Apple MacBook Air 13-inch with M3 Price in Nepal [Updated]

Unlike the norm, Apple unveiled the M3-equipped MacBook Pros before their Air lineup back in October (2023). Later, the Cupertino giant refreshed its 13 and 15-inch Airs with the M3 silicon in March (2024), then bumped up the base memory to 16GB. Only a few weeks later, the MacBooks are now available in Nepal. In this article, let’s take a closer look at the Apple MacBook Air M3 (13-inch), its specifications, upgrades, and official price in Nepal, alongside availability details.

Apple MacBook Air M3 Price in Nepal and Availability

Right now, the price of the MacBook Air M3 is NPR 146,999 for the 8/256GB model and NPR 158,999 for the 16/256GB model. You can buy it from Hukut Store.

Apple MacBook Air M3 Overview:

M3 Magic

The M3 chip in the new MacBook Air 13 is the same one that we saw in the base MacBook Pro 13 from last year. According to Apple, the processor is up to 60% faster than the base M1 SoC. It features a total of 8 Cores with 4 on the performance side and others on the efficiency end alongside up to 10 GPU cores. The chip now supports hardware-accelerated mesh shading and raytracing alongside an AV1 decode engine for efficient video streaming and playback. This allows for higher-quality video even at low bitrates which enhances the overall streaming experience.

With that extra power, the base MacBook Air (with M3) can now drive two external displays with its lid closed. You can configure the machine with up to 24GB of unified memory and up to 2TB of storage while the base variants continue to ship with a modest 8/256 trim.

Design

Looks-wise there isn’t an overhaul like we saw with the M2 Air. You get the same unibody metal design that weighs less than 1.25 kg and measures just a tad more than 1 cm. And unfortunately, we aren’t getting new colors either. Besides the standard ‘Silver’ and ‘Space Grey’ color options, you can pick between ‘Starlight’ and ‘‘Midnight’- the latter of which now features a new anodization seal to reduce fingerprints.

The screen doesn’t see any upgrades on paper either. The MacBook Air M3 sports a 13.3-inch Liquid Retina display that can hit 500 nits of maximum brightness. Resolution and colors also stay the same at 2560×1664 and Wide P3.

Alongside that, the notch is still there and houses the same FHD webcam.

New Chip, Same Endurance

Apple quotes the same 18 hours of battery life as they did for the M2 MacBook. In theory, the newer M3 with its more efficient 3nm architecture should provide more endurance with the 52.6 Wh lithium polymer battery, but that seems to not be the case (according to Apple). And although the device supports up to 67W of power via USB-C, Apple ships a 30W MagSafe charger with the base variants.

On the same topic, let’s take a look at the ports, which again, are the same as the previous generation with a modest 2 Thunderbolt 4s, a Magsafe, and a 3.5mm audio jack.

Everything else is the same

Everything else — except the WiFi stays the same. You get the same Backlit Magic Keyboard with Touch ID and Force Touch trackpad that MacBooks are famous for. There are a total of 4 speakers with support for ‘Spatial Audio’ and ‘Dolby Atmos’ and a three-microphone array with beamforming tech. The WiFi gets a slight upgrade from WiFi 6 to 6E but Bluetooth connectivity is the same at version 5.3. Apple MacBook Air 13 with M3 boots on macOS 14 Sonoma.

Apple’s MacBook Air 15-inch with M3 available in Nepal!

Apple discreetly announced refreshes to the 13 and 15-inch MacBook Airs with its M3 silicon a couple of weeks ago. These do not deviate a lot from their predecessors in terms of design or much else but they do bring more power and efficiency to the table. The best part, though, is that these MacBooks are already available in Nepal! Let’s take a quick look into the Apple MacBook Air 15 with M3, its specifications, upgrades, and expected price in Nepal alongside availability details.

MacBook Air 15 (M3) Overview:

M3 Magic

One of the main highlights is the 8-core M3 chip fabbed under a 3nm process. According to the company, the new MacBook Airs should be up to 60% faster than the M1 models. You also get better GPU performance with support for hardware-accelerated mesh shading and raytracing alongside a dedicated AV1 decode engine for efficient video streaming and playback.

Apple M3 Chipset

Thanks to the magic of the M3, now you can drive dual external displays from the MacBook Air 15 (2024). Alongside there, there’s up to 24 GB of unified memory and up to 2TB of storage.

Form Factor stays

You’d be forgiven if you couldn’t tell the difference between the MacBook Air 15 with M2 and the newer one because…there’s none. Apple has gone with the same recycled aluminum chassis, so the claim of “the thinnest 15-inch laptop” at 11.5mm stays. It weighs 1.51 kg and comes in the same Silver, Space Grey, Midnight, and Starlight color options.

