For performance, Nokia has turned to Unisoc. It’s the Tiger T606 chipset that is running the show from underneath the new Nokia G11 Plus. It’s built on a 12nm process and features two Cortex-A75 performance cores and six Cortex-A55 efficiency cores.

Nokia has paired the chip with up to 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The latter can be expanded up to 512GB using an external microSD card.

Software

Nokia G11 Plus boots on a near-stock Android 12 out of the stock. Since it is part of the Android One program, Nokia is promising two years of major Android updates. In addition, the phone is also eligible for three years of monthly security patches.

Nokia G11 Plus even has Android enterprise-level certification making it suitable for wide implementation.

Camera

Nokia G11 Plus flaunts a dual-camera setup at the back, complete with an LED flash. You get a 50MP primary camera with AutoFocus enabled. Accompanying it is a 2MP depth sensor. Upfront, the waterdrop notch encloses an 8MP selfie camera.

Battery and Charging

Battery endurance has always been a stronghold for Nokia. With the G11 Plus, the company is claiming up to 3 days of battery life. The company has kept the battery size a secret but we expect it to be 5,000mAh or bigger. On the downside, the phone supports just 10W of charging.

Nokia G11 Plus even supports Face Unlock with a mask on. It’s an LTE phone and comes equipped with dual-band Wi-Fi and FM radio.

Asus has finally released the long-awaited ROG Phone 6D and 6D Ultimate. These phones are the Dimensity-powered siblings of the original ROG Phone 6 series with robust cooling. In this article, we will be discussing the official specs, features, and expected price of the Asus ROG Phone 6D series (6D, 6D Ultimate) in Nepal.

Asus ROG Phone 6D Series Overview:

MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ Gaming

The Dimensity 9000+ chipset powers the two Asus ROG 6D series gaming phones. It is an octa-core processor manufactured using a 4nm process. The chip has a Cortex-X2 clocked at 3050 MHz, 3 Cortex-A710 clocked at 2850MHz, and 4 Cortex-A510 with a clock speed of 1800 MHz.

These newer devices use LPDDR5x RAM instead of LPDDR5 RAM. The storage, however, is still UFS 3.1. While the 6D can be configured with up to 16GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, the 6D Ultimate goes up to 512GB of storage.

Display, Design

The displays on the ROG Phone 6D and the 6D Ultimate measure 6.78-inch and utilize OLED technology. The displays are pretty much the same as the ROG Phone 6 lineup with the 10-bit color depth, 165Hz refresh rate, and 720Hz touch sampling rate.

On the contrary, there are quite a few changes in terms of design. The ROG Phone 6D looks similar to the 6 with an RGB illuminated ROG logo on the back. Moving on to the more premium ROG Phone 6D Ultimate, we see a 2-inch secondary OLED screen with tons of customization instead of the illuminated logo.

Camera

Comparing the ROG Phone 6D series to its Snapdragon-powered counterpart, there are no changes in terms of optics. It houses a 50MP primary Sony IMX766 sensor, a 13MP ultrawide, and a 5MP macro camera on the rear. Likewise, the front selfie shooter is a 12MP Sony IMX663 sensor.

AeroActive Portal

The Ultimate variant of the ROG Phone 6D makes cooling interesting with its new “AeroActive Portal” design that blows air directly into the internal heatsink.

The portal acts as a door flap that opens when the bundled AeroActive Cooler 6 is attached to the phone. Thus, the air from the cooler goes into the wind tunnel and hot air is exhausted from the top.

According to ASUS, this cooling method resulted in a 3.4°C lower temperature than the ROG Phone 6 during Perfdog benchmarking on Genshin Impact at 60Hz.

The ROG Phone 6D and 6D Ultimate feature a split-cell design with two 3000mAh batteries. Additionally, the massive 6,000mAh battery supports 65W wired fast charging.

The audio department is handled by a front-facing stereo speaker setup with Dirac HD and a 3.5mm headphone jack with high-res output. In terms of software, the ROG Phones boot on Android 12 with ROG UI / Zen UI on top.

The 12/256GB variant of the Asus ROG Phone 6D is priced at EUR 949 and that of the 16/512GB Ultimate is EUR 1,399. The Asus ROG Phone 6D is expected to sell for around NPR 124,999 in Nepal. Similarly, the Asus ROG Phone 6D Ultimate is expected to retail at around NPR 184,999.

Asus is yet to reveal the price of the phone in other regions. Furthermore, the ROG 6D series will not be sold in North America.
