Samsung has already launched a bunch of budget phones, including the A04, A04s, and A04e. The company is now set to launch the A14, leaks suggest. It will be the successor to last year’s A13 and will be an incremental upgrade. So, let’s walk through all the rumors and leaks surrounding the upcoming Samsung Galaxy A14.
Samsung Galaxy A14 Rumors Roundup:
We already have an idea about the appearance of the Galaxy A14. Based on these renders by OnLeaks, we are not getting any significant design changes except for the cameras on the back. Samsung is getting rid of the fourth sensor and moving the LED flash in its place. The rest of the three sensors are placed in a vertical line, just like on the A13 4G.
According to the rumors, Samsung Galaxy A14 will have the same 50MP primary camera as its predecessor. The selfie camera is getting an upgrade, though. A14 will now have a 13MP selfie shooter, up from last year’s 8MP.
Over on the front, you will get a 6.8-inch LCD screen with a water drop notch. The screen will have an FHD resolution and will probably refresh at the standard rate of 60Hz.
Samsung Galaxy A14 was recently spotted on the Geekbench listing with the SM-A145P model number. It also revealed the Helio G80 chipset on the inside. The phone will ship with Android 13-based One UI 5,0. It’s not clear how many memory configurations, but the Geekbench listing does confirm a 4GB RAM variant.
The phone will be powered by a 5,000mAh battery and will have a Type-C port for charging. The phone will also retain the 3.5mm headphone jack and a single down-firing speaker. For biometrics, Samsung Galaxy A14 will come with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
Samsung Galaxy A14 Launch Date (Official)
As per a report, Samsung will unveil the Galaxy A14 towards the end of the year. As such, we will be hearing more about the phone in the coming weeks.

Back in April, Xiaomi unveiled the 12X along with the Xiaomi 12. And now, the two flagships have undergone price drops. In this article, we will be discussing the specs, features, official price, and availability of Xiaomi 12X in Nepal.
Xiaomi 12X Price in Nepal and Availability
When it first launched in Nepal, the Xiaomi 12X cost Rs. 76,999 for the sole 8/256GB. After the recent price drop, Xiaomi 12X now has a new price of Rs. 71,999 in Nepal. You can purchase it from Xiaomi outlets across Nepal and Hukut online store.
Xiaomi 12X resembles the vanilla 12 in most parts. However, the two differ in one key aspect. While the Xiaomi 12 packs the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, the 12X replaces it with Snapdragon 870. This allows Xiaomi 12X to come at a much cheaper price.
Nevertheless, this is still a powerful phone—despite not featuring the latest chip. You might already know that Snapdragon 870 is a variant of the Snapdragon 865/865+ with the prime core clocked at 3.2GHz. Handling the graphics is Adreno 650 (@670MHz).
Besides this, the rest of the specs sheet is identical to that of Xiaomi 12. The 12X has the same design and form factor. There are three color options to choose from: Black, Purple, and Blue. Likewise, its rear panel is built of glass—although there is no option for PU leather here.
Moving on, you get a 6.28″ curved AMOLED display here with a 120Hz refresh rate and 12-bit color depth. On top of HDR10+, the Xiaomi 12X also supports Dolby Vision like the other two phones in the lineup.
The triple camera setup at the back consists of a 50MP IMX766 sensor with OIS, accompanied by a 13MP ultrawide and a 5MP telemacro lens. Upfront, there is a 32MP selfie camera inside the punch-hole.
Finally, the phone relies on a 4,500mAh battery for its juice. It supports 67W wired fast charging, while there is no support for wireless charging here.
Xiaomi 12X Specifications:
Body: 152.7 x 69.9 x 8.16mm, 176gm
Display: 6.28″ AMOLED panel, 120Hz refresh rate, Up to 480Hz touch sampling rate, HDR10+, 1100 nits max brightness, 12-bit colors, Dolby Vision
Xiaomi 12 is the middle ground between the 12X and 12 Pro in Xiaomi’s flagship lineup. The phone has now received a price drop in Nepal as a part of the company’s Dashain campaign. So, let’s look at the specs, features, official price, and availability of the Xiaomi 12 in Nepal.
