JBL Go 3 Overview
Design
JBL Go 3 has undergone a design change for the better compared to Go 2. Mostly covered with fabrics, the Go 3 has a curved edge. The buttons have been distributed to the side and the bottom, compared to everything on the side in its predecessor. What is new is the loop to hang or hold this device, which is located at the top of the speaker alongside a USB-C port.
However, the design elements do not add that much dimension (except for thickness) and weight to it. For reference, the Go 3 measures 87.5×75×41.3 mm and weighs 209 g, while the Go 2 sits at 180g of weight and has an 86×71×32 mm dimension. The IP67 rating is secured, and the speaker comes in a bunch of colors, including Blue, Red, Gray, Black, and much more.
Audio
JBL Go 3 boasts a 1.5-inch transducer, contributing to an output of 4.2W RMS. How can we forget about JBL’s tuning when it comes to their audio product? Moreover, this speaker provides a response ranging from 110 Hz to 20 kHz.
For connectivity, Go 3 features Bluetooth v5.1 with A2DP 1.3 and AVRCP 1.6 profiles. The device can also handle more than a device’s connection as it comes integrated with a multi-point connection.
Battery
JBL has included a 2.7Whr Li-ion polymer battery in the Go 3. The company claims that it can provide up to 5 hours of music playback on a single charge. Similarly, it takes 2.5 hours to fully charge the speaker using a 5W charger.
