Here, we will go over the specifications, features, availability, and expected price of the Xiaomi Buds 4 in Nepal.

Xiaomi Buds 4 Overview:

More importantly, there’s still support for Active Noise Cancellation (ANC). However, there’s no mention of the 48dB exclusion rating of their Pro siblings. It is also IP54 dust and water-resistant, so sweat or splashes of water will not harm the buds. On the other hand, the case has a “space capsule” design. It is IPX4 rated against water resistance.

Audio

The Xiaomi Buds 4 feature an 11mm graphene-dual magnetic dynamic driver for audio. It is aided by dynamic adaptive EQ that promises a stable and consistent sound quality. The Buds 4 are among the first Xiaomi earbuds to support the LHDC 5.0 codec. According to Xiaomi, this codec can produce CD-quality sound at sampling rates of up to 192kHz.

Best TV to buy in Nepal:

Best 43″ TV in Nepal under Rs. 60,000:

1. Xiaomi Mi TV 5X 4K (43″)

Xiaomi has conquered Nepal’s budget smartphone market for quite some years now. And ever since it entered the Nepali TV space a few years back, the company has found immense success in this industry too. And the recently launched Mi TV 5X boasts such an impressive feature set that you might want to think twice before getting a TV from veterans of the industry like Samsung, LG, and TCL. This 43″ TV has a sharp 4K resolution, which is pretty admirable given how most TVs in this price segment in Nepal have just Full HD (1080p) resolution. Other than this, the Mi TV 5X’s display is also Dolby Vision and HDR10+ compatible.

So if the shows or movies you want to watch have been mastered with either of the dynamic HDR standards, they’re gonna look fantastic here. Xiaomi has also upgraded the Vivid Picture Engine to second-generation this time, which supposedly delivers better colors, contrast, and brightness tuning. And even its audio setup is quite impressive! But for a couple of thousand rupees less, Xiaomi Nepal also offers the Redmi Smart TV X Series 4K (43). And these two TVs are pretty similar in many ways. But with the Redmi TV, you get an all-plastic build quality instead of metal, whereas it also settles with the first-gen Vivid Picture Engine and a marginally lower color gamut.

Xiaomi Mi TV 5X, Redmi Smart TV X 4K Specifications:

2. TCL 43P635 43″ 4K Smart TV

The TCL 43P635 is another TV you should consider when shopping for some of the best TVs in Nepal. Like the ones from Xiaomi and Redmi above, this is also a 4K TV, so you don’t need to settle for low-res content here. But unlike the competition, it doesn’t have some of the high-end features like Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and Dolby Atmos audio. Although it does bring HDMI 2.1 connections. But if you can live without either of them, then the TCL 43P635 is definitely worth checking out. The company is well-known for its excellent display calibration and that’s seen on this TV as well.

TCL 43P635 4K (43) - Display

For instance, while the Mi TV 5X and the Redmi Smart TV X Series both use a direct LED-backlit panel (DLED) instead of an edge-lit panel for better contrast, they aren’t complemented by any number of dimming zones. On the contrary, the P635 has a total of 1,296 micro dimming zones which means this TV can deliver much better brightness and contrast adjustment in real-time to enrich your viewing experience. We’ve also been impressed with TCL’s 4K upscaling technology which seamlessly upsamples 1080p and 2K content to high-res 4K. As for audio, this TCL TV features 20W down-firing stereo speakers with Dolby Audio support.

TCL 43P635 43″ 4K Smart TV Specifications:

  • Display: 43″ DLED panel, HDR10, Dynamic Color Enhancement, Micro Dimming, AIPQ 2.0
  • Resolution: 4K Ultra-HD (3840 x 2160 pixels)
  • Sound: 2x 10W output
  • Audio Decoder: Dolby Audio (2ch)

  • Price in Nepal: Rs. 64,390 Rs. 51,390

3. Samsung UA43T5400 43″ FHD Smart TV

The Samsung UA43T5400 is yet another impressive 43″ TV that you can get for under Rs. 60,000 in Nepal. But unlike other entries so far, this is not a 4K TV; it’s a Full HD (1080p) TV instead. And if you don’t care about high pixel count, this could end up being a great investment in the long run. The T5400 is powered by Samsung’s Hyper Real picture engine with PurColor tuning for great colors, contrast, and HDR processing. Talking about HDR, this Samsung TV supports the HDR10 standard, but not other dynamic formats like HDR10+ and Dolby Vision.

As for audio, it has down-firing dual stereo speakers with a total of 20W of output. And Samsung has also added a virtual music system to the TV, which offers multiple visual layouts to transform the TV into a speaker. Furthermore, The T5400 can also be your work monitor since you can mirror your laptop or smartphone’s screen onto it. On the software front, it runs on Samsung’s own Tizen OS. Besides its fluidity and everything else, this operating system flaunts a total of three voice assistants: Bixby, Alexa, and Google Assistant.

