A recent report by renowned tech journalist Mark Gurman of Bloomberg hints at Apple developing a new external monitor for Mac computers with the ability to function as a smart home display. This exciting feature has caught the attention of tech enthusiasts, who are waiting for Apple’s entry into the smart home arena.
Apple Mac Monitor with Smart Home Display Rumors:
According to sources, the upcoming monitor from Apple will have smart home capability along with a traditional display for Mac users. This means that they will be able to control and interact with their smart home appliances directly through their monitor — enabling a better and more efficient user experience.
Integration of iOS device chipset
Apple’s upcoming smart display will be powered by an in-house Bionic chipset. This integration is not surprising, considering the company uses the A13 chip on the Studio Display. Studio Display’s software intelligence focuses on camera and speaker system enhancements like Center Stage and Spatial Audio.
But, the exciting prospect of the smart display will lie in its ability to serve as a smart home device in a low-power mode. The recently introduced StandBy feature in iOS 17 offers a full-screen experience while charging the iPhone sideways. This could provide a glimpse into the software that might be utilized for the smart display.
StandBy allows users to conveniently view glanceable information from a distance, making it ideal for placement on nightstands, counters, and desks. It offers personalization options such as clock styles, favorite photos, and widgets (including Smart Stacks). It also supports Live Activities, Siri, calls, and larger notifications. The user interface of the StandBy feature in iOS 17 appears to be a natural fit for a dedicated hardware device like the smart display.
Anticipation and Future Outlook
Apple’s development into smart home technology doesn’t stop at the monitor. Reports also suggest that the company is exploring other monitor options, possibly as successors to the Pro Display XDR and Apple Studio Display. This indicates Apple’s commitment to continue pushing the boundaries of innovation and delivering cutting-edge products to its customers. With the promise of a powerful display coupled with smart home capabilities, Apple aims to redefine the way we interact with our devices and homes.
Expected Release Date of Mac Smart Monitor
The company has not disclosed the specific details and release date for the monitor. However, industry analysts speculate it may take until next year before the monitor becomes available to the public. Until then, tech enthusiasts can look forward to a future where their Mac experience extends beyond work and productivity. Additionally, embracing the convenience and possibilities of smart home technology.

Weeks before the unveiling of the Galaxy Z Fold 4, Samsung Galaxy Fold 4 has now received a massive price cut. So, let’s take a look at the specs, features, official price and availability of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3.
Samsung Z Fold 3 Overview:
Design and Display
The Z Fold 3 flaunts a 6.2-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X outer screen with HD+ (2260 × 832 pixels) resolution and a 7.6-inches QXGA+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X main display with FHD+ (2208 × 1768 pixels) resolution. Further, the main screen is also HDR10+ certified. Fortunately, the Fold 3’s screen has a 120Hz refresh rate on both sides.

Samsung has slashed the price of its flagship Galaxy S22 Ultra in Nepal. In this article, we will be discussing the key specs, features, availability, and updated price of the new Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra in Nepal.
Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra Overview:
Design and Display
The Galaxy S22 Ultra takes design cues from the Galaxy Note lineup. It now has a boxy design and a completely new camera housing which differentiates it from both its predecessor and the rest of the S22 lineup.
Compared to its predecessor, it now has a boxy design and completely new camera housing. Moreover, while the S21 Ultra already supported S-Pen, the S22 Ultra now brings a built-in silo for the stylus. The pen here has 70% less latency than Note 20 Ultra’s S-pen. More specifically, Samsung has brought down the input latency from 9ms to just 2.8ms here.
Over on the front, it boasts a 6.8-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel with a QHD+ resolution, 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, and 1750 nits of peak brightness. Unlike the other two devices in the series, Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra’s display curves at the two edges.
This display brings a new feature called “Vision Booster” which improves the screen’s visibility based on the ambient light intensity. You can crank up the touch sampling rate to 240Hz in the game mode. Similarly, it has Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection both on the front and the back.
Moreover, the S22 Ultra is IP68-certified for dust and water resistance. It is available in four color options—Phantom Black, Phantom White, Green, and Burgundy. However, the Phantom White option isn’t available in Nepal right now.
Performance
At its core, the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra is powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 or Exynos 2200 processor. While the Nepali market usually got the Exynos variant of Samsung’s Galaxy “S” series of smartphones, that’s not the case this time around.
Galaxy s22 Ultra arrives with snapdragon 8 gen 1 chip in Nepal.
