Motorola unveils Moto Tab G70 LTE with a 11″ 2K display, Helio G90T

Last year, Moto forayed into the Android tablet market with the Tab G20. The company has now followed it with another tablet with improved specs, including a 2K display. In this post, we will be discussing the specs, features, expected price, and availability of the Moto Tab G70 in Nepal.

Moto Tab G70 Overview

Design and Display

Moto Tab G70 is the rebadged version of Lenovo Tab P11 Plus. It sports the same metallic design with a dual-tone finish at the back. The rear panel also houses the circular camera bump at the top left and the iconic batwing logo at the middle.

Overall, the tablet measures 0.29” in thickness and 490 grams in weight. It also has an IP52 water repellent rating.

Over on the front, we have the aforementioned 2K display. It is an 11” IPS LCD panel with 10-point multitouch and brightness of up to 400 nits. Similarly, it is also TUV’s eye comfort certification.

Performance and Memory

Under the hood, Moto Tab G70 brings a significant performance boost over the Tab G20’s Helio P22T. It is powered by Helio G90T, which features two Cortex-A76 performance cores (@2.05 GHz) and six Cortex-A55 cores (@2.0 GHz).

The chip is coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. You can even expand the storage up to 1TB by slotting in an external MicroSD card.

The tablet ships with Android 11 out-of-the-box, and it also has Google’s Kids Space and Entertainment Space pre-installed.

Camera and Audio

The 13MP camera at the back of Moto Tab G70 comes with auto-focus and an LED flashlight. Over on the front, it has an 8MP sensor with a fixed focus to get you through online classes and video calls.

In terms of audio, Motorola has included a quad-speaker setup and thrown in Dolby Atmos support too. The tablet features two microphones with DSP’s Smart Voice.

Feuling the Moto Tab G70 is a 7700mAh battery that boasts 12 hours of continuous offline video playback on a full charge. It supports 20W Rapid Charge via the USB 2.0 Type-C. The port can also be used to connect Type-C headsets as the tablet lacks a 3.5mm headphone jack.

In terms of wireless connectivity, there is support for LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 5.1. There is also a 4-point Pogo pin for the external keyboard.

Moto Tab G70 Price in Nepal and Availability

Moto Tab G70 will go on sale in India starting January 22, with the price listed at INR 21,999. However, it will be available for just INR 21,249 during Flipkart’s Republic Day Sale. At the moment, there is no information about the tablet’s availability outside of India. However, if it launches in Nepal, we expect the price to be NPR 37,500.

It’s already been a few months since Vivo’s Executive Vice President, Hu Baishan, stated that the company is working on an Android tablet. Its specs have now begun to surface on the internet. So, let’s walk through the leaks, rumors, specifications, and features of the upcoming Vivo Pad.

What’s the Moniker?

While we are still unsure about the name of the upcoming Vivo tablet, the business secured a trademark for “Vivo Pad” last year. On the other hand, Vivo’s subrand IQOO is expected to launch a tablet soon. Similarly, as we already know, Oppo, another brand under BBK electronics, is releasing a tablet as well.

Digital Chat Station—a reliable tipster—has leaked the specifications of the upcoming Vivo tablet. It’s powered by a octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor with a maximum clock speed of up to 3.2GHz. To note, this is the same chipset used in the Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro and Lenovo Xiaoxin Pad Pro 2021.

Over on the front, it’s rumored to feature a FHD+ display with 120Hz refresh rate and a punch-hole cutout. However, we still didn’t know the exact screen size yet. Fueling the tablet is a 7,860mAh battery with support for 44W fast charging.

Moreover, the device boots on Android 12 based OriginOS Ocean out of the box. It will also have a feature to cast the screen across various Vivo devices.

It’s still uncertain when Vivo will launch its first tablet. However, if rumor’s are to be trusted, it will be official by the end of first half of 2022.

Samsung Galaxy M33 5G with Exynos 1200 coming soon in Nepal

Samsung has been working on the Galaxy M33 5G for quite some time now. It will be launched as the successor to the last year’s Galaxy M32 5G. While the device has appeared in several listings, new reports suggest it’s production has already been started. So, let’s walk through the leaks, rumors, specifications and features of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy M33 5G.

Samsung Galaxy M33 5G Rumors Roundup:

According to 99mobile’s industry sources, production of the Samsung Galaxy M33 5G has already begun in the company’s Greater Noida facility. Assuming the report is accurate, we expect the launch date of the device to be revealed soon.

Geekbench listing

Anyways, Samsung Galaxy M33 5G has recently been spotted at Geekbench with the model number SM-M336BU. The phone looks to be powered by a new chipset codenamed “s5e8825”. It’s the same chipset that the Galaxy A53 5G was spotted with a week ago.