Samsung UA43T5400 43″ FHD Smart TV Specifications:

  • Display: 43″ LED, Pur Color, 1000 PQI, HDR
  • Resolution: Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels)
  • Sound: 2x 10W output
  • Audio Decoder: Dolby Digital Plus
  • OS: Tizen OS

  • Memory: Unspecified
  • Connectivity: WiFi, Bluetooth, 2x HDMI, 1x USB, 1x Ethernet, 1x Digital audio out, 1x AV in, 1x RF in
  • Price in Nepal: Rs. 78,990 Rs. 60,390*

4. Xiaomi Smart TV 5A Series (43″) FHD

When it comes to value-for-money gadgets, Xiaomi is probably the first name that comes to everyone’s mind. And considering everything that the recently launched Xiaomi Smart TV 5A Series offers for the price, it’s definitely one of the best TVs you can buy right now in Nepal. Here, Xiaomi has basically taken the basic foundations of the relatively more premium Mi TV 5X lineup and stripped off a bunch of high-end features to meet the lower price point. And the most prominent area where Xiaomi has cut costs is in terms of resolution, since this is an FHD TV and not 4K. Other notable points of cutbacks include the lack of HDR support (yep, no HDR support at all on the Xiaomi Smart TV 5A) and a narrower color gamut.

So if you’re looking for an affordable, basic TV without all the glamour, this could be exactly what you’re after. It does have an attractive design with minimal bezels with metal frames. And it’s tuned by Xiaomi’s first-gen Vivid Picture Engine to deliver deeper contrast, vibrant colors, and sharper details. Audio-wise, Xiaomi has fitted two 12W down-firing speakers that support Dolby Audio, DTS-HD, and even DTS Virtual:X surround sound processing.

Running the show here is Android TV 11, which enables features like Play Store, Google Assistant, and built-in Chromecast. It is also loaded with Xiaomi’s own content-recommendation system called “PatchWall“. But unfortunately, that doesn’t work in Nepal. And if you’re on a really tight budget, you can also consider the Redmi Smart TV 43” (FHD). It is more-or-less the same as the Xiaomi Smart TV 5A but with a slightly less powerful speaker, less powerful processor, and a plastic build quality instead of metal.

Xiaomi Smart TV 5A (43″), Redmi Smart TV (43″) Specifications:

Xiaomi Smart TV 5A (43”) Redmi Smart TV 43” (FHD)
Display 43” panel, Vivid Picture Engine
Resolution Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels)
Sound 2x 12W output 2x 10W output

Connectivity WiFi, Bluetooth, 2x HDMI 2.0, 2x USB 2.0, 1x AV in, 1x earphone out, 1x ethernet
Price in Nepal Rs. 52,999 Rs. 47,999 Rs. 44,999

Best 55″ TV in Nepal under Rs. 1 lakh:

1. Xiaomi Smart TV X Series 4K (55″)

Moving up the price ladder, you can choose from a bunch of impressive 55″ 4K TVs under Rs. 1 lakh. And among all the TV options available in Nepal, the Xiaomi Smart TV X Series definitely ranks among the best for its excellent value for money. At just Rs. 80,000, this TV offers loads of premium features that you simply won’t find on other alternatives in this price range. For instance, the Xiaomi Smart TV X Series has an impressive 94% DCI-P3 color gamut, and it can produce over 1 billion colors for a rich, vibrant TV viewing experience. It even supports Dolby Vision HDR! That means if the content you’re about to watch has been mastered with Dolby Vision, it’s going to look especially impressive on this TV.

The Xiaomi Smart TV X Series impresses with its speakers too. It has 30W down-firing speakers with DTS-HD and Dolby Audio. And for a theater-like surround sound experience, it also supports DTS Virtual:X audio, even though you’ll want to invest in a decent soundbar or a home theater system for the best audio. Powered by a quad-core Cortex-A55 CPU and running on Android TV 10, its performance is plenty fluid as well. This TV also boasts a premium “borderless design” with an impressive 96.9% screen-to-body ratio and a metallic finish.

Xiaomi Smart TV X Series 4K (55″) Specifications:

  • Display: 55″ panel, Dolby Vision, HDR10, HLG, MEMC, Vivid Picture engine, 94% DCI-P3 color gamut
  • Resolution: 4K Ultra-HD (3840 x 2160 pixels)
  • Sound: 2x 15W output
  • Audio Decoder: Dolby Audio, DTS-HD, DTS Virtual:X

  • Price in Nepal: Rs. 79,999

2. Samsung UA55AU7700 55″ 4K Smart TV

Samsung is one of the most trusted TV brands in Nepal, and it’s no surprise that its UA55AU7700 is among the best 55″ 4K TVs. Now, it may not have all the high-end features like Dolby Vision and HDMI 2.1 connectivity as the Xiaomi TV above, but Samsung has pretty much nailed the overall TV experience here. The AU7700 comes with Samsung’s powerful Crystal Processor 4K, which can upscale FHD (1080p) and 2K content to 4K for enhanced clarity. So provided that you have maintained the appropriate viewing distance (or retina distance) with the TV, everything should look crystal clear on this TV.

And if you’re someone who plays a lot of fast-paced games, Samsung’s “Motion Xcelerator” feature is there to deliver smooth gameplay; one that’s free from motion blurs and such. Besides gaming itself, the AU7700 can double as your work monitor as well since its “PC Mode” lets you wirelessly stream your laptop, PC, or smartphone’s content onto the TV. In terms of audio, the company has given standard 20W down-firing stereo speakers here with Dolby Audio. But what’s interesting is that with Samsung’s “Q-Symphony” feature, you can simultaneously play audio from the TV and an external soundbar for an immersive experience.