Xiaomi 12 Price in Nepal and Availability
The official price of Xiaomi 12 in Nepal is Rs. 84,999. This price is for the sole 8/256GB variant and can be purchased from Xiaomi authorised retail shops and online partners like Hukut Store.
Xiaomi 12 sports a 6.28″ AMOLED screen with curved sides. It’s an FHD+ panel with support for 12-bit color depth, 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision. This display has also been awarded DisplayMate’s A+ certification.
The back of the phone has an AG glass build, whereas the side frames are metal. Similarly, Xiaomi has used Corning Gorilla Glass Victus on the front. The phone is available in three color options, plus a Special Edition with Wild Green Leather.
Performance and Memory
Like the Xiaomi 12 Pro, this one packs Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset as well. There are three memory configurations to choose from: 8/128GB, 8/256GB, and 12/256GB. All variants use LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. The phone ships with MIUI 13 based on Android 12 out-of-the-box.
Moving on, Xiaomi has included a 2600mm2 vapor chamber cooling to keep the phone’s temperature in check.
At the back, the phone flaunts a triple camera setup led by a 50MP sensor. Unlike its Pro sibling, Xiaomi 12 is using a 1/1.56″ Sony IMX766 sensor with 2.0μm 4-in-1 pixel binning. The primary sensor even has Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). It is accompanied by a 13MP ultrawide and a 5MP telemacro lens.
Additionally, Xiaomi 12 borrows a feature called “CyberFocus” from the CyberDog. It’s an advanced autofocus system capable of identifying different types of subjects and tracking their movements.
Over on the front, there is a 32MP selfie camera with support for an advanced beauty portrait mode.
Rest of the specs
Moving on, Xiaomi 12 packs a 4,500mAh battery. Sadly, it doesn’t get the same Surge P1 chip as the Pro variant. Regardless, it supports 67W wired, 50W wireless, and 10W reverse wireless charging. Other notable features include an in-display fingerprint scanner, Wi-Fi 6 connectivity, and Bluetooth 5.2.

Redmi Note 11 Pro Series (4G/5G) Overview:
Performance and Memory
What separates the Note 11 Pro 5G from its 4G counterpart is the chipset. Redmi has included a 6nm-based Snapdragon 695 chipset, which is different from the Helio G96 found on the 4G variant.
Both 4G and 5G models of the Redmi Note 11 Pro are equipped with Xiaomi’s LiquidCool technology. In terms of memory, Note 11 Pro can be configured with up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
Design and Display
Designwise, the two devices are the same. Like the rest of the lineup, Redmi Note 11 Pro phones have a flat edge design. They also have a splash-proof IP53 rating. The Note 11 5G has a fancy Atlantic Blue color option compared to gradient Star Blue on the 4G one. Graphite White and Polar White are common among the models.
Over on the front, Redmi Note 11 Pro has a 6.67” FHD+ AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and 360Hz touch sampling rate. Likewise, it can achieve peak brightness of up to 1200 nits and is protected by Gorilla Glass 5.
Camera
At the back, Redmi Note Pro 5G has one less camera than its 4G counterpart. However, it won’t be a major concern since it’s a 2MP depth sensor that is missing. The rest of the camera setup is the same.
Both get the same 108MP primary camera with ISOCELL HM2 sensor. The sensor combines 9 small pixels for a combined 2.1 m pixel. It is accompanied by an 8MP ultrawide camera and a 2MP macro sensor. There is a 16MP sensor on the front for selfies and video calls.
Fueling the Redmi Note 11 Pro is a 5,000mAh battery with support for 67W turbo-charging. Xiaomi ships the phone with a compatible charger. The phone boots on Android 11-based MIUI 13. It has a stereo speaker setup and doesn’t miss out on a 3.5mm headphone jack either.
Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G (Chinese Version)
There is also a Chinese version of the Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G. It shares most of the specs as the Global Redmi Note 11 5G. However, it is powered by Dimensity 920 5G chipset and also has JBL-tuned stereo speakers. The Pro+ version even supports 120W fast charging.
Months after its global launch, Redmi has finally brought the Note 11S to the Nepali market. In this article, we will go through the specs, features, and official price of the Redmi Note 11S in Nepal.
Redmi Note 11S Overview:
Design and Display
To begin, the Note 11S sports a 6.43-inch AMOLED screen with FHD+ resolution. While the screen size is the same as the Note 10S, Redmi has upped the refresh rate from 60Hz to 90Hz, as well as the touch sampling rate to 180Hz. The panel has a peak brightness of 1000 nits and comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection on the front.
Moreover, the phone sports a flat-frame design and IP53 certification for splash resistance. It weighs just 179 grams and measures 8.09mm thick. The Redmi Note 11S is available in three color options—Polar White, Space Black, and Horizon Black.
Under the hood, the Note 11S is powered by a MediaTek Helio G96 processor. This is paired with up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage. The latter is expandable up to 1TB via a microSD card. On to the software side of things, it runs on Android 11-based MIUI 13.
Camera
In terms of cameras, the device flaunts a quad-camera setup on the back. Its predecessor boasts a 64MP primary camera, however, the Note 11s has a 108MP Samsung HM2 primary sensor. Accompanying this is an 8MP ultrawide, and two 2MP macro and depth lenses. For selfies, it has a 16MP camera on the punch-hole cutout.
Moving on, the smartphone gets its juice from a 5000mAh battery and supports 33W fast charging. And, you get the 33W charger inside the box. For biometrics, it has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. Likewise, on to the audio front, you get a dual speaker setup and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Redmi unveiled its latest Note series last night. Among the four new devices launched, the vanilla Note 11 is the first to launch in Nepal. In this article, we will be discussing the key specs, features, official price, and availability of the Redmi Note 11 in Nepal.
Redmi Note 11 Overview:
To start with, the Redmi Note 11 is a completely different device from the Note 11 5G that went official in China last year. Here, the global version of the Redmi Note 11 is a 4G smartphone, and it sports a flat edge design. They also differ in display, performance, and camera specs.
Design and Display
As I mentioned earlier, Redmi Note 11 now comes with flat edges. The phone is 8.09mm thick and weighs around 180 grams. It is available in three colors—Graphite Gray, Twilight Blue, and Star Blue. The first two offer a matte finish, while the third has a shiny gradient look to it.
Over on the front, there is a 6.43” FHD+ AMOLED panel, which now supports the DCI-P3 color gamut. Likewise, it’s a 90Hz panel with a 180Hz touch sampling rate. It can even hit brightness of up to 1000 nits.
Performance and Memory
In terms of performance, the Redmi Note 11 is powered by Snapdragon 680 chipset. The silicon is fabricated on a 6nm process, which makes it more power-efficient. That being said, it doesn’t offer much improvement on the performance when compared against Snapdragon 678.
There are three memory configurations to choose from—4/64GB, 4/128GB, and 6/128GB. Weirdly, the phone still ships with Android 11 despite Xiaomi already announcing its Android 12-based MIUI 13.
Over on the back, Redmi has upgraded the primary camera to a 50MP sensor. The rest of the camera setup looks identical to that of last year. Accompanying the primary camera is an 8MP ultrawide lens. Likewise, there are two 2MP sensors for macro and portrait shots.
As for selfies, there is a 13MP camera with an f/2.4 aperture on the front.
Rest of the specs
Fueling the phone is the same 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging. A compatible charger is included in the box. It will take the phone from 0 to 100% in one hour.
In terms of connectivity, the phone has 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, and an IR Blaster. Redmi is also offering NFC support in limited regions.