This chipset has been coupled with 8 or 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 3.1 internal storage. However, only the 12GB variant of the S22 Ultra is available in Nepal with two memory configurations: 256GB and 512GB. As for the software, it runs on Android 12-based OneUI 4 and the company has promised 4 years of Android upgrades and 5 years of security patches.
Despite early rumors of an Olympus-branded 200MP penta-camera setup, Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra comes with a quad-camera setup at the back. Leading the array is an improved 108MP primary sensor with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). This is accompanied by a 10MP periscope telephoto lens with 10x optical zoom and another 10MP periscope lens with 3x digital zoom. At last, there’s a 12MP ultra-wide lens with a 120° field-of-view (FOV).
The primary and the ultrawide lens are now covered by Super Clear Glass which reduces lens flare. At the front, it has a 40MP sensor in the punch-hole cutout. Furthermore, the S22 Ultra has a 2.4um pixel sensor—Samsung’s largest pixel sensor ever—which captures more light.
There is now a feature called Adaptive Pixel which dynamically switches between 12.5MP and 108MP based on the surrounding light. It can even shoot simultaneously at the two modes and combine results for better photos.
As hinted by early rumors, the Samsung S22 Ultra has a lot of new camera software features. Features such as Detail Enhancer, Auto Framerate, and Super Night Solution were showcased at the launch event. Since then Samsung has also added the capabilities to take “Astrophotos” and multi-exposure shots in Expert RAW and Camera Assistant via software updates.
Fueling the device is a 5000mAh battery that supports 45W fast charging. Besides, it also supports 15W wireless charging and Wireless PowerShare. For biometrics, it has an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor.
Galaxy S22 Ultra Specifications:
Body: 163.3 x 77.9 x 8.9mm, 229 grams, IP68 rated, Gorilla Glass Victus+, Aluminum frame, S-pen support
Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra Price in Nepal [Official]
The latest price of the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra in Nepal is Rs. 179,999. This price is for the 256GB variant and includes free one-year breakage insurance.
Samsung announced the Galaxy Z Flip 4 back in August 2022. Unlike the Z Fold 4 unveiled at the same event, this is a clamshell foldable device. Although a bit late, the phone made its debut in Nepal back in January. So let’s walk through the specs, features, availability, and official price of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 in Nepal.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 Overview:
Design, Display
The Galaxy Z Flip 4 doesn’t bring a major overhaul in terms of design. The external display remains unchanged at 1.9 inches diagonally. And as expected, it is a Super AMOLED panel that allows you to read notifications and access widgets for different apps.
It’s not only the outer screen but the exterior of the Z Flip 4 stays the same as well. The frames are still made of Armor Aluminium and the thickness remains the same at 17.1 mm at the hinge and 15.9 mm where the ends of the display meet. Therefore the gap when the phone is folded is the same size.
But what sets its apart from the Z Flip 3 is that its primary cameras are a bit more pronounced and the sides have been flattened this time around. It is available in Graphite, Blue, Pink Gold, and Bora Purple colors.
The clamshell foldable reveals a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED display inside. It flaunts a Full HD resolution with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate. Furthermore, Samsung claims that the panel is now 45% stronger as a result of changes in the display structure and stronger ultra-thin glass.
In terms of ingress protection, both the interior and exterior displays employ Gorilla Glass Victus. The Flip also keeps its IPX8 classification, which means it can be underwater for up to 30 minutes in up to 5 feet of water.
Performance, Battery
Under the hood, Z Flip 4 packs Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip. Likewise, it comes in three storage configurations: 8/128GB, 8/256GB, and 8/512GB. Over on the software front, you get Android 12-based One UI 4.1 out-of-the-box, although a stable version of the new One UI 5 (Android 13) update is already available for the Z Flip 4.
Moving on, the Galaxy Z Flip 4 has improved on last year’s Flip’s battery life with a slightly bigger 3700mAh cell. The charging speed has also been increased from the Flip 3’s meager 15W to 25W. This lets you charge the smartphone to 50% in about 30 minutes.
Cameras
Furthermore, the Flip 4 retains the same camera hardware specifications as last year. That implies a dual-camera configuration with two 12MP lenses—one main and one ultrawide. A 10MP selfie camera is housed on the main screen.
Users can activate the features like FlexCam to shoot group selfies from various angles by partially folding the phone. Similarly, Samsung has collaborated with Meta to optimize its FlexCam service for major social media platforms like Instagram, Whatsapp, and Facebook.