Samsung UA55AU7700 4K Smart Crystal TV Specifications:

  • Display: 55″ LED panel, HDR10+, PurColor, Motion Xcelerator
  • Resolution: 4K Ultra-HD (3840 x 2160 pixels)
  • Sound: 2x 10W output
  • Audio Decoder: Dolby Audio, Adaptive Sound
  • OS: Tizen OS
  • Processor: Crystal Processor 4K
  • Memory: Unspecified
  • Connectivity: Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2, 3x HDMI 2.0, 1x USB-A, 1x network (LAN), 1x Digital audio out, 1x earphone out, 1x RF in
  • Price in Nepal: Rs. 139,990 Rs. 109,890*

3. TCL 55P635 55″ 4K Smart TV

Like Samsung, TCL is another trusted name in the TV industry. And TCL’s 2022 “P635″ lineup of 55” 4K Smart TV manages to impress with its great display, speaker quality, smooth performance, and other assorted features. Here, TCL has used a direct LED-backlit panel with a total of 1,296 micro dimming zones for superior contrast. In short, direct LED (DLED) uses multiple light zones throughout the back of the TV which allows for finer control over brightness levels. And this ultimately helps deliver brighter whites and darker darks compared to the regular edge LED-backlit panel you’d find on most other TVs.

TCL 55P635 4K (55) - Display

Besides, the TCL P635 has an impressive 4K upscaling technology called AIPQ 2.0. Whereas its proprietary “Dynamic Color Enhancement” algorithm adjusts color details in real time for a great TV viewing experience. And adding to this experience are the down-firing stereo speakers with Dolby Audio support. As for the software, the TCL P635 4K TV runs on the latest Google TV out-of-the-box. To ensure smooth gaming with minimal input lag, this TV also has HDMI 2.1 ports. Using this, the TCL P635 even supports up to 4K @ 120Hz streaming.

TCL 55P635 4K Smart TV Specifications:

  • Display: 55″ DLED panel, HDR10, Micro Dimming, Clear Motion Rate (CMR)
  • Resolution: 4K Ultra-HD (3840 x 2160 pixels)
  • Sound: 2x 10W output
  • Audio Decoder: Dolby Audio (2ch)
  • OS: Google TV
  • Processor: Quad-Core (4x Cortex-A55)
  • Memory: Unspecified
  • Connectivity: Wi-Fi (dual band), Bluetooth 5.0, 3x HDMI 2.1, 1x USB-A, 1x network (LAN), 1x S/PDIF, 1x earphone out
  • Price in Nepal: Rs. 100,790 Rs. 80,390

Best 55″ TV in Nepal under Rs. 1.5 lakh:

1. TCL 55C735 4K QLED Smart TV

If you’re willing to up your budget to 1.5 lakh, then you have a whole new bunch of premium options to choose from when searching for the best TV to buy in Nepal. And among all the choices available, the new TCL 55C735 definitely deserves your top priority. That’s because it’s among the handful of QLED TV options in Nepal under this price range. And that’s probably reason enough to get this TV over others. You see, contrary to your typical LED TV, a QLED TV uses an additional quantum dot layer between the blue backlight and the LCD layer, which in turn delivers far better colors and brightness levels.

So if you want to install a TV in a room that enjoys a ton of outdoor light, QLED is the way to go. Having said that, QLED is still inferior to OLED and QD-OLED TVs when it comes to contrast level, color depth, and energy efficiency. But since those TVs cost almost double (or even more) than QLED TVs, it’s not a big deal. TCL is also pushing the 55C735 as a gaming monitor with its features like 144Hz variable refresh rate (VRR), ALLM (Auto Low-Latency Mode), AMD FreeSync Premium, HDMI 2.1, Game Master, and more.

Also, consider the (slightly) older TCL 55C728

Additionally, this TV is also backed by Dolby Vision IQ and HDR10+ support for a top-class viewing experience. TCL has used Google TV-based “Amati UI” here, which has features like “Multi View 2.0” for casting up to 4 contents at once. For audio, TCL has gone with 20W stereo speakers from Onkyo, that support DTS and Dolby Atmos audio. Anyway, if you’d like to save some money, then the older TCL 55C728 is still an attractive QLED TV under Rs. 1.5 lakh. It does miss out on a few features compared to the C735 but considering their price difference, it’s absolutely worth it.

TCL 55C735, 55C728 55″ 4K QLED TV Specifications:

Price in Nepal Rs. 157,790 Rs. 130,990 Rs. 125,790

2. Skyworth 55SUE9500 4K QLED Smart TV

Likewise, the Skyworth SUE9500 is another QLED option in this price bracket that you can consider. Skyworth calls its spin on QLED panels “QLED+”, which combines multiple image adjustment algorithms to deliver a vivid picture quality. The 55SUE9500 can produce over a billion colors and it covers 93% of the DCI-P3 color gamut for a fine TV viewing experience. Adding to this is the HDR10+ and Dolby Vision support. It also supports the “Filmmaker Mode” that disables all the post-processing effects like judder, brightness, contrast, and more so that you enjoy a movie just as the director intended.

Skyworth 55SUE9500 4K (55) - Display

To make sure you don’t fall into eye fatigue or other similar issues, Skyworth has also obtained TUV Rheinland Eye Care Flicker certification here. Alongside some handful of features like night mode. Over on the audio front, it sports 20W stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support. The SUE9500 comes in a fairly premium design as well, with minimal bezels and a sleek U-shaped metal stand. In terms of software, Skyworth has gone with the latest Google TV UI here. So you can create multiple profiles for different members of your family on this TV for getting personalized recommendations.