Apple Macbook Air 15 with M3 design

On the display end, you get a 15.3” Liquid Retina display (LED) with up to 500 nits of brightness and True Tone support. It features a resolution of 2880 by 1864 pixels that equates to a pixel density of 224 ppi.

18 hours of battery life

Despite the more efficient M3 silicon, the MacBook Air 15 (2024) is quoted to have the same 18 hours of battery life. It houses the same 66.5Wh battery with support for up to 70W fast chargers. Unfortunately, you’ll have to make do with a 35W dual port charger out of the box.

The port story plays out the same at 2 Thunderbolts, the MagSafe port, and a 3.5mm audio jack.

Not much new

Since the chassis is unchanged, it only makes sense for the keyboard, trackpad, and others to follow suit. As such, the 6 speaker setup and three-mic array are the same as before alongside the backlit magic keyboard and large trackpad. You do get newer WiFi 6E on the 2024 model, but Bluetooth is still the same. 15-inch Apple MacBook Air with M3 boots on macOS 14 Sonoma.

Apple MacBook Air 15 (M3) Specifications:

Processor (CPU) Price in Nepal 2025 [Updated]: Intel, AMD Desktop CPUs

Tired of running around the market to figure out the price and availability of PC components that you are considering for your next build? Worry not because we have already prepared the updated price lists for major components like motherboard, RAM, and SSD. And in this post, we have curated the list of all the desktop processors (CPUs) from Intel and AMD that are currently available in Nepal along with their latest price.

How to choose a processor? (A mini-guide)

When choosing a processor, you need to be sure about what you want from your setup. If you are looking to build a home PC for basic tasks, you won’t need a powerful CPU—one from Intel’s i3, i5 or AMD’s Ryzen 3 lineup will suffice in this case.

On the other hand, if you’re building a gaming PC or a content creation workstation, you will need a more powerful silicon with a higher core/thread count.

Cores/Threads

In a processor, cores divide the work of the CPU making it more efficient. Cores are further divided into threads. However, not all workloads can make use of higher core/thread counts.

Usually, you will look for more cores if you are into content creation. The more the core/thread, the more fluid will tasks like multitasking and video editing be.

However, a processor with higher core/thread counts tends to have higher price tags in Nepal. So it can be wise to not go after them especially when you have a tight budget. To note, most modern-day games don’t benefit from a high core count.

  • Meanwhile, check out all the prices and specs of PCs in Nepal here

Clock Speed

So for a gaming setup, the better choice is to go for a CPU with higher clock speeds. You don’t need more cores, four to eight cores will do the trick most of the time. Manufacturers advertise processors with a base clock and a maximum clock speed.

You should be aware that the CPU can maintain maximum clock speed only for a short period and that if you have capable cooling. Additionally, the max boost clock specified by the vendor usually refers to a single-core boost frequency.

On the other hand, some CPUs can even be unlocked for higher clock speed. For instance, all the K-suffixed processors from Intel are overclockable. Price for the K and non-K suffixed SKU of the same processor are different in Nepal. So it needs to be considered before deciding on a processor.

TDP

The next thing to consider is TDP. Short for Thermal Design Power, it is the maximum heat generated by the processor at stock speed. If you are going for a higher TDP processor, make sure that your PSU (Power Supply Unit) can supply the required power. Also, the cooling setup should be able to dissipate heat effectively.

Architecture

It would be a big mistake to compare processors solely based on their core/thread count or clock frequency. The processor architecture determines how its components are organized, the functions that they can accomplish, and how it’s accomplished. It plays a major role in the performance of the processor.

Two CPUs with the same core count may have different clock speeds which they will maintain for different periods. Processors with the same clock speed may have different Instruction Per Cycle (IPC), resulting in different levels of performance.

Also, it is one of the most important determinants of performance upgrade over any two consecutive iterations of a company’s CPU. So, it is always wise to consult benchmark tests and reviews of processors from trusted sources before you spend your hard-earned cash on one.

With that out of the way, here’s the list of desktop processors available in Nepal alongside their respective prices. We have categorized them under Intel and AMD for your convenience.

0% EMI on mobile phones in Nepal: Your ultimate guide

There was a time (not too long ago) when many of us in Nepal had to give up on our dream phones just because we couldn’t afford them right when they launched. I remember my dad waiting months, even years, for prices to drop or a newer model to come out, hoping the one he wanted would finally fit his budget.  But things have changed. With the rise of EMI services in Nepal, a lot of people are now able to get the phone they really want, sometimes within days of its release.