Rest of the specs
Besides this, the Z Flip 4 utilizes a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for biometrics. The connectivity option includes WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, and 5G. To note, it comes the support for one nano SIM and one eSIM. You are not missing out on Samsung’s hardware-level Knox security either.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 Specifications:

Samsung launched its latest foldables at the “Galaxy Unpacked” event back in August 2022. The new Galaxy Z Fold 4 brings a bunch of quality-of-life upgrades over last year’s Galaxy Z Fold 3—instead of a massive generational leap. But that was to be expected. In this article, we’ll be discussing all the upgrades, complete specifications, availability, official price in Nepal, and more of the all-new Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 Overview:
Design & Build
The Fold 3 was Samsung’s big push in terms of creating durable foldables. From IPX8 water resistance to Armor Aluminum hinge, stylus support, and an 80% tougher main display, it had it all. Not all, exactly. It still lacked dust ingress protection and above all, the phone weighed a lot heavier than a typical slab smartphone.
Samsung hasn’t figured out dust resistance on foldables quite yet, but the Fold 4 is now roughly 3% lighter than its predecessor (263 gm < 271 gm).
And unlike how Samsung had to cut the battery size to reduce the weight coming from Fold 2 to Fold 3, this guy doesn’t make the same sacrifice. Instead, you can thank the new slimmer, rotational hinge mechanism for this. The company had been using a gear-based structure for all its previous Galaxy Z Fold devices. But the new single hinge mechanism not only makes way for a lighter phone but also thinner foldables.
Happy now?
Similarly, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 also addresses the “aspect ratio complaint” of the cover display on its predecessor. The phone is now shorter and wider, with a 23.1:9 aspect ratio on the front and 21.6:18 inside, as opposed to 24.5:9 and 5:4 on Fold 3.
Although the cover display here is narrower than your typical 20:9 or 21:9 aspect ratio on smartphones—and even a few foldables like Honor Magic Vs or the OPPO Find N2—this upgrade makes the Fold 4’s cover display a lot more pleasing to get around.
But Fold 4 still doesn’t fold flat like most of the competition though. And to our disappointment, unlike the main display, its cover display is not stylus friendly either. On top of this, there’s no silo inside the Fold 4 for the S Pen Fold Edition or the S Pen Pro yet. Other minor but notable upgrades on the design front include Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection on the cover display and the back.
Fold 4 - Color Options
1 of 3
Beige
Graygreen
Phantom Black
As for the colorways, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 will be available in the classic Phantom Black, Graygreen, and Beige options. And in select markets like the US and UK, Samsung will also be offering certain exclusive color options on top of the Bespoke Edition. Almost forgot, the Fold 4 has also been tested to withstand 200,000 folds and unfolds.
Despite the slightly modified dimensions, the Fold 4’s display sizes have remained the same. Both on the front and inside, but with a lot slimmer bezels. Its cover display is a 6.2″ HD+ unit while you’re greeted with a 7.6″ QXGA screen inside.
Samsung has used a Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel on both sides with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate. But like last year, only the main display features LTPO backplane technology to enable switching the refresh rate between 1 and 120Hz.
Improved damping structure with sponge (main display)
Samsung also says it has optimized the layer structure to help reduce external shock damage on the main display. The crease has also undergone some minor readjustment with a new enhanced adhesive on the PET screen protector and whatnot. It’s now visibly less prominent compared to Fold 3, but still not on the same level as what OPPO’s foldables manage.
Performance
When it comes to performance, the Fold 4 brings your usual chipset upgrade. Now powered by Qualcomm’s 2022 mid-year refresh, the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. Based on TSMC’s 4nm process node, this chip reportedly delivers excellent power efficiency which should result in better battery endurance here. Complementing the 8+ Gen 1 is 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB to 1TB of UFS 3.1 internal storage.
Yep, sadly the 128GB base variant rumors were too good to be true after all.
But the biggest upgrade we were expecting that didn’t come to fruition is definitely the price drop. Even though the pre-order and trade-in offers are ridiculously lucrative in the western parts of the world, the price of Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 in countries and Nepal, unfortunately, won’t go down much compared to Fold 3.
Besides the chipset upgrade, Samsung has introduced some really cool software features as well. First off, the phone runs on Android 12L-based One UI 4.1.1. The One UI 5 (Android 13) update is already available for the Fold 4, by the way. Intended specifically for large screen and foldable devices, this version of Android introduces some helpful multitasking features including a PC-like “Taskbar” on the bottom part of the main display.
Gestures are now swifter, switching between apps is more intuitive, while a handful of apps like Facebook, TikTok, Gmail, Chrome, Microsoft Office, and Outlook have also been better optimized to make the most of the main display. And like Samsung’s other flagship devices, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 will get 4 generations of OS and 5 years of security updates too.