Skyworth 55SUE9500 4K QLED Smart TV Specifications:

  • Display: 55″ QLED panel, Dolby Vision, HDR10+, 93% DCI-P3
  • Resolution: 4K Ultra-HD (3840 x 2160 pixels)
  • Sound: 2x 10W output
  • Audio Decoder: Dolby Atmos support
  • OS: Google TV
  • Processor: Chameleon Extreme 2.0, Quad-core (4x Cortex A53)
  • Memory: 2GB RAM, 16GB storage
  • Connectivity: Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3x HDMI 2.0, 2x USB-A, 1x network (LAN), 1x AV in, 1x RF in, 1x Digital audio out
  • Price in Nepal: Rs. 169,900 Rs. 135,900

3. Sony KD-55X80J 4K Smart TV

Up next, the Sony KD-55X80J is also a worthy option when searching for the best TV under Rs. 1.5 lakh in Nepal. It’s not a QLED TV like the one from TCL and Skyworth above, but its picture quality is still more than impressive for an LED TV. Sony’s TRILUMINOS PRO picture engine powering this TV delivers incredible saturation, contrast, brightness level, and accurate human skin tones for an optimal TV viewing experience. With its built-in light sensor, the X80J can automatically adjust brightness levels depending on the ambient lighting condition as well. On the other hand, it also comes with Dolby Vision HDR for even greater contrast on supported content on different streaming platforms like Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video, etc.

This is all thanks to Sony’s 4K HDR Processor X1 and the TV’s full-array LED backlights that allows for fine-tuning brightness level depending on what you’re watching. Over on the audio front, the X80J boasts Dolby Atmos support for an immersive, multi-dimensional audio experience. Sony says it can even optimize the sound output depending on objects in the room. The X80J runs on Google TV OS, which is the latest revision of the Android TV platform. And on top of the built-in Chromecast, this TV also supports Apple AirPlay, which means you can also stream your iPhone, iPad, or Mac directly to this TV. Likewise, it is loaded with both Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa voice assistant.

Check out the 2022 models too

Here, X80J is Sony’s 2021 lineup of 4K LED TVs. And Sony Nepal recently introduced its successor—the X80K too. But there’s not much to get excited about here. The X80K series comes with a more modern-looking flush surface design alongside a couple of additional features like “Auto HDR Tone Mapping” and “Auto Genre Picture Mode”. And it also supports Sony’s BRAVIA CAM (sold separately) which adjusts the TV’s sound and picture settings depending on your relative position in the room. BRAVIA CAM even enables gesture control, and it can send alerts if a person/child is watching the TV too up close. And of course, this camera lets you make video calls as well.

Sony 55X80K 4K (55) - Display
Sony KD-55X80K

Apart from this, the X80J and X80K are pretty much the same. If you’d rather save a few bucks, the new Sony 55X75K is also a decent 55″ 4K Smart TV. Unfortunately, it doesn’t come with features like Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, or Sony’s TRILUMINOS PRO color engine. But it still has a gorgeous Direct LED panel with frame dimming for greater contrast levels. If you’re willing to extend your budget by Rs. 40,000 – Rs. 65,000, then the 2022 models of Sony’s 4K LED TVs are also decent choices. Here, the KD-65X80K is the same as the 55X80K above. Thanks to the new 4K HDR Processor X1, it is also loaded with features like Dynamic Contrast Enhancer, Object-based HDR remaster, Auto HDR Tone Mapping, and more.

Sony 65X75K 4K (65) - Display

On the other hand, the Sony 65X75K is a more affordable alternative to the X80K which misses out on a few perks like the TRILUMINOS PRO color engine. It doesn’t support Dolby Vision HDR or Dolby Atmos surround sound either, which feels like a big miss considering the price of this TV.

Bonus pick: LG C2 4K OLED evo TV (65″)

Okay, if we had to pick the absolute best 65″ TV in Nepal, it would definitely be the LG C2 OLED evo 4K TV. It launched quite some time ago in the international market although LG Nepal just launched it here. But the delayed launch cycle has no bearing on the sheer awesomeness of this TV. Last year’s LG C1 was already incredibly impressive and this guy brings some useful upgrades for an even more immersive TV viewing experience. The most notable of them all is that it uses an OLED evo panel instead of the usual WRGB OLED panel. And according to LG, this results in up to 20% brighter screen.

LG 65OLEDC2 4K (65) - Display

Not only that, but the C2 OLED evo also manages better colors and contrast than its predecessor. And its Dolby Vision IQ HDR has been updated with something called “Precision Detail Format” as well for even finer contrast-tuning. Over on the performance front, this TV runs on the newer webOS 22—powered by the new Alpha 9 Gen5 AI Processor 4K. Besides faster performance and smoother UI/UX experience, it also enables virtual 7.1.2 channel surround sound experience. As expected, this OLED TV is also an excellent gaming monitor. Thanks to its 120Hz refresh rate, G-SYNC, FreeSync Premium, HDMI 2.1, and other features. The 42″ model would’ve been especially better suited for this task but only the 65″ model is available in Nepal right now.

LG C2 4K OLED evo 65″ TV Specifications:

Best 75″ 4K TVs in Nepal [Updated]

Big TVs make for a big TV-viewing experience. And here in Nepal, you can buy big 75″ TVs from different brands Samsung, Sony, LG, TCL, and more. Some of them are LED TVs while some of them come with a fancier QLED panel. So in this list, we have included the best 75″ 4K TV you can buy in Nepal right now.