So, what exactly is EMI and how does it work? Don’t worry, I’ll walk you through everything you need to know, from how to get started to which brands and stores are offering the best deals. If you’ve ever been confused about the process or worry it’s too complicated, you’re not alone and this guide is here to clear it all up for you.

0% EMI on mobile phones

What is 0% EMI?

0% EMI (Equated Monthly Instalment) also known as no-cost EMI, refers to a financing option where the buyer pays the total cost of the mobile phone in fixed monthly installments without any additional interest or processing fees. For example, if a phone costs NPR 60,000 and the EMI tenure is 12 months, the buyer pays NPR 5,000 per month for 12 months, totaling NPR 60,000 with no extra charges.

Why choose 0% EMI in Nepal?

In Nepal, when a new phone comes out, it’s usually too expensive for most people to buy right away. That’s where 0% EMI comes in handy. You don’t have to pay the full amount at once. You can just pay in small monthly installments without any extra interest or hidden charges, so it doesn’t hurt your wallet all at once. It’s a great way to get the phone you really want, whether it’s a flagship or a solid mid-range model. Plus, lots of shops and banks offer EMI now, so it’s easy to find a deal that works for you.

How does it work in Nepal?

From what I’ve seen and experienced here in Nepal, 0% EMI schemes have become a really practical way to buy smartphones, especially for those of us who don’t want to or simply can’t spend a big chunk of money all at once. These EMI deals are usually offered through partnerships between smartphone brands, local retailers, online stores, and financial institutions like banks or finance companies.

The process is pretty straightforward. First, you choose a phone (usually something above NPR 15,000 qualifies), then pick your EMI plan; most people go for 6, 9, or 12 months, though it can go up to 18. Some schemes ask for a down payment (sometimes around 40%), but there are also offers with zero down payment, which is great if you’re short on cash.

Moreover, you’ll need to provide some basic documents like your citizenship certificate, proof of income (like salary slips if you’re working), and sometimes a bank account so they can set up auto-debits for your monthly payments. Once you submit everything, the approval usually doesn’t take more than a few days.

Payments can be made through your bank or even through digital wallets like eSewa and Khalti, which is super convenient. For many of us living here, this option really helps us get our hands on the latest phones without burning a hole in our pockets. It’s nice to see that more brands and retailers are making this easier and more accessible every year.

Key players in Nepal

Based on what I’ve found while researching and following the market here in Nepal, there are quite a few key players offering 0% EMI schemes for smartphones, and it’s becoming more common, especially with premium phones getting more expensive. Different brands team up with banks and finance companies to make these offers possible, and here are some of the main ones:

Samsung

Samsung has one of the most active EMI programs through its “Insta Finance” scheme in partnership with Hulas Finserv. You can get a Samsung phone above NPR 15,000 with 0% EMI, but you’ll need to pay a 40% down payment and show your citizenship. Payments are flexible, you can pay through eSewa, Khalti, or directly at Hulas’s Teku office. Just be careful with late payments, there’s a 2% penalty, and they can even lock your phone using Samsung Knox.

Xiaomi/Redmi

Xiaomi has brought back its 0% EMI offer in Nepal as of April 11, 2025. This time, you can buy the Redmi Note 14 series, Xiaomi 14T, and Xiaomi 15 Ultra with no interest on installments through MAW Hire Purchase. You just need to make a 40% down payment, making it easier for budget-conscious buyers to get the latest Xiaomi phones.

Vivo

Vivo has also jumped in by partnering with Goodwill Finance, offering 0% EMI for phones priced above NPR 25,000 (V, X, Y series). With Goodwill, you don’t even need a credit card, just your National Identity Card (NID).

Realme

Realme is working with Jagadamna Hire Purchase and Goodwill Finance, offering similar terms of 0% EMI without needing a credit card, and a 40% upfront payment for phones above NPR 20,000. They’re reportedly planning to roll out an updated EMI scheme in early 2025, so Realme fans should keep an eye on that.

Apple

As for Apple (iPhones), they’re a bit different. Authorized retailers like EvoStore and Oliz Store offer EMI options, often with 0% down payment, but many of these come with interest rates between 10–and 12%, unless it’s specifically advertised as a 0% EMI deal.

Overall, if you’re in Nepal and eyeing a new phone but don’t want to or can’t pay in full, these EMI schemes are a solid option. Just make sure to read the fine print, especially around interest rates, down payments, and penalties.