Cameras
Cameras see a healthy upgrade as well, although in the same layout as before. But I’m not complaining! Samsung has replaced the 12MP trio in the last two generations of Fold devices this time with a 50MP wide, a 12MP ultrawide, and a 10MP telephoto camera with 3x optical and 30x Space Zoom this time. Oh, and the wide and telephoto sensors are optically stabled too.
Cameras

Front
Back
On the other hand, the 10MP camera on the cover display has remained the same. But according to Samsung, the second-gen 4MP under-display camera (UDC) on the main display now uses a scatter-type sub-pixel arrangement which should help it stay a lot less noticeable compared to the one on the Fold 3. 40% denser pixel density, claims Samsung.
Apart from hardware upgrades, there are also a few cool computational photography stuff to look out for. This includes Nightography for better low-light images, a larger zoom map on Capture View Mode, Dual Preview, and more.
Rest of the features
What’s left? Yeah, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 borrows the same 4400mAh battery as the Fold 3 alongside charging speeds. You’re looking at 25W wired, 10W wireless, and 4.5W reverse wireless charging support.
Wireless connectivity options include WiFi 6E, dual-SIM 5G, NFC, Ultra-Wideband (UWB), etc. You can also use your NTC or Ncell eSIM on this phone. Likewise, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 is rocking the same stereo speakers as its predecessor with Dolby Atmos audio. As for security, there’s the same-old trusty side-mounted fingerprint reader, Samsung Knox, and Samsung Knox Vault support.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 Price in Nepal and Availability
The initial price of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 in Nepal was Rs. 244,999 for the sole 12/256GB variant. However, Samsung is currently offering a flat Rs. 45,000 cashback on the Fold 4. And it is available for purchase in Nepal from authorized stores like Hukut.
Samsung launched the latest Galaxy S22 series in Nepal in February 2022. So, let’s check out the latest price of the Samsung Galaxy S22 and S22 Plus (S22+) in Nepal following the latest price revision.
Samsung Galaxy S22 and S22 Plus Price in Nepal
The price of the Galaxy S22 Plus is Rs. 137,999 for the 8/256GB variant. Similarly, the vanilla Galax S22 price is Rs. 109,999 for the 8/256GB variant.
Unlike the Galaxy S22 Ultra, this year’s S22 and S22 Plus don’t bring any significant changes in their design. Still, they have smaller form factors compared to their respective predecessors.
That’s because Samsung has reduced the screen size on both phones by a marginal 0.1-inch. Vanilla S22 has a 6.1-inch screen, whereas the S22 Plus sports a 6.6-inch panel. The latter sports a peak brightness of 1,750 nits while the former has a peak of 1,300 nits. Also, the bezels are a lot more symmetrical now.
Here, both are FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X panels with a 120Hz variable refresh rate. The touch-sampling rate reaches up to 240Hz in game mode.
Like the Ultra model, they have Vision Booster technology that adjusts the light intensity based on the ambient condition. These handsets also have IP68 certifications against dust and water damage.
Over on the back, they have the same camera modules that extend out of the metal frames. Likewise, there’s Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection on the rear and the front of the devices. Similarly, Samsung offers the S22 and S22 Plus in Phantom Black, Phantom White, Green, and Pink Gold color. However, the Green color variant is not available in Nepal.
Performance
Moving on, Samsung ships the S22 and S22 Plus with two processors—either Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 or Exynos 2200, depending on the region. Unlike previous editions, the Nepali market is getting the Snapdragon variant of the Galaxy S22 Series. Anyway, both chipset variants are coupled with 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage.
Similarly, these phones boot on Android 12 based OneUI 4. In addition, Samsung is promising 4 years of Android updates and an additional year of security patches on its latest flagships.
At the back, Samsung Galaxy S22 and S22 Plus both flaunt a triple camera setup. They now use a new 50MP primary sensor with 23% bigger pixels than last year’s 12MP module. A bigger pixel can capture more light, enhancing the overall quality of the image. Likewise, you also get 12MP ultrawide and a 10MP telephoto lens.
The primary and telephoto lenses come with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). Like S22 Ultra, they are powered by Video Digital Image Stabilization (VDIS) technology that minimizes vibrations of the video even when you’re moving. Both devices have a 10MP selfie camera on the front.
Samsung also mentions the use of Super Clear Glass on the camera module to reduce lens flare. However, it’s not clear if it’s only on the primary lens or the whole setup.
On the software front, there is now a new feature called “Adaptive Pixel” that switches between 50MP and 12MP based on the lighting condition. It can even shoot at both modes and combine two pictures for higher quality. There is also something called “Detail Enhancer” for the 50MP model.