Best 75″ 4K TV in Nepal:

7. TCL 75P635 4K Smart TV

Kicking off our list is the TCL 75P635 4K TV. Here, “P635″ is TCL’s 2022 lineup of entry-level 4K LED TVs, while the 75P635 is also the most affordable entry on our list of best 75″ 4K TV in Nepal. So if a big 75” TV is what you’re after without breaking the bank, then this could be a decent choice. Starting with the design, it features minimal bezels on all four sides except the chin for a clean look. TCL has also delivered a pretty slim design here as the back of the TV doesn’t stick out as much. Coming to the display, the 75P635 brings a 10-bit 4K LED panel for vivid colors and sharpness.

TCL 75P635 4K (75) - Display

It features TCL’s “Dynamic Color Enhancement” algorithm to dynamically adjust colors, contrast, brightness, skin tone, and more to deliver excellent picture quality. While this TV doesn’t have dynamic HDR standards like HDR10+ and Dolby Vision, TCL has tried to compensate for all that with its aforementioned picture adjustment algorithm; alongside HDR10 and micro dimming support. Audio-wise, this TV brings down-firing stereo speakers with 30W output. On the software front, the TCL 75P635 boots on Google TV, which enables features like Google Assistant, Chromecast, and more. And if you’d like you can even summon Amazon Alexa as your voice assistant here.

TCL 75P635 4K Smart TV Specifications:

  • Display: 75″ DLED panel, HDR10, Dynamic Color Enhancement, Micro Dimming, AIPQ 2.0
  • Resolution: 4K Ultra-HD (3840 x 2160 pixels)
  • Sound: 2x 15W output
  • Audio Decoder: Dolby Audio (2ch)

6. LG 75UQ8050 4K Smart AI ThinQ TV

Like the TCL 75P635, the LG 75UQ8050 is also a 4K LED TV launched in 2022. It replaces last year’s UP8000 series and brings improvements in a couple of aspects like slightly slimmer build quality, a newer processor, newer software, and better color accuracy. It is powered by LG’s new Alpha 5 (α5) Gen5 AI Processor 4K which promises improved 4K upscaling, more refined picture tuning, and more. And the new webOS 22 software platform also introduces some new features, like multiple user profiles. With this, you can get personalized content recommendations on the TV’s homescreen.

LG UQ8050 TV - Display

And it also supports LG’s “Sports Alert” feature which sends match alerts and live match notifications so that you don’t miss out on the action of your favorite games. The LG 75UQ8050 isn’t compatible with HDR10+ or Dolby Vision content either, although it does support HDR10 Pro for nicer colors and contrast on supported content. LG has also loaded this thing with a bunch of gaming-centric features like low-latency mode, HGiG mode, and more; all of which can be accessed from inside the Game Dashboard. It comes with LG’s “AI Sound Pro” technology with a virtual 5.1.2 channel up-mix for an immersive audio experience.

LG 75UQ8050 4K AI ThinQ Smart TV Specifications:

5. Sony KD-75X80J 4K TV

Coming in at number 5 on our list of best 75″ 4K TV in Nepal is the Sony KD-75X80J. This is from Sony’s 2021 lineup of 4K TVs but since the newer “X80K” series doesn’t really bring any notable upgrade (and the fact that Sony hasn’t launched the 75″ model of the X80K lineup in Nepal), this is still a viable choice. The 75X80J uses a direct LED-lit panel with frame dimming for dynamic colors, contrast, and brightness levels depending on the content. It’s not the most elegant form of local dimming technology, but it’s still better than nothing. Besides this, this Sony TV also uses the TRILUMINOS PRO color engine for vivid everything. Including contrast, color accuracy, and more.

Sony KD-75X80J TV - Display

And making it all possible is Sony’s custom 4K HDR Processor X1. It also lets you enjoy high-fidelity Dolby Vision HDR videos, alongside Dolby Atmos surround sound. While this TV has a native 50Hz refresh rate, it supports Motionflow XR 200 to simulate a smoother display. As a result, you can enjoy fast-paced content like sports and gaming without worrying about motion blur and such. And to make your gaming experience even more enjoyable, Sony has given a total of four HDMI 2.1 ports here. So you can connect your gaming PC or console to this TV and get minimal input lag, low latency, and more.

Sony KD-75X80J 4K Smart TV Specifications:

  • Display: 75″ DLED panel, TRILUMINOS PRO, X1 4K HDR Processor, Dolby Vision, HDR10, HLG, Motionflow XR 240
  • Resolution: 4K Ultra-HD (3840 x 2160 pixels)
  • Sound: 2x 10W output
  • Audio Decoder: Dolby Audio, Dolby Atmos, Ambient Optimization
  • OS: Google TV
  • Processor: Unspecified
  • Memory: 2GB RAM, 16GB storage
  • Connectivity: Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 4x HDMI 2.1, 2x USB-A, 1x network (LAN), 1x Composite video in, 1x earphone out, 1x RF in, 1x Digital audio out
  • Price in Nepal: Rs. 360,000 Rs. 324,000

4. Skyworth 75SUE9500 4K QLED TV

So far, every entry on our list of best 75″ 4K TV in Nepal are LED TVs. But the Skyworth 75SUE9500 breaks this trend as it uses a QLED panel instead. In case you didn’t know, QLED TVs use an additional quantum dot layer in-between the blue backlight and the LCD layer used in traditional LED TVs. As a result, they are able to produce more accurate colors alongside higher levels of brightness as well. Skyworth says this TV covers 93% of the DCI-P3 gamut for excellent color reproduction, whereas it is also complemented by Dolby Vision and HDR10+ support for top-notch contrast levels too.

