Motorola recently unveiled three new smartphones in the Edge 30 series, including the new Motorola Edge 30 Fusion. It is a premium mid-range smartphone powered by the Snapdragon 888+ SoC. Asus has just launched the 2022 iteration of the ZenBook S 13 OLED (UM5302) in Nepal. It is a thin-and-light laptop which is also gaining popularity as the Windows alternative to the new MacBook Air (M2). So, let’s look at the specs, features, official price, and availability of the Asus ZenBook S 13 OLED (2022) in Nepal.

Design and Display

Let’s start with the design. Here, the Asus ZenBook S 13 OLED comes in a magnesium-aluminum alloy unibody. Asus claims it to be the world’s lightest 13.3-inch laptop as it weighs around 1kg. Likewise, it is also quite thin at 14.9mm. For durability, the laptop goes through MIL-STD 810H military certification.

Asus offers the ZenBook S 13 OLED in four colors options: Ponder Blue, Refined White, Vestige Beige, and Aqua Celadon. However, the availability of the color options depends on the region. Asus has treated the laptop’s surface with Antibacterial Guard that it says has 99% bacterial-inhibiting effect. It should keep the laptop safe for at least 3 years.

For content creators, the screen covers 100% DCI-P3 and even has Pantone Validation. Since it is a stylus-compatible touch screen, you can sketch on it with a compatible pen.

In terms of performance, Asus ZenBook S 13 OLED is available in Ryzen 5 6600U and Ryzen 7 6800U. Only the latter is currently available in Nepal. It is a mobile processor based on TSMC’s 6nm FinFET process. The chip has 8 CPU cores, all of which support Simultaneous Multithreading, contributing to 12 threads. The base clock is listed at 2.7GHz, whereas it can get up to 4.7GHz during single-core max boost.

The laptop ships with 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM soldered into the motherboard. So, there is no option to upgrade it down the line. Over on the storage front, you get 1TB of NVME PCIe 4.0 SSD.

Keyboard and Touchpad

Asus ErgoSense keyboard on the ZenBook S 13 OLED boasts 1.4mm of key travel. The keycaps have a 0.2mm dish, designed to match the shape of fingertips. You also get dedicated function keys and a fingerprint sensor integrated into the power button.

Accompanying the keyboard is the Asus NumberPad 2.0 trackpad. It can transform into a number pad with just a touch.
