TECNO has unveiled its latest foldable concept on MWC 2025, the PHANTOM Ultimate G Fold, featuring a unique dual inward-folding tri-fold design that balances usability, protection, and a slim profile. The device unfolds to reveal a 9.94-inch display while maintaining durability through a custom hinge system and high-strength materials. Built and Design

The PHANTOM Ultimate G Fold uses a tri-fold design that folds inward twice to protect its flexible display when closed. It features a dual-hinge system that allows the device to fold without leaving gaps, and a separate cover screen handles basic tasks without requiring the main display to be opened.

When opened, the device measures 3.49mm thick, and when folded, it is 11.49mm. Materials like high-strength steel for the hinge and a thin Titan Fiber back panel are used to keep the weight down while maintaining durability. The device can also stay open at different angles, which can be useful for tasks like video calls or watching content without holding it.

Hinge Design

The PHANTOM Ultimate G Fold uses a dual-hinge system to manage its tri-fold structure. One hinge is a smaller waterdrop hinge that folds a section inward, while the second is a larger hinge that folds the remaining part over, allowing the device to close without visible gaps. The hinges are made using high-strength steel to handle repeated folding and to help keep the device stable when partially opened. This design also allows the device to stay open at various angles for different uses.

Record-Breaking Slim Profile & High-End Hardware

The PHANTOM Ultimate G Fold measures just 3.49mm when fully opened and 11.49mm when folded, making it the slimmest tri-fold foldable announced so far. This is achieved using materials like high-strength steel for the hinge and a thin Titan Fiber rear panel, helping the device stay lightweight while maintaining durability during repeated folds.

While detailed hardware specifications are still unknown, TECNO has confirmed that the concept device will feature a triple-camera system, a capable chipset, and a battery of over 5000mAh.