Skyworth 75SUE9500 (75) - Display

The design of this Skyworth TV is also quite nice. With slim bezels and a metal base instead of a regular leg stand, it certainly has a more pleasing visual aesthetics (if you don’t intend on wall mounting it, that is) compared to other TVs on our list so far. It also has fairly powerful 20W stereo speakers that can play Dolby Atmos surround sound. The 75SUE9500 runs on Google TV out of the box, although its UI/UX responsiveness could’ve been better. That’s because Skyworth’s “Chameleon Extreme 2.0″ quad-core processor only uses a rather old Cortex-A53 CPU. But then again, this is something you can easily solve by using an external streaming box anyway. Not to mention, the Skyworth 75SUE9500 is also the cheapest 75” QLED TV in Nepal so we can cut some slack in the performance department here.

Skyworth 75SUE9500 4K Smart TV Specifications:

  • Display: 75″ QLED panel, Dolby Vision, HDR10+, 93% DCI-P3
  • Resolution: 4K Ultra-HD (3840 x 2160 pixels)
  • Sound: 2x 12W output
  • Audio Decoder: Dolby Atmos support
  • OS: Google TV
  • Processor: Chameleon Extreme 2.0, Quad-core (4x Cortex A53)
  • Memory: 2GB RAM, 16GB storage
  • Connectivity: Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3x HDMI 2.0, 2x USB-A, 1x network (LAN), 1x AV in, 1x RF in, 1x Digital audio out
  • Price in Nepal: Rs. 325,000 Rs. 255,000

3. Xiaomi Mi TV Q1 75″ 4K QLED

Taking the bronze medal on our list of best 75″ 4K TV in Nepal is Xiaomi’s Mi TV Q1 (75). Like the Skyworth TV above, this is also a QLED TV which means you can expect superior colors and brightness over standard LED TVs. Xiaomi has also paired the Mi TV Q1’s QLED panel with a slew of high-end features to enhance the experience. First off, it has a 192-zone full-array local dimming to deliver an incredible 10,000:1 contrast ratio for darker darks and brighter whites. It also supports HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and HLG standards. Xiaomi says this TV covers 100% NTSC and 95% DCI-P3 color space, while it also boasts 1000 nits of peak brightness.

Xiaomi Mi TV Q1 4K (75) - Display

Other than this, the Mi TV Q1 brags 120Hz refresh rate with MEMC too. So you get to enjoy smoother playback here without having to worry about juddery textures. Xiaomi could’ve won big points in terms of gaming as well, but that’s not the case here. It does have one HDMI 2.1 port, but it doesn’t support 4K 120Hz gaming. And neither does this TV support variable refresh rate (VRR) technology. Anyway, on the audio front, the Mi TV Q1 comes with a powerful 30W speakers consisting of two tweeters and four woofers. It runs on Android TV 10, and you can also summon Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa hands-free here.

Xiaomi Mi TV Q1 75″ QLED TV Specifications:

  • Display: 75″ QLED panel, Dolby Vision, HDR10+, HDR10, HLG, MEMC 120Hz
  • Resolution: 4K Ultra-HD (3840 x 2160 pixels)
  • Sound: 2x 15W output
  • Audio Decoder: Dolby Audio, DTS-HD
  • OS: Android TV 10
  • Processor: MediaTek MT9611 (Quad-core)
  • Memory: 2GB RAM, 32GB storage
  • Connectivity: Wi-Fi (dual band), Bluetooth 5.0, 1x HDMI 2.1, 2x HDMI 2.0, 2x USB 2.0, 1x LAN, 1x RF in, 1x optical audio out, 1x AV in, 1x 3.5mm jack
  • Price in Nepal: Rs. 349,999 Rs. 299,999

2. Samsung QA75Q60B 4K QLED TV

Moving on, the new Samsung QA75Q60B takes the second spot on our list of best 75″ 4K TV in Nepal. Compared to 2021’s Q60A series, Samsung has introduced quite a few upgrades in the 2022 Q60B lineup. Starting with the design itself, this 4K QLED TV embodies the same AirSlim design, but it now has a more premium-looking metal base instead of a leg stand. As for the display, the QA75Q60B now supports Motion Rate 100 so that contents appear even smoother here. This is further complemented by features like Auto Low-Latency Mode (ALLM), ultrawide game view, Game Bar, and more to enrich your gaming experience.

Samsung QA75Q60B 4K QLED TV - Display

Software-wise, this TV runs on Samsung’s own Tizen OS platform. But apart from the default Bixby voice assistant, it also supports Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa. And if you have compatible IoT devices in your home, like a refrigerator, washing machine, AC, security camera, and such, Samsung’s SmartThings app lets you control all of them right from the TV as well. The QA75Q60B also supports “Ambient Mode” so that you can display artworks whenever the TV is not in use. Its remote is quite interesting too. Samsung ships a solar version of the One Remote here, so that you don’t need to deal with disposable batteries. Even this remote is partially made of recycled plastic!

Samsung QA75Q60B 4K QLED TV Specifications:

  • Display: 75″ QLED panel, Motion Rate 100, HDR10+, HLG, Supreme UHD Dimming
  • Resolution: 4K (3840 x 2160 pixels)
  • Sound: 2x 10W output

1. Samsung The Frame (QA75LS03B) 4K QLED TV

Finally, the gold medal on our list of best 75″ 4K TV goes to Samsung’s The Frame. This is a premium QLED TV from Samsung, that serves its purpose in two-folds. The first (and the obvious) one is that it’s a great TV with rich and accurate colors, contrast, brightness, and more. Like every other premium Samsung TV, it doesn’t support Dolby Vision HDR either, but The Frame has got the next best thing: HDR10+. This HDR standard also uses dynamic metadata to deliver excellent contrast on compatible shows/movies. It also supports Motion Rate 200 so that gaming, sports, and similar content look buttery smooth.