OnePlus

You can grab the 0% EMI service with two options: pay 40% upfront (no credit card needed, just your citizenship) or go for 0% down payment with a credit card from partner banks.

Honor

While Honor is a hit brand in Nepal, they currently don’t offer EMI. Exciting news is on the horizon. Yes, they’re set to roll out a 0% EMI plan in 2025, making their tough tech more affordable for Nepali fans not sure exactly when though.

Retailers and online platforms

Well, it’s not just the brand offering EMI service, you see. A growing number of retailers and online platforms have jumped on the EMI bandwagon, making it easier than ever to grab that dream device without draining your savings. Here’s a breakdown of who’s offering what (consider this your cheat sheet to smarter shopping).

Fatafat Sewa

Let’s start with Fatafat Sewa—true to its name, it helps you grab your favorite phone fatafat! They offer 0% EMI on a wide range of brands including Samsung, Apple, Xiaomi, Vivo, and OnePlus. With tie-ups with 12 banks and Hulas Finserv, you get flexible options. If you have a credit card, you can even enjoy a 0% down payment. No credit card? No problem. You’ll just need to pay around 40% upfront. EMI tenure goes from 6 to 18 months, perfect for phones priced above NPR 15,000.

Hukut Store

Next up is Hukut Store, your gadget haven in Kathmandu! They bring 0% EMI on Samsung, Vivo, Realme, Apple, and more, with partners like Hulas Finserv and Goodwill Finance. Just flash your citizenship and pay 40% upfront (no credit card needed for most plans). EMI runs from 3 to 12 months, and with nationwide delivery, Hukut’s got you covered faster than you can say “new phone day!”

Daraz Nepal

Then there’s Daraz Nepal, the e-commerce giant that’s become everyone’s go-to during sales season. They offer 0% EMI through partner banks like NIC Asia, Nabil Bank, and more. But you need a credit card, and after buying the phone and you’ll have to contact the bank to convert it into EMI. Think of it as adding a little paperwork to your shopping cart.

EvoStore

EvoStore is the Apple paradise in town. If you’re eyeing an iPhone, iPad, or MacBook, this is the place to be. They offer EMI through banks like Nabil, Mega, NIC Asia, and Machhapuchhre, and guess what? No down payment is required with specific bank tie-ups. So yes, you can finally bite into that Apple without emptying your fruit basket of savings hehe.

EvoStore EMI Scheme

Oliz Store

Oliz Store, another popular Apple retailer, offers EMI with a cool feature with an EMI calculator to help you plan your budget before you swipe. You’ll need a credit card and a Delivery Order from your bank, but once that’s sorted, you’re all set.

Choicemandu

Choicemandu EMI scheme
Image: Choicemandu

Ever heard of Choicemandu? This rising platform is all about choices. They provide 0% EMI with 0% down payment on smartphones and more. The process is pretty simple: pick your product, fill out an EMI form, and get a Delivery Order from one of their partner banks. It’s like window shopping with a safety net!

Samsung Plaza

And let’s not forget the OG; Samsung Plaza. These official Samsung outlets offer EMI through Hulas Finserv and banks like Nabil, NMB, and Global IME. If you don’t have a credit card, no worries, Hulas Finserv’s plan doesn’t require one. It’s Samsung’s way of saying, “Don’t stress, just press ‘buy.’”

Eligibility and Requirements

Well, before you fly into Cloud 9, lemme make this clear that there are a few things you need to make sure you have before you dive into the world of 0% EMI in Nepal. A quick checklist to unlock that sweet monthly payment plan without extra charges.

  • Age: You need to be 18 or older to qualify. Basically, if you can vote, you can EMI.
  • Income proof: This is where it gets real. You’ll need to show that you have a stable source of income. These could be salary slips, bank statements, or even income tax documents. Hey, they’re not being nosy okay? They just want to make sure you can handle the monthly payments.
  • Citizenship certificate: This one is a must. You need to be a valid Nepali citizen. No passport? No problem, as long as you’ve got your Nepali Nagarikta.
  • Bank account: An active bank account is often required, especially for plans that use auto-debit to collect your monthly installments. It makes the process smoother and you won’t forget to pay (or get hit with penalties).
  • Now here’s a fork in the road: some EMI plans require a credit card (I repeat, SOME). Especially those through banks like Nabil or Global IME. But don’t worry if you don’t have one. Finance companies like Hulas Finserv and Goodwill Finance have your back with non-credit card EMI options.
  • Lastly, the down payment varies depending on the scheme. It can be as low as 0% (especially for credit card EMI) or up to 50% in some cases. Hulas Finserv, for example, usually asks for a 40% down payment, which is kind of the standard for many offline plans.