Moving on, it is widely agreed upon that s5e8825 is the codename for the upcoming Exynos 1200 SoC. According to the rumors, it’s an octa-core chipset with 2 performance (@2.4GHz) and 6 efficiency cores (@2GHz). Similarly, there will be Arm Mali-G68 GPU overlooking the graphics rendering.

This particular unit of Galaxy M33 5G that went through the test featured 6GB of RAM. However, we also expect other memory configurations to be available at launch. Furthermore, the phone will ship with Android 12 -based One UI 4.0 out of the box.

Rebranded A53 5G

Moving on, all the leaks point to Galaxy M33 5G being a rebranded A53 5G. The latter being a premium offering will likely go official first. These two phones’ specs will likely be identical except in some departments like the battery.

Big battery has also been a key feature of the Galaxy M-series. Here, the M33 5G will feature a 6,000mAh battery as revealed by a SafetyKorea certification. On the other hand, A53 5G will settle on a smaller 5,000mAh battery.

Likewise, both phones are rumored to feature a 6.5-inch 120Hz Super AMOLED display, 64MP + 8MP + 5MP + 2MP rear camera and 13MP selfie camera. In addition, we expect A53 5G to have premium features like an official IP rating and OIS camera that M33 5G might miss out on.

The makers of the PinePhone have now launched their first e-book reader tablet. PineNote, which shipped in limited numbers to developers last year, is now more readily available. It’s a Linux-based E-ink tablet, but ships with no Operating System (OS). In this article, we will be discussing the key specs, features, price, and availability of the PineNote E-ink tablet.

No Default OS

PinNote is an e-ink tablet/book-reader from the Pine64 community that is popular for its lineup of Linux-based PinePhone. Like the other products under the brand’s umbrella, PineNote users have complete control over the device, so much so that it doesn’t come with any pre-installed OS.

In other words, it is strictly for enthusiasts or developers that can do with a bootloader. The plan is to run mainline Linux OS and applications on the tablet. Developers are already working on porting Alpine and Debian Linux on PineNote. In addition, we can expect ports for other OS, including NixOS to be available in the future.

In terms of specs, PineNote is arguably the most powerful E-ink device on the market. It comes packed with a Rockship RK3566 processor with four Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 1.8GHz. The chip is paired with 4GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB of eMMC storage.

As for the display, PineNote sports a 10.3″ E-ink panel with a resolution of 1404 x 1872 pixels. This panel has 16 levels of grayscale and even supports the Wacom EMR pen, which comes with the Developer Edition. Technically, you should be able to take notes on the E-ink panel with a compatible stylus, but you should probably wait until it ships with a stable operating system.

Moving on, PinNote is enclosed in a white and black plastic body. It weighs around 438 grams and is 7.4mm thick. You will also get a magnetic cover for free with the Developer Edition.

Fueling the tablet is a 4000mAh battery with support for 15W PD charging. There is a USB Type-C charging port that can also be used for data transmission. In terms of wireless connectivity, PineNote has support for Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.0. Similarly, it also boasts a stereo speaker setup and four microphones.

NetTV has recently launched its new Streamz+ set-top box in Nepal. It’s Nepal’s first Google-certified Android TV box. In this article, we will go through the specifications, features, availability, and price of NetTV Streamz+ in Nepal.

NetTV Streamz+ Overview:

NetTV started as the first IPTV service in Nepal and has grown to become one of the most popular IPTV platforms. Managed by NITV Streamz Pvt. Ltd., it’s also the first to receive a license from the government for the operation of IPTV in the country.

As aforementioned, the NetTV Streamz+ is the first Google-certified Android TV from a Nepali company. The set-top box retains the squared shape design as its existing box—in fact, is a bit more compact and handy.

Samsung Exynos 2200 becomes first smartphone chip with Ray Tracing

After all the controversies, Samsung has finally unveiled the Exynos 2200, its latest flagship smartphone. However, there was no launch event. The chip was quietly announced via a press release. Exynos 2200 debuts with the first RDNA 2-based Xclipse GPU among other new features.

The main highlight of the Exynos 220 chip is its GPU, which I have already mentioned, is based on AMD’s RDNA 2 microarchitecture. Samsung is calling it the Xclipse. Samsung also says that it will put an end to the old era of mobile gaming like an eclipse.

As for the features, Xclipse boasts the first hardware-based Ray Tracing for smartphones. If you are not aware, Ray Tracing promises more realistic lights, reflections, and shadows in games by mimicking the physical properties of light.