Samsung Frame (QA75LS03BAKXXL) 4K QLED TV

Okay, so besides a great TV in itself, The Frame also doubles as an art piece. Whatever art piece you may desire. Its “Art Mode” showcases a gallery of artworks when the TV is not in use. You can choose to display from the selection of pieces from the Samsung Frame TV Art Store—or load up your own set of photos too. This TV also has a motion sensor built-in, so that it automatically turns off the Art Mode when you’ve left the room. And resume it once you’re back. To simulate a physical art piece, Samsung has also used an anti-glare matte coating here in order to minimize reflections from ambient light sources. You can even customize the actual frames of the TV to match the vibe of your room or the artwork.

Samsung The Frame (QA75LS03B) 4K QLED TV Specifications:

  • Display: 75″ QLED panel, Anti-reflection matte finish, Motion Rate 200, HDR10+, HLG, FreeSync Premium Pro

Dyson just made a pair of air-purifying headphones. No, seriously.

0

Dyson Zone might seem like an early April Fools’ joke, but it is not. Dyson has just launched active noise-canceling headphones that strangely purify the air, too. It was first conceptualized as a wearable air purifier in 2016 and the idea of integrated headphones was added later on.

The headphones are targeted toward urban dwellers as it aims to tackle both air and noise pollution. Thus, Dyson describes it as “headphones delivering pure air and pure sound.”

Dyson Zone Overview:

Development

Dyson Zone may seem like a product born in the light of the COVID-19 pandemic. But this is not the case as the company claims it has been under development for six years. The company has put 30 years of filtration expertise into creating this product in hopes of providing air filtration not just indoors but outdoors as well.

Dyson Zone prototypes throughout the yaers

As mentioned earlier, Dyson Zone was only meant to be a wearable air purifier. However, a year into the research, the company started user trials in Beijing, which led to the idea of integrating ANC headphones and air purification.

Later on, the company settled on mounting the filters in the earcups for optimal performance. Engineers then spent most of 2019 analyzing different faces and head shapes to find the perfect comfort.

After fine-tuning the design in 2020, the company spent another year re-engineering the tech to improve performance and reduce size.

Design

Dyson’s team drew inspiration from a horse saddle for the Zone’s weight distribution. Just like a saddle, the headphones distribute weights on the sides. Dyson has divided the head cushion into three parts which help evenly distribute the weight through the “contact areas” for an optimal fit. A magnetic visor pushes clean air towards the user’s nose and mouth.

Dyson Zone Final Design

According to the company’s chief engineer Jake Dyson, “the Dyson Zone purifies the air you breathe on the move. and unlike face masks, it delivers a plume of fresh air without touching your face, using high-performance filters and two miniaturized air pumps.”

Air purification And Contact-free Visor

The Dyson Zone is the company’s first audio product. It features a 2-stage purification system that uses a filter and an electrostatic media to contain particles. Air is drawn into the headphone’s earcups and channeled into a contact-free visor that sits across the wearer’s lower face.

The visor streams two jets of purified fresh air into the wearer’s nose and mouth. Dyson claims that breathing does not feel stuffy but rather natural and comfortable with the Zone.

Dyson Zone in use

The Dyson Zone has four purification modes, low, medium, high, and auto. When the visor is dropped to the wearer’s chin, the fans stop, allowing the user to talk. However, the headphones can be used without the visor too. Besides this, the company also offers a mask attachment with an FFF2 filter.

Hi-fi Audio And ANC

According to Dyson, the Zone provides ‘premium audio technology’ which delivers ‘immersive, high-fidelity sound.’ The active noise cancellation on the headphones utilizes microphones to monitor sound from the environment and compressors to generate noise-canceling sound waves. There are three ANC modes to choose from isolation, conversation, and transparency.

Dyson Zone Price And Availability

Dyson has finally unveiled the price of the new air-purifying noise-canceling headphones. It is priced at USD 949 and will go on sale in March 2023.

iQOO 11 Pro official with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, 200W fast charging

1

Vivo’s sub-brand, iQOO, has just announced its latest flagship smartphone in China. The new iQOO 11 Pro packs the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, among other high-end hardware. In this article, we will discuss the specs, features, expected price, and availability of the iQOO 11 Pro in Nepal.

iQOO 11 Pro Overview:

Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip

As expected, iQOO 11 Pro is powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. The chip went official at the recent Qualcomm’s annual Snapdragon Summit and is based on TSMC’s new 4nm architecture.

It brings a new 1+4+3 CPU core structure with the Cortex X3 leading the line. Accompanying it are four Performance cores (2.8GHz) and three Efficiency cores (@2.0GHz). Likewise, the new Adreno 740 GPU on Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is the first in the lineup to offer hardware-accelerated ray tracing.

iQOO 11 Pro Internals

The chip has been paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.0 internal storage.

Vivo V2 ISP

In addition to Qualcomm’s flagship chip, iQOO 11 Pro rocks the latest V2 ISP engine from its parent company. Vivo unveiled the new NPU last month, and it first debuted on the Vivo X90 series.

Vivo V2 follows up the maiden V1 and the V1+ chip that came after it. It brings a dedicated SRAM which Vivo says reduces power consumption by 200% compared to traditional external DDR memory design.