Pros and Cons of 0% EMI in Nepal

So yeah, just because you are getting a brand new phone at the least cost, doesn’t mean it’s always the best option. It comes with its own pros and cons.

Pros

  • Affordability: Spreads the cost over months, making premium phones accessible.
  • No interest: Saves money compared to standard EMI with interest rates (e.g., 10–12% for iPhones at EvoStore).
  • Flexible tenures: Options from 3 to 18 months suit different budgets.
  • Non-credit card options: Schemes like Hulas Finserv and Goodwill Finance cater to those without credit cards.
  • Quick Approval: Many providers offer fast processing, sometimes within hours.

Cons and things to watch out for

  • Limited Tenure: Some schemes (e.g., Xiaomi with Nabil Bank) restrict EMI to 6 months, requiring higher monthly payments.
  • Down Payment: A 40% down payment can still be a significant upfront cost (e.g., NPR 40,000 for a NPR 100,000 phone).
  • Late Payment Penalties: Late payments may incur a 2% penalty or, in Samsung’s case, phone locking via Knox security.
  • Credit Card Dependency: Many schemes require a credit card, which may involve annual fees or complex cancellation processes.
  • Availability: Not all brands (e.g., Xiaomi currently) or models offer 0% EMI, and schemes may be limited to specific retailers or banks.
  • Hidden Terms: Some schemes may have unadvertised conditions, such as mandatory down payments or shorter tenures for certain models. Always read the fine print.

Best Laptops Under Rs. 60,000 in Nepal [2025]

In this list, we’ll be taking a look at the best laptops under NPR 60000 you can buy in Nepal right now. Buying a laptop in Nepal is all about finding the perfect balance between price, performance, and aesthetics. But it isn’t an easy task to roam around shops looking for that ideal laptop for your needs.

The laptop market is ever-changing, and often you will find yourself in an indecisive situation about which one to buy. Now, if you are thinking of getting a new laptop for yourself, rest easy because we have done all the homework for you. In this post, we will be taking a look at the best budget laptops that we can buy under NPR 60000 in Nepal.

How to buy laptops under Rs. 60,000 in Nepal? (A mini guide)

As mentioned earlier, the process of finding the best budget laptops in Nepal is a bit tricky. You have to compromise on a lot of aspects, while still maintaining the core usability of the machine. At this price, you’ll most likely find laptops with Intel Core i3 CPU but you should be able to Ryzen 5 and even an i5 if you try hard enough. Anything more powerful will be a hard find—the same goes for an SSD, high-speed RAM, or terrific display quality.

Also, don’t expect excellent build quality or any type of extra styling either. Instead, go for something that can later be upgraded, like extra RAM or an SSD slot. These machines are mostly geared toward school-level students or just anyone with very low-demand computing needs. Anyway, here is our updated list for you to buy the best laptops under NPR 60,000 in Nepal that meet most of these requirements.

You can purchase all these laptops under Rs. 60,000 from our affiliate partner Hukut Store!

Huawei Watch 5 leaks reveal exciting health features ahead of launch

A while ago the Huawei launched the Watch GT 5, and now we are hearing rumors about the Huawei Watch 5. According to a leak, this new smartwatch will include an interesting new health sensor. In this article, walk through the details of the Huawei Watch GT 5, including its features and expected price in Nepal.

Huawei Watch 5 Overview

Design and Display

Huawei Watch 5 will launch in 42mm and 46mm sizes. The 42mm version will come in Aurora Green, Moon White, Stellar Beige, and Dawnlight, and this last one even features a stylish titanium strap. Meanwhile, the 46mm model will offer Midnight Black, Jupiter Brown with a premium leather strap, Twilight Purple with a comfy fluoroelastomer strap, and Space Silver, which again uses titanium for a high-end feel. You’ll notice a circular dial, thin bezels, a digital crown, and one physical button, all making the design both sleek and practical.

On the display side, Huawei includes an AMOLED panel with a sharp 466 x 466 resolution. For durability, it’s protected with sapphire glass, along with an IP68 water and dust resistance rating, so you can use it in tougher environments without worry.

Sensors and More

Huawei has been building excitement around a new health sensor. Although some think it might be for charging, Huawei’s own teaser videos say otherwise. These clearly show the sensor is part of a new health feature that’s expected to be announced later this month.

The video hints at a quick health check-in tool that shows things like body temperature, heart rate, ECG results, and possibly even mood or breathing rate. Honestly, this could be a game-changer if those features work as shown.
