX switch, users now connect the discrete GPU directly to the 14” IPS panel, which the company offers in 240Hz QHD and 165Hz FHD flavors. To keep up with the heat generated by the 13th Gen Intel and RTX 40-series combo, MSI has included an active cooling setup with a vapor chamber.

The audio setup on the MSI Stealth 14 consists of a Dynaudio-tuned 4-way setup with two 2W speakers and two 2W woofers. The HD webcam features an IR sensor for Window Hello authentication and a privacy shutter. With the inclusion of the Steelseries Per-key RGB keyboard users have the option to personalize the lighting.

Coming to I/O, MSI has included 1x Thunderbolt 4, 2x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C, 1x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A, 1x HDMI, and 1x audio combo jack. Powering the laptop is a 72Whr battery, and a 240W adapter tags along. You can even use USB-C ports for PD charging at 100W.

MSI Stealth 16 Studio Overview:

Next up, we have the new MSI Stealth 16 Studio. It is pretty much the Stealth 14 Studio, but without the limitation brought by the small size. The increase in the chassis allows the Stealth 16 to sport a display. The base and the top-end display choices remain the same. But you get a 120Hz UHD+ option in between.

Moving on, the Stealth 16 Studio packs more power than its 14” sibling. To start, it is configurable with up to Intel Core i9-13900H, which boasts similar specs as the 13700H but has higher burst frequencies. The chip is paired with either RTX 4060 or RTX 4070 GPU paired at a higher 105W TGP.

To keep up with the added performance, this one comes with the new Cooler Boost 5 cooling technology. It consists of two fans and five heat pipes, with two shared between the CPU and GPU. The audio is also better since it has a 6-way speaker setup with two more woofers. MSI has also utilized the bigger chassis by adding an RJ45 and a MicroSD card reader. The battery is also bigger at 99.9WHr.

MSI’s new router can follow you around your house

We’ve all been there, trying to stream our favorite show or get some work done, but the WiFi connection keeps dropping. Looks like MSI has heard our pleas with their new innovative router. Dubbed the MSI RadiX BE22000 Turbo, the router comes with antennas that can follow your device as you move around your home. The Radix BE22000 comes with top-of-the-line specifications to ensure the fastest wireless speed possible. It has WiFi 7 support and MSI AI QoS technology to reduce ping while gaming or to prioritize different types of content. Likewise, with a channel bandwidth of 320MHz, the company claims that it can deliver 4x faster throughput compared to Wi-Fi 6 router.

But the real showstopper of this router is its dynamic antenna tracking feature, which allows the router to follow specific devices as you move around your house; ensuring that you have the best connection possible. If you’re wondering how this mechanism works, the antennas are equipped with a motor that allows them to move.

However, as with any new technology, there are a few hurdles to be aware of. One question that might come to mind is how does the router identify which device to follow? There could (or will) be multiple devices in the house. MSI must also ensure that the antenna motors can withstand months and years of operation.

As Sam Rutherford of Engadget, “ he noticed the speed at which its antennas moved became a bit sluggish due to increased heat.” Furthermore, the company has yet to finalize the router’s Wi-Fi specifications as well.

MSI Radix BE22000 Turbo Price and Availability

Although the MSI Radix BE22000 Turbo router looks promising, it is still a long way from being a fully functional home device. As a result, MSI plans to hold off on selling the router until 2024. VivoBook Pro 16X 3D OLED unveiled with Asus’s glasses-free 3D technology

In this article, we will discuss the specs, features, expected price, and availability of the new Asus VivoBook Pro 16x 3D OLED in Nepal. It is one of the only two laptops with Spatial Vision — a term coined by Asus for glasses-free autostereoscopic 3D technology and features the latest components by Intel and NVIDIA.

Glass-less 3D Experience

The new VivoBook Pro 16X 3D OLED is the world’s first 3D OLED laptop— a title it shares with a more premium ProArt Studio 16 3D OLED. They both use what Asus calls Spatial Vision. It is an in-house 3D technology that doesn’t need any special glasses or headgear. It seamlessly adds visual depth to the normal 2D content that users can enjoy with their naked eye.

Asus Spatial Vision technology adds multiple optical layers on top of the OLED with optical resin for the 3D effect. This includes a lenticular lens layer and a liquid crystal switching layer—topped up with the AR-coated glass front. The liquid crystal switching layer helps the laptop to switch between 2D and 3D modes. It is the lenticular lens system that creates the 3D effect by directing stereo images separately to the left and right eyes.

Helping this whole setup is an eye-tracking technology. Asus has installed two sensors on the top bezels of the VivoBook Pro 16X 3D OLED that tracks your head movement to optimize Spatial Vision accordingly.

Even without the glasses-less autostereoscopic 3D tech, the display on the VivoBook Pro 16x 3D OLED is a head-turner in its own right. It has a 3.2K OLED screen with a 16:10 aspect ratio for that extra bit of vertical space. The screen refreshes at 120Hz and boasts a 0.2ms response time. It can come in handy for content creators since it has 100% DCI-P3 coverage and Pantone validation. Even for multimedia, it supports Dolby Vision HDR and can get bright up to 550 nits.

Performance and Cooling

Inside it packs the “desktop-grade” Intel Core i9-13980HX— the most powerful processor in the newly announced 13th Gen “Raptor Lake” mobile lineup. It is a 24-core CPU with 8 Performance and 16 Efficient cores. The P-cores support Hyper-threading and boast max turbo frequency of 5.6GHz with Intel TVB technology.