Camera Setup

The new ISP enhances the imaging capability of iQOO 11 Pro’s triple camera setup that is housed inside the rectangular bump. iQOO has joined hands with Sony in developing the new custom VCS IMX866. It is being used as the primary camera on the 11 Pro. iQOO is hyping the new Bionic spectrum technology which it claims unlocks more vivid closer-to-life colors, 4K Super Night videos, and Zero-Shutter-Lag Motion Snapshot.

iQOO 11 Pro Camera Setup

There is another 50MP sensor which is paired with a 150-degree ultrawide lens. It even doubles as a macro camera. Finally, we have a 2x telephoto lens with 50mm focal length for portraits.

Design and Display

Over on the front, iQOO 11 Pro sports a 6.78-inch curved E6 AMOLED screen. It boasts a QHD resolution as well as LTPO 4.0-facilitated 144Hz refresh rate. The screen has a peak brightness of 1800 nits and 1400Hz high-frequency PWM dimming to nullify flickers. You can even enjoy HDR content on the phone, courtesy of the HDR10+ certification.

The new V2 chip has a job here as well working as an independent graphics chip. As per iQOO, the chip boosts fps and reduces power consumption, while also enhancing other visual elements of the games.

iQOO 11 Pro Legendary Edition

iQOO is continuing its partnership with BMW with the 11 series as well. The iQOO Pro is available in a Legendary Edition with tri-color stripes on the back. New to this year is an Isle of Man Special Edition. The phone is also available in a matte black “Track” color option.

200W Ultra Flash Charging

While last year’s iQOO 10 Pro capped at 120W charging, the company has improved it significantly up to 200W on its successor. For this ultra-fast charging, iQOO has adopted a 10C battery of 4,700mAh battery composed of two distinct cells. Moreover, iQOO has implemented a 3-pump charging scheme. The phone ships with a compatible GaN charger as well as a 1.5m charging cable.

Tecno Phantom X2 Pro goes official with world’s first “retractable” portrait camera

0

Tecno has just introduced a new smartphone under its premium Phantom sub-brand. Called the Phantom X2 Pro, it is the world’s first smartphone to feature a retractable portrait lens. Let’s take a look at what Tecno has to offer with the Phantom X2 Pro, as well as its expected price in Nepal.

Tecno Phantom X2 Pro Overview:

Design, Display

The Tecno Phantom X2 Pro sports a unique design for a smartphone. Especially, its centrally located large camera module on the back looks extra-ordinary. It even has a decorative ring around one of its cameras. So it’s easily distinguishable from the sea of similar-looking smartphones.

Furthermore, the X2 Pro is available in an Eco-Friendly Edition with a microfiber back cover made from recycled ocean materials. According to Tecno, ocean waste was first transformed into microfibers through a complex and multi-stage process.

It is then woven to create a strong, long-lasting material for the back panel. All this tech is packed in the Mars Orange color variant. Whereas, there is a Stardust Grey variant with a glass back.

Up front, you’re looking at a 6.8-inch Full HD+ curved AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and Gorilla Glass Victus Protection. This is a 10-bit panel that covers 100% DCI-P3 color gamut. Likewise, the bezels on the top and bottom are quite minimal as well.

Performance

In charge of things inside the chassis is a MediaTek Dimensity 9000 SoC. This is a big lead from the original Phantom X which was equipped with a mid-range Helio G95 processor.

Based on TSMC’s 4nm SoC, the SoC has a high-performance Cortex-X2 (3.05 GHz) core, three Cortex-A710 (2.85 GHz) performance cores, and four Cortex-A510 (1.8 GHz) efficiency cores.

Sure, Tecno could have gone with the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and Dimensity 9200 SoC. But the Dimensity 9000 is a capable chipset in its own right. Memory options are limited to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. It comes pre-installed with Android 12-based HiOS 12.

Cameras

Let’s now talk about the highlight of this guy, the cameras. It comes with a 50MP Samsung JN1 retractable portrait lens with support for 2.5x zoom. As a result, you can even use it as a telephoto lens. The reason behind the name “retractable” lens is that the phone has a mechanism that extends the camera lens outward when in use and retracts it afterward.

Tecno Phantom X2 Pro Camera

On the other hand, this portrait lens has a bright f/1.5 aperture, which is quite wide for a 65mm smartphone camera. This brings in two advantages.  First, it allows more light to reach the sensor. Second, its shallow depth of field produces natural bokeh for portrait shots.

The portrait lens is paired with a 50MP Samsung GNV primary camera with a 1/1.3″ ISOCELL 3.0 sensor. Although the large 1/1.3” unit helps to capture more light, Tecno has also used an RGBW sensor and a glass element on the camera to increase light intake.

The remaining lens is a 13MP Samsung 3L6 ultra-wide camera which can also take macro shots. A 32MP camera with an f/1.5 aperture is there for selfies.

Rest of the specs

Besides this, the smartphone features a big 5160mAh battery with support for 45W fast charging. Biometric options include an in-display fingerprint sensor. Likewise, you get all the major connectivity options such as 5G (SA/NSA), Wi-Fi 6 (802.11 ax), Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, NFC, and USB Type-C.

Tecno Phantom X2 Pro Specifications:

  • Dimensions: 164.6 x 72.7 x 8.9mm
  • Display: 6.8-inch FHD+ AMOLED, 120Hz refresh rate, Corning Gorilla Glass Victus