Redmi Note 11 5G Chinese Versions (4G, 5G)
As mentioned earlier, Redmi also offers a 5G variant of the Note 11, which is currently exclusive to the Chinese market. It sports a bigger 6.6-inch LCD screen but has a lower refresh rate of 90Hz. In addition, the phone’s edges are curved rather than flat.
Likewise, the phone gets a completely different chipset treatment. Here, you will find MediaTek Dimensity 810 5G at the helm. The camera and battery specs look identical except it is missing the two 2MP sensors.
There is also a Note 11 4G in China which is a straight-up rebranded Note 10 Prime that we have in the Nepalese market.
The Redmi Note 11 price in Nepal starts at Rs. 23,999 for the 4/64GB variant. Similarly, the 4/128GB and 6/128GB variants are priced at NPR 24,999 and NPR 27,999, respectively.
As Android 13 is official now, smartphone manufacturers are revealing their OS update roadmaps. Realme has also joined the fray, revealing Android 13 rollout plans for the global market. Continue reading to learn more about the Realme UI 4.0 update based on Android 13.
Realme UI 4.0 Update Roadmap
Realme plans to roll out the new OS update based on Android 13 to as many as 30 smartphones. However, the roadmap revealed by the brand is not for a stable version, but rather early access to the Realme UI 4.0. This will help to eliminate any bugs prior to the release of the stable update.
This also means that not all devices will have early access to the new OS. Only those who have enrolled in the trial program will receive the update. According to Realme, the early access stage will last four weeks, followed by the open beta stage, which will last another four weeks. Users can then anticipate the stable rollout.
Realme has already released early access update for the Realme GT 2 Pro in August. It was followed by Realme GT Neo3, GT 2 in September, and GT Neo 3T, Realme 9 Pro+ 5G, 9 Pro 5G, and 9i 5G in October. Here is the Android 13 early access roadmap for all the Realme smartphones.
This early access roadmap, according to Realme, is only for users in India. However, the company confirmed that devices eligible for the Android 13-based Realme UI 4.0 update in India will also receive the update in other countries and regions. It’s just that the rollout timeline may differ.

Samsung plans to release public builds of One UI 5.0 based on Android 13 before the end of the month. The manufacturer launched the One UI 5.0 Beta program for the Galaxy S22 series two months ago. Continue reading to learn more about the Android 13-based Samsung One UI 5.0 update.
Samsung One UI 5 Update Roadmap
Samsung has already released the stable One UI 5 updates (based on Android 12) to the S22 series. The company has now confirmed the update for the rest of the Galaxy lineup.
According to Samsung, the new software update will be available in November for the majority of its high-end phones and tablets. Older flagships and mid-range Galaxy devices receive the OneUI 5.0 update in December. The remaining mid-range devices will be updated to OneUI 5.0 in January 2023.
This One UI 5 update roadmap is for South Korea and thus includes some Korea-exclusive devices. However, global users can take it as a reference. Devices not listed above but eligible for the update will get the update in the first two quarters of 2023.
Samsung discussed the new version of One UI at large during its annual SDC (Samsung Developer Conference event). Nearly two months after Android 13 made its way to the Android Open Source Project (AOSP), the smartphone manufacturer is officially launching One UI 5.0 update for its Galaxy devices.
What’s New?
Android 13 is a relatively minor update over Android 12. However, with the One UI 5.0 update, Samsung is bringing a few of its own customization features to the platform. One of the most noticeable changes in the new OS is the revamped lock screen. It now supports new clock styles as well as video wallpapers, among other things. Users will be able to edit these directly from the lock screen, much like with iOS 16.
The brand is also adding Stacked Widgets support, which allows users to place multiple widgets on a single home screen and navigate through them. Samsung has also improved the animations, quick toggle area, and notification customization with the One UI 5. Users will also be able to customize call background effects for specific contacts.