Moreover, there’s the auto-framing feature that detects and tracks up to ten people and automatically adjusts the camera focus. Other features include Object Remover, Auto Framing, Director’s View, and more.
Aside from that, the vanilla S22 gets its power from a 3800mAh battery. On the contrary, the S21 from last year has a bigger 4000mAh battery instead. Samsung has also reduced the battery capacity of S22+ from 4800mAh on the S21 Plus to 4500mAh.
In terms of charging, the vanilla S22 supports 25W wired charging, while the Plus variant is compatible with up to 45W. For biometrics, there’s an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner on both S22 and S22 Plus.
Humane, a startup from former Apple employees, has been creating buzz in the tech industry for quite some time now. The company, which is primarily targeted at bringing AI-powered devices, has announced its first product called the “Humane Ai Pin”. This smart wearable AI product is designed to replace your smartphone in the near future, although so much about the device is still unknown.
Humane Ai Pin Overview:
A look back at the TED event
Well, this is not the first time we’ve heard about the Humane Ai Pin. Back in April, the company’s co-founder Imran Chaudhri took the stage at the TED event, wearing what we assume was an Ai Pin in his breast pocket. He demoed a phone call projected right on his palm and then proceeded to answer it hands-free. Other than this, Ai Pin was also able to evaluate the content of a chocolate bar to recommend if it was safe to eat or not.
The full design of the Humane Ai Pin is still behind the curtains. But if what we’ve seen from the TED conference is anything to go by, the device will likely be screenless and compact that can easily fit in a pocket. The official teaser image also shows colorful lighting on the top of the device. While its camera and microphones seem to be always on. The Ai Pin also has a built-in speaker for taking hands-free calls and voice responses.
What’s up with the “Ai”?
Artificial Intelligence is generally abbreviated to “AI”. But Humane is calling its product “Ai” with a lowercase “i”. So, what does it mean? Well, this might have something to do with Apple’s use of a lowercase “i” on its several products like iPhone, iPod, iPad, etc. After all, Humane is formed by ex-Apple employees and they are seemingly taking some inspiration from Apple’s naming scheme here.
Another interesting fact is that Chaudhri himself was one of the important figures behind developing the iPhone’s touch-based UI. Meanwhile, the company’s co-founder and CEO, Bethany Bongiorno, was also one of the project managers for iOS and macOS.
Humane Ai Pin Price and Availability
As of now, the release date and pricing info of the Humane Ai Pin are still in the dark. The company is currently taking sign-ups for a waitlist. We’ll update the article as soon as new info becomes available.
A California-based company, Alef Aeronautics, has received approval from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for its Model A flying car. Like Doc Brown’s retrofitted DeLorean in the “Back to the Future” series, the car can switch between driving on roads and flying in the air. Alef has been testing a full-sized prototype of this car since 2019 and recently got permission from the FAA, making it the first flying car with the Special Airworthiness Certification.
One small step for planes, one giant step for cars.
Alef Model A overview:
The Model A is a 100% electric car you can take on the road like a normal car. That said, it is capable of taking off and landing vertically, which gives it an edge over traditional cars and even other EVs. Inside, the Alef Model A flying car is spacious enough for carrying up to two occupants.
Alef Aeronautics unveiled this innovative flying car during a press conference in October last year. The grand event took place at Draper University in San Mateo, California, where the company showcased the full-sized sports car model, along with two fully functional technology demonstrator cars.
Major Features
The Model A flying car has some notable features. It has a gimbaled cabin design that keeps the driver and passenger stable during takeoff and flight. The car also has closed propellers, which make it safer. Also, it has an all-wheel drive.
When it comes to how far it can go, the Model A can drive up to 200 miles on the road, and when it flies, it can go up to 110 miles. This means that people can reach their destinations without getting stuck in traffic.
Alef’s Model A has received a limited Special Airworthiness Certification from the FAA for further testing this Tuesday. The approval signifies progress in developing policies for electric vertical takeoff and landing vehicles.
When the Model A is on the road, it will be considered a Low-Speed Vehicle (LSV), which means it will have some limitations according to traffic safety regulations from the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and local state agencies. However, Alef expects that drivers will use the flying capabilities of the car when they need to get somewhere faster.

Alef has designed Model A as an eco-friendly and efficient option for traveling and plans to deliver the car to the market by 2025. It has received a lot of interest from individuals and businesses, with many pre-orders already placed. Priced at $298,520, this innovative vehicle offers a potential solution to traffic crowding by providing an alternative mode of transportation.