Likewise, we are also getting Variable Rate Shading (VSS), which reduces the pressure on GPU by adjusting the shading rates in different regions of the frame. Last year’s Snapdragon 888 was the first smartphone chip to have this feature.

In addition, the Exynos 2200 inherits the Advanced Multi-IP Governer (AMIGO) from its predecessor. It improves the overall performance and efficiency of the processor optimizing power usage of CPU, Xclipse GPU, and other components.

Moving on, Samsung Exynos 2200 makes use of Samsung’s 4nm process and the latest Armv9 CPU architecture. It’s an octa-core CPU with a Cortex-X2 as the prime core. Likewise, Samsung has used three Cortex-A710 performance cores and four power-efficient Cortex-A510 cores.

The Neural Processing Unit (NPU) is also new, enabling more advanced AI features. Samsung says it now has double the performance of its predecessor. Similarly, it now supports 16-bit floating points (FP16) in addition to power-efficient INT8 and INT6.

5G has also been an integral feature of flagship phones since last year. Exynos 2200 features a 3GPP Release 16 5G modem with support for sub-6GHz and faster mmWave bands. In addition, it boasts a maximum speed of up to 10Gbps by utilizing both 4G and 5G bands.

As for photography, Exynos 2200 opens the way for hi-res 200MP smartphone camera sensors. If you recall, Samsung already has a 200MP sensor in the form of ISOCELL HP1. However, we are yet to witness it on any smartphone. Focusing on the Exynos 2200, it can now use four camera sensors concurrently.

Another disappointment on the way?

That being said, Samsung didn’t mention the performance improvement of Exynos 2200 over its predecessor, which is quite unusual for any launch. Moving on, Samsung didn’t even reveal the operating frequency of the CPU and GPU.

According to a leak, the cores have been clocked at 2.8+2.52+1.82GHz, which is lower than both Dimensity 9000 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. Also, Samsung has not even disclosed the performance of the Xclipse GPU, which was rumored to be causing issues.

We all know Samsung is launching the Galaxy Tab S8 series this year. The upcoming Tab S8 series will include three devices – Galaxy Tab S8, Tab S8 Plus, and Tab S8 Ultra. In this article, we will go through the rumors, specifications, features of the Samsung Galaxy Tab Series (Tab S8, S8 Plus, and S8 Ultra).

Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra Rumors:

Design and Display

WinFuture has leaked all the possible specifications of the upcoming Galaxy Tab S8 Series. This time around, we have a Tab S8 Ultra too. The top-tier variant will feature a huge 14.6” Super AMOLED display. The panel sports a 120Hz refresh rate, 2960 x 1848 pixel resolution, Gorilla Glass 5 protection, and a peak brightness of 420 nits. While all the specifications are big and bold, I hope the tablet will boast a maximum brightness of around 1000 nits.

Performance

Over on to the performance side of things, all the three devices in the Tab S8 lineup are rumored to arrive with the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. They will also ship with Android 12-based OneUI 4.1 out of the box. In terms of memory, the Tab S8 Ultra will be configurable with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.

Camera

Moving on, the tablet houses two 12MP selfie cameras on a notch—one primary and an ultrawide sensor. On the back, all three devices are stated to have a 13MP primary lens and a 6MP ultra-wide sensor.

Although we don’t have reliable data for the price of Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra, it’s expected to cost around EUR 1,040 and EUR 1,220.

Moving on, the Galaxy Tab S8+ will have a slightly larger screen than its predecessor, which is 12.7-inch. Again, it’s an sAMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and Gorilla Glass 5 protection. On the other hand, the vanilla Tab S8 will enjoy an 11-inch 120Hz LTPS LCD display.

Likewise, the Tab S8+ and S8 will retail in a sole 8GB RAM variant with 256GB of storage. As for the optics, they will feature a 12MP sensor on the front and a 13MP+ 6MP sensor combo on the back.

Vivo Y21e goes official with Snapdragon 680 4G, 5000mAh battery

Vivo has quietly launched its latest budget phone, the Vivo Y21e in India. In this post, we will be discussing the Vivo Y21e in more detail, including its specs, features, expected price, and availability in Nepal.

Vivo Y21e Overview:

Design and Display

Vivo Y21e sports a 6.51-inches HD+ LCD panel with a waterdrop notch on top. It is enclosed within an all-plastic body that is 8mm thick and weighs 182 grams. The phone ships in two color options: Midnight Blue and Diamond Glow.

Performance and Memory

Under the hood, Vivo Y21e packs the Snapdragon 680 processor. It’s a 4G chipset built on a 6nm process. Likewise, the SoC has been paired with 3GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. Vivo has also thrown in the support for extended RAM here with which the system assigns 0.5GB of internal storage as virtual RAM.
